You might be hearing the term 1.5 C in a lot of climate change news. But what’s behind the number?
In 2015, world leaders decided that they wanted to prevent global temperatures from rising 1.5 C higher than what average temperatures were from 1850 to 1990. With the help of her drawings, KN contributor Aubrie Chan explains why they chose 1.5 C as a benchmark.
