Awesome video! Love this apartment tours in Vancouver types of video. The apartment is really nice, especially for downtown. In the middle of the video I realized I already watched this apartment tour on Stephen's channel about 6 months ago haha. But it was still a really great watch!

It’s amazing how much places change between the 1500 range and 2000 range! Unfortunately 1500 was my upper limit (ended up going to 1550) He’s done well!

the 2050$ is misleading. It is around 2600$ now for 1 bedroom in the same building. Yeah, he probably still pays 2050$ due to he rent at the lowest price during Covid and BC's renting increasing policy(no more than 2% increasing year to year). Vancouver is expensive and the lowest afforddable city in north america.

hey Adam, great video!!! Question: when the CRA says there's an allowance of 1 overlapping year for primary residence exemption in Canada, do they mean from the date the overlap plus 365 days? I'm curious to know if I were to close on a new property in say April 1st 2022, when will be the last day I should sell the existing primary residence in order to avoid capital gains taxes on the sale?

I have been looking and places like your go for 3k, did you get hooked up? just curious maybe i should be patient and maybe I can find a place similar to yours

It’s not just a Canadian thing, it’s possible in other countries. And I’ve not heard of anyone else doing it Canada, though I did look it up recently as I don’t plan to be in my current unit for very long.

Ceilings are so low, makes me claustrophobic. I own a loft with 18 foot ceilings in Jersey City and am sensitive to low ceiling height.

With the housing crisis. BC should give free lands to migrants so they can buy the 20k elon musk houses. Its silly to rent for 2k when your salary reaches 2.5k.
