I expected it to be busier as well. We are so blessed to have express this year. Can't ever go without it now, otherwise it'd be a drinking in the scarezone night.
Im going to HHN for the first time next week (been a lifelong dream) and y’all’s content has made me even more pumped and excited. I always love finding fun and exciting new content creators and your energy and happiness is admirable. My girlfriend and I love you’re content!
As someone who never buys Express Pass, I've come to the realization that not all queue lines are equal. 3 things will influence how a line goes for you, the wait time,(obviously) how fast the line is going, and whether or not there is line entertainment like music or a video screen playing old HHN footage. I find that as long as there is plenty of distraction, I can breeze through a line no problem. But if the line crawls at a snails pace, or has no music or stuff to listen to, it feels like torture. The Bug house line has been pretty bad about the line moving as slowly as possible.
Oh my gosh, YES! I got stuck in the bug house express line for over 45 minutes one night and it was torture. The standing still really makes my back hurt, too. It's torture! lol
@@ThePughTwo Yeah! I dunno why specifically the Bug House is having so much trouble with their line this year. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the effects, or if the house can't handle the capacity of people, or what the problem is. I've been to that one three times on three different days and it's the same problem, consistently. The line just doesn't move. It never looks very long, but it just crawls along slower than... than the bugs inside of it. 😁 The house itself is amazing, but that line is a nightmare. I don't remember that location's past houses (Wicked Growth, Depths of Fear, and Slaughter Sinema) having such a problem. Maybe it's just... buggy.
Great video showing the crowd levels during a sold-out night! Definitely helps for planning purposes and whether or not express pass is worth it! Thanks!
Saw you guys at antojitos on sept 24. ( walked past your table on our way out)I was going to say hi but you guys were with another group so I didn’t want to interrupt. So, I’ll officially say hi! Lol. Love your videos!
So glad my favorite universal tubers made it through the hurricane safely, you guys have been instrumental to preparing for our universal honeymoon in July of next year
Haha, thank you! We actually escaped to California and visited some of the parks out there. We hope you and your fiance have an amazing time on your trip!
Thank you, Sebastian!! We have a Sony a7iv and we were using the 24 1.4 GM lens. It does a LOT better in the low light than the lens we normally shoot on!
@@ThePughTwo I also dance when food is involved. Fuina used to tease me about it. But honestly, I'm just so happy to have food, I have to do my happy dance!
So bummed out I never got to meet the both of you in person. Just got back from an amazing (and windy) two weeks. First time in the country and rode through the hurricane. Also done the HHN RIP tour. Would recommend that to anyone. Well worth every single penny. Once again hope you are both well. That's an experience I will never forget in a hurry! ♥️
Oh no, we're sorry we missed you! We've actually been out of town, too. We went to California to visit some of the parks down there! It sounds like you still managed to have a great time, though! The RIP tour is amazing!!
So glad for a new video! I was hoping you two and your pups were safe. 🥳🥰For future videos, could you tell us the date you are filming? Thanks for another Great Video!
I was planning on going this Sunday (The 9th) but recently switched it to Tuesday since they added it due to hurricane Ian. I have express and I want to get all houses and scare zones done. Do you think I can get them all done and how crowded do you think it will be?
*my friend and I went to HHN Hollywood at the end of September on a sold out night. we both purchased the fast pass tickets. we did ALL 10 haunted houses and all of the big rides in the matter of it opening from 7 PM - 2 AM. WORTH THE MONEY if you’re wanting to do everything!!*
We're so glad it's back on for you! We were lucky enough to be out of town when the hurricane hit, but we know it's affected many people. Thanks for watching; we hope you enjoyed it!
Looking at those wait times, I’m glad you both convinced us to get express. We watched the two Blumhouse films recently and really enjoyed them but 100 minutes??
We couldn't believe it was that long either! It's not a bad house by any means, but it's definitely not our favorite this year, either. We've seen it over 100 minutes since then, too!
i finally made it to orlando after 25 years! i loved every minute of it. i wanna thank you guys for all the videos you done. it helped me big time!! i saved a fortune! i planned and execute. the VIP is the way to go!! from now on when i go back. hopefully not in 25 years. but in 2025! ill be doing vip probably two or three times! its worth it! i did HHN. started at the back with the weekend (worst house ever) did 4 houses from 6pm to 7pm and 2 houses from 8 to 12! both those houses had a 180 min wait but it actually was longer! (not worth the wait esp when your feet are being murdered from all the walking and queuing!! had a blast all the same. will i do it again? yes. but it would not be a priority as i feel its just universal forcing this on you for them to make more money. they should just have a limited capacity with queues no more than 25 mins! finally! food and drinks are WAAAAAY over priced! like crazy! they gotta come down a bit. we just drank the free water from the stations. it was soooo refreshing and hydrating than drinking all the softdrinks all day!! thanks guys, ill shall continue to follow you. ps. i learned a new tip for you that you havent mentioned ??? PPS the hard rock secret john lennon tour at the hard rock cafe?? done it! ITs Amazing!
The wife and I will be there on the 23rd for HHN hopefully it wont look like this lol, But we planned ahead we're staying at a resort on site and we got the express pass for HHN. We're really looking forward to this event. We're also doing both parks sunday to tuesday.
What night was this filmed? We were just there last week and I THOUGHT I’d seen y’all there but wasn’t super sure it was you guys, so just trying to match up my speculation lol
we were there that night, and they are completely right. If you want to do all the 10 houses, you NEED express pass. I'm a top tier passholder and we only had that night to enjoy HNN, we were there since 430pm in the early access, we drank, ate and waited for around 1 and a half and we made it to "The Weenknd" at 5:55 pm, then hoped to "Legends Collide" within 5 minutes of sand by wait time. We did not use our Express Passes for those 2 houses since wait times were so low. By the end of the night we were so TiRED but all 10 houses done! then I saw this 2 and I got super excited!!!! sadly they don't walk.. then run lol. I couldn't get to them since my poor legs were done for the day...😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂 Oh no! We're sorry we were walking too fast! You're not the first person to tell us that lol. We're so glad you got all 10 houses in and had a great night, though. We know what that exhaustion feels like, for sure!
They usually announce on their socials when it's a sold-out night! A lot of the country is on fall break right now, though, so we usually see an increase in crowds right about now!
I went to HHN at USH on 10/7 and we paid for express - worth the price! The wait times for the regular lines were 140+ minutes. The longest we waited in the Express line was for Halloween and it was about 10-15 minutes. We did all the houses, Transformers and Forbidden Journey. I was not impressed by most of the houses. I think they needed scarier properties for the houses and was underwhelmed with the Weeknd house. My favorites were probably La Llorona, Scarecrow and Legends Collide. Anyone else feel like they have toned down the scariness? last time I went was in 2013 and they had the best properties - Evil Dead, Insidious, AHS and Stranger Things. My sister and I think they should do scary/creepy games - Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Bioshock, etc.
Express is definitely a time saver! And lots of people that have been going to HHN for that long says the same thing. They've toned down the scare-factor a little bit to make the event more appealing to more people!
It's amazing how Universal has managed to combine ALL of the foods I can't have in different ways 😆 The pizza fries did look really good though... I always look at the scare actors and think how tired they must be by 2am...
Haha they have different shifts of scareactors! They switch them out every once in a while both in the houses and in the scarezones. I don't think it would be legal to make them all work for that long without a break! 😂
If I ever get to HHN it won’t matter how large the crowd is. I’m going to dive in because I’ll probably never get the chance again. And I’ll be on the lookout for those pizza fries 😊
I went last night and the lines were scarier than the houses. It was 12:30 AM and the Blumhouse line went UP from 60 to 80 minutes. I was just like, can't do it. My feet were killing me. I got express for tonight lol.
They announce on their social medias when it's so out, and I *think* the only sold out nights this year have been opening weekend and the night we filmed this!
I saw these same exact times for 5 straight nights from September 21-25. It was apparently never “sold out”. These express lines for Chupacabra, Halloween, Coven were all entirely too long. Dead man’s was never that bad of a wait. That was house in the back that had Monsters this year has GOT TO CHANGE. The merge is ridiculous, Always has been. Drink and food lines routinely 20 minutes. It’s just gotten almost too crowded.
@@ThePughTwo likewise until today, it obviously doesn't have the budget of universal or SeaWorld but looks like something fun and local. Look forward to the content if y'all make it out there ☺️
Just leaving universal now without even going to hhn, even though we paid for tix. We went last night and was not impressed at all. Lines were as bad as Hagrid, and after spending all day in the park, the last thing we wanted was to spend more time in lines. Crowds are even worse than normal park times. And the fact they don't even give a discount if you've paid full price for a park ticket for the day is wrong. Then you're express passes don't count either is also wrong, and again, no discount. We'll never come for hhn again. Oh yeah, and those that had express passes were let in at a ratio of at least. 50 of them, to maybe 10 of us in the "regular" line. Never again!
We went a few years back absolutely hated it complete waste of money. They should run it in on one side of the park and leave the other half open for people who have no interest in HHN.
Could you do a video on best strategies for houses at HHN? What I mean is how to plan what order to do houses. Like is it better to start with the houses in the back of the park for shortest line? I don't know maybe there isn't a good strategy since every year they have different houses. And you might not know which ones are more popular. And I mean strategies for those that don't get express pass.
We did a video where we raced each other to see if starting in the front or the back was faster! We used express, but the basic strategy should be the same!
@@ThePughTwo Yes that was a great video! I just know when I plan a day at Disney World the best ride to hit first is the most popular early in the morning because they get much longer lines later on. Rides like Flight of Passage, Seven Dwarfs etc. I don't know if it's possible to apply the same strategy based on popularity. You know, houses that have the most consistent long lines.
Bruh I went to a sold out night but we were at the day time in the park. The actors were vibing crazy like they were dances with kids that were having fun! Lines were crazy but they had scare actors talk to people. Got 3 houses before lines got to an 1hour. We had no clue with we saw big yt there which was cool.
This was filmed beforehand! We were in California during Ian and had some videos recorded for that time. We decided to hold onto them and not post anything while the entire state was in a state of emergency. We're not sure if Ghoulish will return or not!
There are a few houses it seems like they don't do the express ratio correct. it's happened for a few years. Where there is always like 2 or 3 houses where the person letting people in is doing more of a 50-50 than a 70-30. I went the 2nd week (which actually i did see you guys and said hi!) and the longest i had waited in express was about a solid 15. other than that each was about 5-8 mins
That definitely happens sometimes! We had a few issues earlier in the event where the express lines were almost as long as the standard line. They figured it out, though! lol
We saw the queues as we were leaving the parks a couple of weeks ago and they were insane ,,,so we gave HHN a miss ,which I kinda half regret maybe next time ,,also the weather was bad a few of the nights ,can people defer there tickets due to bad weather.😊
So I know if you call in advance you can change your dates, but I’m not sure if they’d let you do that day-of just because of bad weather. That’s a good question!
@@ThePughTwo I spoke to a lad who went when the weather was bad one night and he said it was very quiet and walked on most things ,so maybe people just didn’t turn up 🤨
@@liebchen1983 when I was there the rain and wind was horrible at night sometimes ,it can’t of been nice ,but hey that’s Orlando weather ,still warm though just wet through
Hopefully it’s not super packed bc I might go wit my cousin and his friends on a Thursday or wit my aunt on a Saturday so hopefully it’s not super packed early so I can go in all the mazes
@The Pugh Two why can't you say fruity pebbles but you can say fruit loops? But I can't wait I be there on the 26 of this month hope to run into you two
It was just a joke about how companies like Universal never say any brand names! lol we hope you have a great time on your upcoming trip! We should be around, so keep an eye out for us!
If you don’t have express your wasting your time every year and money, value your time over money, me and my 3 other friends went last Thursday we started @ 630 got on all the rides and did all the mazes and ate and left by 11ish on a sold out night (universal Hollywood) I went to Orlando about 3 weeks prior express s was so bad there it didn’t even feel like express we waited a good amount for a lot of mazes at Orlando, at Hollywood I waited no longer then 5 min or less
Hi you two. I'm in Orlando till 20th from UK. I absolutely love you two so much and would love to meet you. Please let me spend an hr with u at universal. Ps. I'm here today. 11th
