Id love to see the dwarves get little specific buffs like that Maybe the gunner has a faster default revive speed and the driller has some passive elemental resistance?
Please don't dial it back for the gunner and scout. These videos are excellent and being able to see more of the mission context and use of the gear across multiple situations is really useful. Rock and Stone.
Would be more impressive without all the mods and exploits. Brighter minerals makes it so he doesn't have to spend as many flares and time searching. Can just focus on bugs thus increasing survivability, reducing overall mission time and ammo spent wich are all huge deal on higher hazard. But of course people will say that's not an issue because balance don't matter in pve, then are gonna shit on weapon balance when there's a slight nerf they're not happy with because every OC should be top tier. Looks like he's having a stroke when depositing devs should fix that, I m fine with pickaxe cancel in general but this just looks stupid.
@@smoknocean2564 i sort of agree. All the minerals glow it takes the difficulty down alot, spends less time looking for minerals. I guess it is mostly QOL but I think it messes with the fact that youre in a deep dark cave without your scout, therefore it is way more difficult.
@@rocket8848 There's a perk for that if you care so much. Either fix the issue so the perk isn't useless or remove the perk entirely and make this regular time for deposit. There's a balance reason why depositing takes as long as it does, you're supposed to do it when the coast is clear not in middle of full blown swarms by exploiting a bug
@@smoknocean2564 All of the secondary objectives already have an intrinsic glow. You could make them just as visible by cranking the monitor's gamma up, and playing at night with no lights in the room - would you consider that an exploit as well?
This was very entertaining to watch! I learned some things watching you play: - Bosco can mine oil shale (idk why I never thought about this) - Throwing mines on Doretta - Platform on beamers to take them out fast - Using mines instead of drones - The life-saving use of the perk Dash - Connecting a pipeline to a well before calling down a pumpjack - Setting pipes on top of another for max efficiency - Using shard diffractor to cover all walls in a tight space Also, that was the fastest Bet-C take down I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing your legendary skills with us.
Getting the resupply kill reminded me of the first time I killed a dreadnaught on haz 4 with one. We were getting our asses whooped, reviving left and right, I had to use Iron Will to revive two and saved the game, and then I sacrificed myself distracting the dreadnaught and keeping on the LZ of the pod. I saw that pod fall into the big ass bug's skull and decimate it. That was the first time I did something legitimately cool and I'm still proud of it to this day. You can bet we all spammed salutes and laser pointed a chunk of condensed gold till mission control pissed their pants in anger. We only had one more dreadnaught to go and luckily it was the twins, they go down easy if you seperate damage equally.
Escort is probably the hardest mission to do solo, just because you have to switch defending on and off while collecting the oil stuff, also the ending is pretty team related aswell where usually someone kills the bugs and others shoot the rocks and beamers, however you probably don't need to backtrack for nitra because you get so much ammo for one supply compared to 4 people, and the things scaled down a whole lot.
@@Jakkaribik1 dreadnoughts really aren't long at all you can easily do 2-3 at a time. With hyper propellant grenade launcher, bosses phase pretty quickly
@@atedj0632If you have the right things sure it will get easy but if you somehow forgot to take something against bosses then you will fight a Long time with them
This guy is the reason why mission-control keeps shouting at me to stop being lazy and get the work done =( Just kidding - awesome video, fun to watch and I learned a few new tricks to become better =D
Man, your movement with engi is INSANE!! I've seen a people going crazy with scout but how you nailed the same maneuverability and agilty with engi is just unbelievable. Big respect to you, mighty greybeard! R&S⛏️
Give Betsy the chills instead, and watch her suckers disintegrate. Executioner Loki does pretty well on her even without that, but 5 second betsy kills are always achieved with some cryo fun.
I stopped playing a few years ago, but my goal was to get to where you are, 3 star (gold? bronze? I forget, but the base 3 star. Realizing now that you're probably above gold) with every class. I made it to 2 star before life pulled me away. It's fun seeing "what might have been" had I been able to reach that goal!
Just remember the road to excellence is more fun with friends. They can cover your weaknesses, and make the mountain between standard and this optimized climbable. Just remember to record some of your sessions, and re-watch them every once in a while to ask yourself "What could I have done better here?" Or "How could I have avoided this issue altogether?". It isn't easy, but you'll be on your way to a promotion of skill level to in no time. Rock and stone, miner!
This gameplay is incredible, but I couldn't help but notice you didn't slap the dice on the way out of the drop pod... I'm just joshing. Thanks for the upload!
I'm not quite at your level, but I've got about 800 hours in this game, most of which as engi. People really don't realize that engi's mobility is kind of insane. You're second only to scout, and even then you can sometimes go places scouts can't without killing themselves. Whenever scouts go down, I'm always the one that looks around the cave to the single stalactite they're mystically hanging from and think "...yea I can make this work"
It's cool to see that we have very similar movement as engineer but I tend to take slightly inconvenient parkour paths to get something a bit set with bug repellent but all this while taking completely different builds for missions cause I haven't run of these set ups once in hundreds of missions that I've done
**gaaasp** axis actually using the stubby? :O (Nah but seriously, i love these vids, please keep em comin 🥺) Axis our lord and savior deep rock god 😩🙏🏻
I see perfect platform placing, nobody except engi can explain 'bout climbing and fall damage canceling. Also this run is very lucky, dotty help you with fuel
- Eversince its buff, Turret Whip gives an invaluable ammount of utility and Miner Adjustments just doesn't compete. Tap firing is easy anyway. - Yes. You don't need 10 ammo on the shotgun, 8 is enough.
Here's to hoping for a perk overhaul. Engie getting faster build/repair speeds, gunner getting a little more ammo from resupplies, driller having a slightly faster pickaxe swing speed and scout getting faster base movement speed. Along with a better perk system/stronger perks.
@@ASpaceOstrich yeah, shoot the tips until they break. works with basically any weapon that carves terrain on impact. (autocannon is probably the toughest one to do it with due to inaccuracy)
7:20 I always hate the looking for fossil mission, how do you make your fossils glow? It is so much easier to find that way, especially when you don't have scout around
Seemed like he ran proximity fuse and the fire mod. I guess the other ones are optimized for range to get the most out of the fire and to deal with multiple targets. Only really works against mactera.
Kinda interesting seeing the builds Went for Cycle (presumably for fire rate and overall damage boost) over MPA (which reliably gives an INSANE damage boost for shooting weakpoints) and Compact over RJ250 (which i kinda don't get. Compact doesn't give reduce damage as much as RJ250 but RJ250 gives more ammo, shortens reload and doesn't reduce area radius). Could someone explain the reasoning here?
MPA is sluggish, use LOK if you want range. RJ is clown bait, people run it for 1000's of hours and still can't perform, Compact Rounds still makes breakpoints
@@AxisKronos I don't run mpa for range, but for damage. Easy to reliably oneshot grunts and does serious damage to big boys too I don't build for breakpoints though so that explains why I would prefer RJ over compact. It seems to work just fine but I don't have anywhere near the hours you would, so I'm probably just bad.
@@syrusalder7795 If you build it correctly, RJ250 is 100% better than compact rounds. And if you get surrounded, you can literally rocket yourself in the air then land on a platform killing most things underneath you. You lose nothing choosing rj over compact.
How does the spam deposit work? I've tried just spamming the interact button but it doesn't work. Would love to see a quick video on this (and a reply :p)
you spam deposit at a medium rate, and right click at a faster rate. You don't have to be super precise, just make sure you aren't hitting deposit so fast it doesn't drop the first big amount, and make sure you pickaxe cancelling is faster than the depositing
How do you keep up with the ammo consumption of the gemini sentries without the ammo mod for them? I’ve tried to go quick build with them but I always find that they have 0 ammo within 5 seconds. Especially when I’m on a full team and not solo so I can’t just hog the resupply.
From the looks of it, I'm guessing it's because they're using defender system to position the sentries in a way that their LoS won't overlap and spend ammo on the same targets
I main engineer on drg I main engineer on tf2 I main engineer on risk of rain 2 I main an engineer on warframe, or at least used to(vauban, though protea is interesting too ig) And im taking up industrial engineering I think I like engineers (And no I don’t main them because they are engineers, I actually just like the sentry part)
Engineers are so fragile. I like the class, but they are so unfermided compared to other classes. Long range attacks are limited, low health/armour, goes down easily, turrets are static. If you play driller you can burn a lot of glyphids really quickly, but with engineer you are stuck with the pew pew shotgun.
