Wow what a beeeezy week 😂 couldn’t help it! Can’t wait to see how the bees do. I hope the festival was a great success! How amazing that your hard work grew the plants that provided the seeds that were shared during the festival and will be grown in other areas at other homes. I think that is an absolutely beautiful thing! Much love friends. I’ve prayed so much this week specifically for those impacted by the tornadoes. I’m just thankful that no lives were lost!
Love the way you rearranged your dome it looks great and more functional just love it and you guys got a lot of things done in this episode ❤sending prayers for those that lost their homes during the hurricane and thank god You guys weren’t affected until your next video stay strong and stay humble and thank god for watching over you 🙏❤️✌🏼
Moving right along. That's great 😊 Bees are so fascinating to watch. I'm going on 2 weeks now and wow I can spend hours just watching. The girls had their queen released in 2 days and boy they really mellowed out and got organized. Prayers for all that has been affected by these storms. Peace and Blessings!!
The dogs when you guys were rearranging just killed me! I laughed out loud and woke my husband. 😂 They we’re so concerned, like Mom what are you doing with our stuff!!
So impressed with your handling of the bees. The dome looks good you guys are just having things work out. Praying you food does well and things keep going well for you.
If you have deer in the area be aware they love to eat Elderberry as well as Thornless Black berries . Some kind of fencing will be required to prevent those cloven hoofed varmints from spoiling your hard work and dreams.
I just love how far you all have come on this journey. So glad you all are safe, rode out the tornado warning with a bunch of truckers at a truck stop in Sullivan, MO. It's crazy how Mother Nature can be so beautiful and kind, yet so destructive at the same time.
Hey, My favorite channel💋🐝🌱 The dome is so spacious!!!! Love they layout and I think I’d do the same flow seems very good use of the space! Having the bed elevated will be great in the winter with that wood stove… Bees 🐝!!!!!! I and so happy for you guys. Hooray for the ONLY homesteading/off grid channel that shows the reality of the process with each little step along the way that leads to a beautiful sustainable ‘big picture’ That helps the community so much and helps people to succeed when they do it themselves, because they won’t be shocked it’s not what they saw on these other channels who make everything look like an immediate dream.. So kudos for showing us all the hard work it takes just to be there! You guys have come so far this place looks amazing. Bees solar, dome, storage. garden, compost, vehicle … PASTA…and don’t think I forgot the outdoor showers you’ve built 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Can’t wait till you guys have some soul-fed honey! Congrats!
This comment really made us tear up.. Thank you so much for recognizing all the hard work that goes into this.. We always wanted to be real yet inspire, and sometimes, it's embarrassing to show the fails but it is the reality. Always happy to see your comments 😊 Your friends Sean & Jes
@@OffGridGrowing awe… 🥹 u guys are the best! Truly mean that… Oh and hey Jes, those seedlings look amazing too! I keep checking landstruck for eastern properties near sunbright 😆 We will be neighbors dangit! 😆
great episode guys, love all the progress youve made and are making. would def be interested in some sunflower and cantaloupe seeds lol glad everyone in town and on the mountain were safe. yall be safe and sane. we love you guys see you next week
CONGRATS ON 12K SUBS....AND ALL THE GREAT NEW THINGS, BEES, SOLAR, AND A CHANCE TO ORGANIZE THE DOME. IF YOU HAVE A FEW CANTELOUPE SEEDS I WOULD SURELY HAVE A LITTLE.... IM GONNA TRY TO PLANT A FEW THINGS THIS YEAR HERE IN IDAHO. ENJOY TIME WITH YUR MUM JESS... BE BLESSED. 👍👍🙏🙏🐝🐝
Thank God for no loss of life! But man, that is a lot of damage. Those big beautiful trees ... ugh. Wouldn't it be nice if someone could come in and mill up those trees for building material? That had to be some powerful winds. So sad. The seed packets are lovely. What a nice idea. I'd love to buy a packet of those sunflower seeds for my small, sunny backyard in the city. One grew in a plant pot I had on my back deck (3rd floor apartment) I cut the seed head off and hung it up for the birds; they loved it. I typically have a few tomato plants going on. Gotta have garden tomatoes and basil! The two front gardens are all about curb appeal with bulbs, flowers, and a few shrubs. The dome is coming along. The layout works. If you get that many tornadoes, maybe you want to think about building a shelter out of stone or cement. Have a stairwell inside to the left of the door. It doesn't have to be big. Maybe leave a blowup mattress down there for the nights when tornadoes are expected. And you could use it as a root cellar. Something to think about. I'm glad you got out of this unscathed. 🙏
You guys should be so very proud of yourselves. You have come such a long way. You have been tested and it hasn't been easy but you have never given up on your dream of off gride elf reliance. It is really nice to see it starting to pay off! Keep growing!
All looks great! Bees will be happy! The loft might be warm in summer for your bed but it will be great in winter! Do you all have any openable windows? Cross breezes are great in the heat of summer if you don't have ac!!!
What kind of bees Italian, Russian etc. I do t know a lot about bees but a friend of mine had around 800 hives. I'm stocked with honey. Sadly he passed away last year but left me with a lot of knowledge. Hope the trip to Camden went well. Not far but was busy around here today. Best of wishes. 😊 ❤
They are Italian and I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad your friend passed the knowledge to you and it will continue with you. I'm ready to have an endless supply of honey
I was building frames myself this weekend to complete my own hive. I got one of those Flow Hives, gonna give it a try as I'm used to the standard one like you have. Also, will be introducing a complete Hive Nuc this time instead of the delivered in a cage like you had, so that will be a new one for me. Nice to see you got your bees finally. I get my Nuc at the end of this month. Here's to plenty of honey.
Wow ! That done is fairly big , Hopefully insulated for next winter so you will be more comfortable :) Looks like your bedding plants are doing well " Yes Tennessee Is in that Tornado ally with all that heat, We only get a small one every 15 years & not to close to me , Don't like to see peoples lives turned upside down like that !
I wonder if you bought that cheep plumbing pipe insulation and slipped it on your bottom rod on the dome, and caulked that..if it would keep the water out.??
hey guys , love the dome layout, good to see the solar tracker progressing and the bees were no hassle to do , nice to see you have a few thousand new pets , lol. every time i see you guys now your smile is getting bigger, it shows that you are growing and learning and closer and closer to success and happiness. its sad to see your township hit hard by the tornado, i always wonder why people build homes tornados can knock over . they should build out of hempcrete its a much stronger building product, and is probably the only building product capable of withstanding a tornado. but we live and learn. hempcrete is finally being discussed in my state in Australia as a building method/product for fire shelters and maybe even entering the building code for those who live in fire prone areas because hempcrete doesnt burn. it may still take a couple of years to implement but its way over due. so happy for you guys sending all my love and hugs David from Perth Western Australia
I just learned a lot about hempcrete this weekend and I think it's on the table for a potential way for us to build our new house.. Luckily we have no building codes in this county
@@OffGridGrowing i discovered it about 10 years ago but now its a topic that is accepted in Australia and its only a year or two from becoming mainstream as its now allowed as long as engineer says its structurally sound there is no other road blocks here, and there are many different ways to use it. you can go for the spray on which is great for abnormal shapes in your building or round domes , or the building blocks that resemble lego the size of large limestone blocks but you can pick them up with one hand. and build the main structure in under a day ready for roofing which is an American company which is the first to do that , or you can press it like rammed earth all very strong all virtually all weatherproof. and if its completely round its tornado proof for there is nothing for the wind to grab. its amazing stuff its what i want my house build with and like your dome there is no need for weight bearing internal walls so it has endless possibilities . just be warned its a deep rabbit hole of goodness once you start researching the options , just remember the hemp is very cheep its the labor that costs keep that in mind . take care brother say hi to Jes David from Perth western australia
