I just clicked on the video, saw the runtime, and went "oh hell yeah" out loud.

It hadnt occurred to me that Colin is the only one till now to have a friends-to-lovers and an enemies-to-lovers arc and with the same person, till you guys brought it up. 😳💓

Something interesting about that scene where Pen touches Colin's hair is that, hours ago Violet tried to do the same and he snapped. But in this one he was like... Yes! Touch me, touch me. 😂

And what I loved about their first kiss was not just how shook he was by the passion of it & the connection he felt.. but also in the way that she ran from him. She was ethereal.. & so heartbreakingly vulnerable & real with him.. that one got the sense that he knew in that moment just how special she was. She pierced his heart. I thought that scene was sublime. x

The great auk , the bird that debbling is trying to save was a penguin relative with a longer curved beak. And it did live up north near the arctic. But debbling didn't succeed, the great auk went extinct a few decades later. And now we have no more penguinish birds in the arctic.

With the brothel scenes.. I think they wanted to show the contrast of Colin, pre-Pen, and Colin, post-her kiss. The 2nd brothel scene, was just Colin trying to assuage his jealousy.. his pain.. and even then, he couldn't stomach it. His heart is with Pen. 😋LOOOVED the podcast as always, ladies! x

I know it's the Polin podcast, but I have to make a What a Fron comment... You guys saying that silence will be too much for Fran after John dies and that Michael will bring loudness back into her life is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Now I need it on the show.

I love how Pen's awkward attempt at flirting and even talking to the suitors at the Ball is somewhat echoed in the Willow tree scene. Except that this time it's both Pen and Colin being awkward 😄 It's so cute.

Anyone else clock that he says he has spent "so long, trying to feel less" and connect that to his behaviour even before the kiss? He says he's wanted to tell her all of this for weeks, but not that it has only been happening for weeks. I think part of his second trip was to get him away from everyone to clear his head because he was already having these thoughts and feelings about Penelope even then. I think he worried that maybe the guys and his brothers wrre right and his mess with Mrina was because he didn't screw around (and needed to). I bet he was afraid that his mind was substituting Penelope because she was the girl he knew rather than for her own sake and that he would do or say something he shouldn't because he was lonely and she was close and that it might ruin this important relationship and hurt her. He needed to "truly know himself before stepping back in" to her orbit. That way, he would know for sure if it was Penelope he wanted, or if truly anyone would do. It would explain why he went to the lengths he did to be sure a lack of experience wasn't the problem. Imagine if he went after Penelope only to figure out afterward that he had confused sex with love. He might ruin her and trash his best friend's life and his own in the process. No, a little bit of experience settled that question perfectly without hurting anyone. He was more satisfied by one kiss from Penelope than any other sexual encounter in the all those months away or the couple of interludes we saw this season. He even tried threesomes (and likely other things in Paris) to be absolutely certain he wasn't unmoved because of some kink. Nope, he's a one woman man and no one but Penelope can satisfy the needs he feels because he only really feels for her. I think his drinking is his tell. Every time the guy drinks, it's to dull those feelings for her and stop him from just grabbing her and ... well, you know.

At the first brothel scene when he says he's late, I don't think he was telling the truth.. cause when we cut to the market, he's waiting for Pen... I feel like that was just another hint at how much he's trying to pretend to be someone he's not... just me? Lol

My favorite scene is when they’re at the ball in episode two and Penelope is talking about how the person that she was talking to horse died and it’s just her and Colin end up laughing about it. I just think it’s so cute and just is very much the essence of their relationship.

Never in my wildest fantasy I thought Pen always sits on her drawing room window(S1&S2) because of Colin. That part gagged me so bad when Debling said that.

I think in the second brothel scene Colin wants to feel like he just has sort of an infatuation towards Pen and he can out-kiss her. But that is not true as he struggles to find the heart to kiss anyone but her.

Took a dive into that waist coat Colin wears in E1 after you said it held hints. Blue flowers represent 'peace, tranquility and serenity. They look like corn flowers and represent happiness. Red represents passion and yellow friendship. It you see a combination of yellow with red or orange tips that means you are moving from friendship into love. I think there is a red and blue bird... that is a love bird.

I called it about the carriage scene being the cliffhanger 😂. Also I find it weird how some people were saying they have no chemistry etc. Like I wonder if they were even paying attention and have their eyes opened that this has been happening since season 1. Nicola Coughlan even said they had to hold back on their chemistry until this season

I can't help imagining Colin running after the carriage and while he's running he's freeing his neck from the cravat 😂

Someone had the audio version playing in the part where Penelope is bandaging Colins hand and it says that he is the one that folds his fingers over her hand!!
