Well, Polinators. Seeing as though THAT little warm up game is out the way, it’s time for us to take our front row seats for the real Superbowl: the Season 3 virtual event.
In this special Q&A episode, we’ll be stretching on the training grounds of Mayfair, fumbling around such important topics as waving executioners, epilogue births and blood libations to the promo gods.
Out on the field, the pre-game festivities are in full swing as the cheerleaders rejoice over the power couple of the moment, the names of everyone’s lips, the player and the songstress: Prudank.
And at some point, we probably mention that other couple, Polin. Heard of ‘em?
Dearest listeners, our moment is almost upon us. The countdown to match day has officially begun and to that we can only say: Bring it on, Frohn. Much like Pen on Colin's lap, we are seated.

I like your theory of personality and role reversal of Benedict and Anthony. It is very likely and even hinted in that line in season 2 “Please, you’re beginning to sound like me”. I’m so excited for who will be supportive of Polin’s relationship, surprised of it and every other reaction to them being a couple.

I want that line from the book so bad “you can destroy that paper but you can’t destroy me” and he says “I’d like to!” And he catches himself and says “I’d like to destroy lady whistle down” but the sexual innuendo is too good 🥵

the whole Prudank thing makes me wonder if this means a Featherington wrap-up. Portia wins, all of her daughters are happy, and there goes their storyline... and we don't get them anymore on s4 😢 (only Pen, of course)

It's definitely something we've been musing over. But this really is the last season with all the Featheringtons together, then at least we get to end it on a high of Portia victoriously having all three of her daughters married. And with love matches, no less! 🧡

I think portia is more important than people give her credit for, for moving the story along and entertainment. I don't think they'll get rid of them.

I was just wondering, listening to you, that maybe Cressidas family will pay a reward for finding Lady Whistledown, to stop her from writing about them? That could bring that family more into focus for the season and maybe give a nice introduction to season 4, if that's where Sophie comes into play.

If they go the Prudank route (yes please!) then they have no excuse to not make a drawing room scene and replace Felicity with Prudence. The comedic aspect could potentially be even better and the romantic/important plot point aspect of this scene would exist in the show. 🤞 I have been persuaded for a long time that Pen would have a face to face with the Queen where she refuses to become her puppet and the Queen either loves how daring she is or realizes she actually likes the challenge/entertainment. And your version where the Queen publicly announces "her identity is under my protection" would fit the character SO WELL. XD I will be disappointed if it's not as good as that. Same with épilogue ❤️ When the series is finally released, will you do episodes analysis/reactions/something?

We have everything crossed they can find a way to make the Featherington engagement announcement happen. Like you say, it's such a brilliantly comedic part of the book that would really suit the romcom tone of Season 3. A Queen/Pen showdown would be incredible to see. Golda and Nic would absolutely crush it. And if all goes truly wrong, I'm sure Colin will be on hand to win the Queen's favour with how deeply he loves Pen. So much to look forward to! @@WhataBarbPod It's true, I forgot that the Queen has a soft spot for true love so they could play that card to xin her over XD That reminds me that the Queen has played a decisive role for the main couple. I wonder if they will keep that trend in S3 and 4.

So in rewatching S2 for the millionth time, I just realized something and I hate to burst Lechi's happy bubble buuuuutt "This is the first chapter of a happy story" is a quote from Kate! She says it to Edwina around the 26 minute mark of 201 so I don't think we'll see it come back as a Polin quote. It's just a throwback to S2. (Also did I just go back through weeks of videos to comb through and find where Lechi was talking about this? I plead the fifth.)

For a better inspiration for a final shot of the season of Penelope writing, the 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion starring Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds ends with her writing on a ship after marrying the man she loves (and getting away from her exacting family) then stepping out to join him and enjoy the freedom on the journey.

I think portia is more important than people give her credit for. After that shakedown of the Young Lord Featherington she gained my respect. Like a regency Kris Jenner. She and Penelope have a lot in common (intelligence and cunning). I hope that mother/daugher relationship is addressed in season 3

I think if Eloise objects to Pen and Colin being together it would not be jealousy of either Pen or Colin but more of Eloise being disillusioned and feeling betrayed because she sees herself and Pen as like-minded liberal women who disdain the institution of marriage.

My theory is that Season 3 or 4 will be the last we see of the Featheringtons. This is because the new baby Lord Featherington ♂️ subplot needs to be addressed at some point (it was brought up at the end of Season 2). Also, I want to see the Featherington Baby Races 🏇🏇🏇/ all the Featherington sisters have children
