Hi, greetings from Indonesia. I'm a medical doctor and an aspiring interventional radiologist. Just wanted you to know that your videos are really helpful and that I hope you continue to make them. You and other radiologist RU-vidrs (e.g. Dr. Cellini, Dr. Sarel Gaur, and Dr. Christopher Nicholas) are huge inspirations for people like me. You're doing a great job. Thank you!
Just stumbled upon your channel (bless the RU-vid algorithm). Loved this video! As a medical physicist it's really insightful to hear about the professional life/role of clinicians, often we don't get that perspective from in hospital collaboration alone. Can't wait to watch the rest of the videos on your channel, they really motivate me to study for the GAMSAT :))
I am 13 years old and I often get asked what I want to be in the future (which is a question I don't really have an answer to at the moment because I don't think I should be making such decisions and doing things/studying so I could "get me to the particular job" then end up changing my mind when I am older, anywaysss) and this question is making actually wonder what I aspire to be so I am researching about high paid jobs that I would love to do and I have come across this video. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS, I might actually consider when I am older. :)
Thank you for making the video, Dr.Gupta. Can you talk a little bit about what is the difference between working at an academic center or private practice as a radiologist?
Thank you for your videos on radiology🙌🏽 Do you have a resource you refer to when learning about the practices and workflow in interventional radiology? I am working on a few research papers around AI/DL being used in interventional radiology. Currently, I don’t see enough Deep Learning papers also discussing how DL would be used in the radiologist workflow. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊
Will it be okay to go ahead for radiology in future? I mean yet to go for it but im thinking about but i have heard many things thats there no future in usa. Will u please guide me
Well, they are talking about AI but radiology is also diversified, you can also do interventional radiology... From that surgery or vascular surgery is not that far... So if radiology gets completely replaced ( which I doubt) we can just swap to another field 🙂
Mam I have a small doubt.I just want to know about an x rays.Does all the humans are exposed to an x ray which is in environment. Was the medical x ray and natural x ray are same.
Radiographers (or sonographers if it's ultrasound) are the people that will be taking you into the room with the machine for your scan. They're also called X-ray technicians, but everyone in the radiology/imaging department is working constantly to keep you safe. If you have concerns about radiation, speak to anyone on the day and they'll be able to explain your procedure (the risks/benefits) or will bring you to someone who can!
We do, we are always shielded when we are going to be exposed and the levels are so low that it does not affect fertility. There are many women radiologists of reproductive age without issues 💓
We can, but we don't normally prescribe any medication... everything we need on the ward will get through the pharmacy. That's the only prescription I ever signed...
Just depends! In interventional radiology, definitely yes. In other parts of radiology, the procedures are smaller and not much blood. In purely diagnostic radiology- no.
@@YashaGuptaMD so sorry one more question. Does the process through medical school have to deal with blood? I’m sorry I’m a senior in high school and I’m trying to figure out what to do
