Personally I'd go for the 2nd one purely as the living & dining area is not so closely overlooked by other buildings as the 1st unit. Only downside to no.2 is it might get a bit warm inside during the day as the sun passes around.
Locals have told me to NEVER rent a top floor condo because it's like being in a toaster oven, kind of like the upstairs part of your home was, and it was so bad you couldn't use it. I definitely like that first unit and the view it had.
Thanks for all. I am on the lookout for rentals with a second bedroom/home office for a bed, full-sized desk, and the occasional guest, and, 2. outdoor cooking unit or a kitchen with outside door, window, or exhaust fan to outdoors, and a two baths. Hi Jon, 3:26 is ominous, looks like an 80's nuke/desolation movie with the radioactive cloud coming closer and closer in the distance (sry just watched the latestTrump/fox interview so maybe a bit overly dramatic). Thank you for doing these, it is what it is! You're our man in Thailand.
I almost rented a condo in this building a few days ago, but the noise from the road is ummm, a little too distracting lol. In other news, your vids are great, look forward to seeing more growth for you on here.
I think I would prefer somewhere in the old City, close to markets and park. Lots of hidden gems like restaurant and ma and pa shops selling fruit from their garden. So much of the City I still need to discover.
Yeah the old city is awesome, trying to think off the top of my head I don't think there are any condos actually in the old city (I'm going to check this), but you can do long term hotels for similar prices but yeah it would only be one room :)
Great video. But! You can only get a 30 day visa. It's very complicated to stay over 30 days. Unltyou are over 55 years old and you are retiring there.
I'd do either one of those in a heartbeat! I like the size and the view and the kitchen. My goal is to spend slightly less, but I'd be willing to open my wallet for these, no question.
Could you mention about access to all floors - as disabled OAP it is often omitted but would be useful to know about lifts - and if there is more than one as often older premises the LIFT IS OUT OF ORDER
Yep, this is actually a good size unit for Thailand, many are a lot smaller. Tend to get better value and a lot more room in a house a short way out of the city :)
I think the price reflects what you get. Why would anyone want to seat on this terrace? . You can imagine the pollution and smell from those thousands of passing vehicles.
BINGO you got it...first came to Thailand 43 years ago...Chiangmai 37 years ago...beautiful Condo Apartments all over but but noisy insane Traffic most everywhere these Days...Thailand was magic...was...in just 10 years obnoxious changes in quality of Life.
It’s nice Jon but but the noise you can hear the cars go by 500 us the view is amazing if you had a gym and a pool but if you only have a pension of £1300 you can stay here some people will think its to big but if there is two people you could pay half and go Dutch 😂
Jon if I decide to stay for 1 year on a student visa, I will rent that place and you can come over anytime and drink some coffee and stare at that view 😂
