wow. Every bit as beautiful as Coleman Hawkins recording of this song in the 30s, where Django played rhythm. In fact I hear a couple of passages from that recording. This is so beautiful, Fapy Lafertin plays so lyrically.

Hello mate, I think there were some incomplete takes but only two that made it to the end. This one is the album version originally released in 1996. When we re-released as a double CD the other take was included. This version... Fapy at his most beautiful.. in my opinion

If you listen to the very last note it sounds like an A. But his hand is in G chord position... I wonder how his guitar is tuned. Perfectly beautiful music!

@@davekelbie you made my day!!! That has been driving me nuts! When I first started listening to this type of music I couldn't even hear the changes and play along at all. This song and trying to play with it has helped me a lot, I can actually hear the chord changes now. That last chord was driving me nuts. Thanks again!!
