Yay! I’m so happy you reacted to this! By the way, the song “So Hot” is from the k-pop group “Wonder Girls”.But BLACKPINK made it a bit different.

This song was originally a song made by JYP (one of the big 3 company in South Korea) for their then girl group Wonder Girls. It is one of the rare occassion where a big company, allowed another big company to borrow a song and have their group to performed it. Since the original song didn't match the style of Blackpink, YG, through their subsidiaries, Black Label, remixed the sound and along with Jennie and Lisa, rewrite the rap lyrics. The song itself wouldn't be listed in any of their mini album, as it was still listed as JYP's song. JYP's founder and CEO, is very much fascinated by Blackpink when they come and performed in one of his show, Party People.

Over a year later but...check out the original MV by Wonder Girls and you'll see why they (and Twice) covered this song. It's an irresistible song which is why groups honor it by covering it. They've done a show called "Weekly Idol" twice, a show called "idol room" once and a show called "knowing brother" once. They've done some others too but these ones are the best imo. The weekly idol shows should be on youtube but I think you'll have to find their Idol Room and Knowing Brother appearances on another site. Kshowonline will have them with English subtitles (weekly idol will also be on there if you can't find it on youtube). Their Knowing Brother episode was episode 87 and Lisa was super funny on it.
