What a F***ING TWIST in Reign of the Seven Spellblades Episode 6 🤯

I feel like in any other series Katie would do a 180 turn and become edgy.

I can't get over the look in Oliver's eyes when he tortured the teacher. I thought the animators did a good job of showing the malice that he kept hidden from everyone. The dude is out to take down most of the faculty responsible for his mom's death. In his eyes, if the school burns in the process, then so be it. I'm invested now as this is one of my top shows this season. We have a full on revenge story now and can't wait for next week. I want more of this.

That fight was intense and Nanao managed to move quick enough to split time and space and she managed to make her own spellblade, how powerful is our little battlenut. And Olivers running a group to basically burn the school and a large chunk of the staff down, I’m in with that idea, though I am glad Michela’s dad isn’t on the list as that would be awkward.

Episode 1: "Oh, this is like Harry Potter with swords, this will be fun." Every episode after that: "WHY IS THERE SO MUCH BLOOD?!?!" Seriously, I did not expect this to become so dark. At the same time, the swordplay and the way they depict the spell blades to work is just peak fantasy, I love love love it. I feel like we'll be seeing what "consumed by the spell" will mean, when Oliver uses his spellblade again. Because holy hell, he can't get away with that much foreshadowing.

Holy expletive after expletive... after that episode I now completely understand why Oliver had no interest in dueling Nanao - he wasn't just trying to protect her from walking down a dark path she can't return from; he was protecting her from walking down a path she can't return from that he's specifically walking down himself - and for all the right reasons in the world. I already loved this series, but wow...

After getting Nanao's backstory previously, we finally get to see what drives Oliver. The trauma from his mother's death and torture must have shaped who Oliver is. That must be part of why he was so moved by Katie's kindness and was so insistent on protecting that kindness. Everyone should take a look at the ending song lyrics. It makes so much sense now that I've watched this episode. The twist on the 2nd half aside, the 2 spellblades introduced this episode was portrayed really beautifully. The stylistic visual and sound effects are really used to bring out the epicness if the sure-kill moves. It's also great to see Oliver fighting creatively and Nanao just nonchalantly creating new techniques on the spot without even realizing it. Those two make a great duo.

We're finally out of the prologue, LN volume 1 complete. Now the real meat and bones of the story can begin, I'm so damn excited to see what they do with the rest!

Now this is refreshing to me to be honest here. After watching this episode it made me realize, how I've mentioned before about how unusual it is to have a highly reputable school, possess such a high graduation rate, as well as, a incredibly high death/dropout rate. What's even worse is that, in order to survive such a school, its more than just who you know, its also, how much you know and, how far are you willing to go before you realize that, there is absolutely nobody to trust with your precious life, unless you are willing to stake your own life to not only sheer faith, hope, and luck, but also with god overlooking your shoulder, and the devil himself watching your backside. After learning about how disgustingly corrupt and warped this school truly is on the inside, your forced to realize that since the start of the school's opening ceremony, everyone's life is already numbered. Even all of the teachers, assistants, attendances, faculty members, and the faculty heads, which also includes the principle herself, are all being treated as both predator and prey. We also learn that our own protagonist is on an official hunt/revenge tour, to seek out everyone that mercilessly tortured and killed his mother. In my humble opinion, I don't blame him at all. In fact, I would not be surprised if the school itself were to fall, because of all of the treachery and deceit it built up over the year since that cold blooded death. Happy that the first teacher to fall is the alchemy teacher. He was disgusting in method to steal other peoples research and documentations, and calling it his own once its done. Him being tortured and eventually killed at the end, was karmic payback for what he did in the past. Now I'm really looking forward to see whom the next target that is on his hitlist, is going to be, and what method is he going to use before destroying his mother's murderer. I'm really looking forward to what is going to happen next. Metaphorically speaking, let us partake in watching "Hogwarts" collapse and burn. MUWAHAHAHA!!! Until then, Enjoy!! P.S. Seven Spellblades was already a certified banger for me, and now it wants to drop the reveal of Oliver’s revenge plot where all the insane teachers are on the hit list? Ok, the next half is going to be quite the ride.

I know everyone is talking about that 2nd half of the episode and that Oliver twist(lol) but I really feel the need to fucking praise Katie in this episode! She woke up from that incident and choose to actively fight! First by giving Oliver & Nanao their victory kiss and then going on to just dont give a fuck what others say or do and just openly fights any shit that comes her way! I hoped her character would go that way, having her just be damsel in distress would be pretty plain and boring, and I'm so happy that it turned out the way it did!

the fact that this anime has less than a 7 on my anime list is insane

This episode was so fun to watch, from the 7th spellblade being introduced, to homegirl's resolve to stay true to herself, to the revenge plot being laid out. The latter point was great for me, because it retroactively fixed some minor plot issues I had a few episodes ago, where Mr Andrews caused so much chaos and was basically forgiven with not much fuss. It makes sense that the mc is so focused on this monumental task, that he doesn't have time to make new enemies and hold new grudges, especially since nobody he cared about died in the colluseum incident. Also, the end where he puts on the mask kinda reminded me of Cid and Shadow Garden, except he's being serious about it.😅 Edit: I swear I wrote this before watching the video (regarding my Cid reference 😂)

Major porops to the studio J.C Staff be really cooking these fights. and cooking damm.. well . It is slowly climbing up the rankings to become my favourite anime among those whose first season released this summer. Nanao be wilding and waning for that victory kiss. But at last our girl Katie took the plunge she really is best girl.

"In the year 1525 of the Great Calendar, on the 8th day of the 4th month...where were you and what were you doing?" With one question, the series is forever changed. Im really happy that this adaptation kept the hook of the series where it was supposed to be, unlike Alderamin which had it be the stinger at the end of the show to get you to buy the light novels, because it gives me hope this will have a continuation unlike Alderamin. This episode is easily the best episode so far, as a) it shows off the 4th and 7th spellblades, as well as Oliver's true self and b) is the first episode to really capture the intensity of the series i felt when reading the novels. I was a bit worried after the first 3 episodes as things were really uneven and rushing through important sections of the novel, but after the last 3 episodes, it seems the production has found its footing and we are going to have a great adaptation on our hands. I dont think that this season will get to the next hunt, but there is more to the story than just the hunt, so we have plenty to look forward to!

I heard about there being a twist and now I see it. It took time to get there but now it’s here. They must have thought Oliver’s mom was too strong. Oliver’s spellblade is strong but he can’t entirely handle it since he can only use it one more time after using it twice. I think one of them is actually his cousin or cousin sister rather. I do think Oliver doesn’t like seeing Nanao who may remind him of her. I wonder if Oliver wants to only kill the professors. The fight and magic choreography is great. If I were to get a quarter for a show with swords that break space and time this season, it would be twice which is more than I expected

Bro I am loving the spell casting and how it all work in this series. The fact that he was only able to torture this man that much because he went through it while being in his mother's womb. So it made it possible for him to be able to do the same to others cause that's the only way the spell works. You literally have to experience such pain to be able to inflict it on others

Novel reader weren't lying, this episode was hype ! Thatt torture scene, that face he was giving until the reveal that her mother was killed by every teacher of the school made me tear up, holy moly. The man is on a mission with his own f*kin cult We thought the school would be the threat but Oliver is the real threat. We thought this was a typical magic school discovery manga but this is just a damn crusade. The story also reminds me of Ubel Blatt crossed with eminence in shadows, I'm hype ! Also seems like Katie is the only light in this show full of darkness 😂

OMG this episode was so crazy it’s my favorite episode of this show and probably even for this season as a whole. Because of the action and the direction they took it. Like seriously that is the action scene we have seen this season. As it looked so smooth and interesting. Like how the spells does work, in how they use them in creative ways. Or how Nanao did use her sword to divert a spell away from her which looked do crisped. As did when she did unlock the seventh spellblades. Which allowed her to ignore the speed and distance of her target. That was so awesome to see. I was also surprised to see Katie response to this whole situation. As she seemed much more happy then I thought she would be. But the biggest thing about this episode. Was when we did find out the truth about Olivier and how he did slain one of the teachers. As I really loved how they did that ability for the fourth spellblade. Because of how it did allow you to predict and see the future and see the outcome where you survives. Then also how psycho he did go on the teacher by torturing him again and again. To feel the same pain that his mother did. Until he did begged to die as he could not take it anymore. We then see him become a cult leader who are going on a revenge hunt against the academy teachers and their headmaster. Which surely will bring about more chaos then anyone can handle. The only bad thing about this episode is how that teacher will no longer be able to fix the stupidity of humanity

Oliver's crusade to off the faculty of Kimberly -Psycho- Magic Academy reminds me of the iconic chapter from the Sin City graphic novel "The Hard Goodbye": where the villain has done so much evil, that it was just a matter of time and the arrival of someone capable who does not care about the consequence to be resolved. Edmund Dantes/V from "V for Vendetta" style. It feels like that, with the added dilemma of Oliver encountering friends who will try to steer him from the inevitable fate of those type of avengers when his crusade eventually comes to light. What makes me invested in this story, aside of the stellar worldbuilding, is how and why his friends would find out about his crusade, how would they react to it, and if they would succeed in giving him a reason to treasure his life (hint, Katie and Nanao may help him with that). And of course, if some of his friends would survive the whole issue. Either way, I want to see how he tackles the task of fighting against the faculty, regardless of how much they deserve it. Who knows, maybe he would find out something about his mother that he may not want to know, and his cult-like supporters may also have their own agenda he just so happens to be convenient for. Because, as we've seen so far, nothing is what it seems in that school, and intrigue and betrayal are par for the course and Kimberly. One hell of an Episode 6 indeed. Great season, this one. Packed to the brim with good series. PD: Katie nailed the "best human being" prize today. She even managed to shake a bit of Oliver's heart. Katie FTW.

I was surprised, didn't expect the story to go that way but I love it I was sure that our mc was hiding something, first because he was followed by the girl with the hood, and because he didn't stand out as much as others anime mc, like he was doing great but not too much, something was off I wonder how the next episodes will be, now that a teacher is gone, it will be a huge concern for the school. I think Nanao will see changes in Oliver's attitude or something, as she already killed, now that Oliver killed, she might sense something about him or things like that and I wonder how she'll react to his goal as well as the others in the group

Oh my, this episode was a wild ride! This took me by suprise. The so glamorous and good boy Oliver has a hard history and joined this school to seek revenge for his mothers torture and death, probably. This was a intense fight.

This episode put it in contention for my anime of the year. I love the twist, the MC is an egoist, and art style n choreography are really unique.

This episode just sold me on reading the light novel because I was out of my seat towards the end. I was enjoying this anime but wasn’t super hyped about it but that changed today. I love me some revenge story’s. But yeah the look in his eyes as he was torturing him , ahh gosh so good. Complete 180 and I’m hooked now

I was kind of on the fence with this show but this episode solidified it as a banger for me. I just wish they had dropped more hints earlier on about how dark Oliver’s story really is. Until this episode I really had no idea where the plot was going but I’m enjoying it now.

Just who was his mother? Seven great mages came together to kill her. (And seemingly only succeeded because one of them stabbed her in the back.) And she/her son has a cult-like following trying to avenge her? I mean, the teachers are absolute A-holes, but are we sure she wasn´t the baddie? Obviously don´t answer this if you know from the LN.

As a reader of the light novel, im satisfied with episode 6...1 volume is over but there is so much more to come.

That was an awesome episode and for whatever reason when he and the teacher were fighting I had the Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey feel of when they were fighting De Nomolos and setting up all the gotchas. It'll be interesting to see how this series will continue and whether or not it will get more seasons since I am sure that he will not be able to get the other involved teachers in one season.

OMG! This show just got WAY!.. more interesting. I do think in the end there is gonna be a major shocking twist I believe probably after he kills majority of them and I believe it could be one of his own family members set that up or Nanao past could have something to do with it as well. Just speculation but possible. Either this show just got me extremely excited.

Expected that teacher to die, especially after the info we gotten last episode, though didn't expect it to happen so soon. Also the other targets of Oliver were quite coming out of left field. Oliver having a spellblade though was a given on how they portrait him with already being pretty advanced in magic for a first year. So now I wonder will the others in the group learn about the revenge route he is taking, and how they would react to that. As well as we do now have 2 spellblades in the group would the others also gain one? Guessing blondie (forgot her name) already has one as well. Then on the other side the revenge route wouldn't go unnoticed either once a couple more of the teachers would vanish. So also curious on how they will react to this.

I have to admit. I was hovering on dropping the series. In fact, I had fallen behind on episodes. The only reason I continued with the show is because I was bored while waiting for my laundry to finish. I'm glad that I managed to make it to the 6th episode, because it has finally gotten interesting.

I was starting to doubt it at the start but it's gotten so much better ever since. Ep 6 was freaking nuts.

That was the most SAVAGE and CRAZY episode than I've seen of Reign of the Seven Spellblades 😨😱 Nanao being able to cute through Time and Space was already insane. But learning than Oliver's True Goal is hunt down at least 5 of the teachers and the Director of Kimberly was even more shocking 😤 I think Nanao will probably the 1st one to notice Oliver's hidden side and his true intentions later 🤔 Will he be able to achieve his Revenge or Nanao will be able to make him change his mind about it? That's why I am the most curious about for the moment!

I'll catch up with this show very soon now that I'm back from vacation... So, please wait for me... 🫡

I'm back with my dumb shit! ;-) This was a very good episode and then the pacing got me whiplash. Apparently *someone* really wants to adapt the whole story in one season. I like the show, wouldn't call it incredible but it's good and enjoyable. Bonus points for slicing through space time, that was something.
