The last scene with Himmel turning his back with the cape is the same we see in his funeral. Only after this scene Frieren started crying realizing that they won't see each other again, so she won't be embarrassed . She remembered the "embarrassing line " on Himme's funeral. Such scenes is why I was over the moon when I realized Keiichirou Saitou is returning back as a DIR for 2nd season - those were not in the manga.

While waiting for season 2 (yay!), I recommend you guys also watch Bocchi the Rock! same director as Frieren (Keiichiro Saito), and a fun slice-of-life anime.

In the scene where the Hero’s party is helping a merchant carry supplies while waiting for a herd of sheep to pass, Eisen asked Frieren ‘Can’t you magic us to the other side?’ Frieren’s reply of ‘then I would be all alone on this side’ was because she couldn’t fly at that time. In episode 14, while Frieren, Fern, Stark, Sein and the merchant were being carried away by the giant bird, Frieren stated that flying magic has only been around for 40 years for humanity. Elves are considered part of humanity like dwarves vs monsters and demons. This is also why when Qual saw Frieren flying in Episode 3 he called it ‘interesting’.

There will be a season 2; I mean, this is easily anime of the year, not getting a second season would be criminal.

Regarding the spell gifted to Fern, think back to what happened the last time Fern and Stark’s clothes got stained.

gotta love the interviews man, that guy Land really went to meet the most powerful mage in history fully intent on trolling her, and he even lied straight to her face saying he brought his real self behind 🤣 aside the fact that he's probably 5thousand years too young, Serie kind of enjoyed that and she's gonna train Wirbel personally i think, when she heard "magic is a tool for killing" her smile was everything :D On a side note, Fern totally asked that spell because she was jelous that Frieren hugged Methode and said she smelled good 🤣

You two finally made it! I'm glad you gave this show time out of your schedule, you two were a delight to watch and I could feel how deeply it touched your hearts! Hi, @storieswithstyle is german speaking (videos are in english) and has great reaction videos about Frieren. He talks alot about the meanings of the names and also other concepts.

Across the exam arc, the development of Denken’s character is another masterpiece in storytelling. When you first meet him, he's the villain, a peak threat to Frieren's group. By the end of this episode, he's everybody's grandpa. All this and he *never* changes who he is, no reverse heel turn, no apologies, no break in his motives. The only thing that happens is that we learn more about him in the most gradual way possible. Of all the brilliant storytelling in this series so far, if I had to point to one proof of this, it is Denken.

Don't worry, season 2 has been approved and they are working on it.

Production decisions for season 2 have been announced. 🎉 The broadcast date is unknown, but it will probably be in a year or two. Also, the serialization of the original manga is doing well, so a third season may be produced.😊

Season 2 has been confirmed

Season 2 is already in production, confirmed about a week or two ago. I’m excited for a very specific character to make an appearance. His introduction will be…ahem….*golden*

There is a video from a German guy that goes over every German word and what they may mean - it's over 2 hours long 😅 But he is very interesting.

What I am scared and sad about, the thought of what if Frieren is the one will die and that's when she will be reunited with Himmel in Heaven.
