What a Song! Reaction to LoveBites "Edge of the World" Live 

It's not JUST talent. It's hours and hours and hours of practice. As they say in golf, you need to practice 10,000 hours before you get good. She's practiced music since she was 3. They are at the top of their field.

In the actual live performance, this song is followed by "We the united," which is also very moving! When I heard "We the United" live right after "Edge of the World," I was moved to tears because of the wonderful lyrics and heart-breaking feeling.

That's why LOVEBITES is one of the best in the world. Phenomenal stuff. Please share the love and tell all your friends about Lovebites.

Great reaction. It's commonplace for reactors to say this is my favorite song. After 40+ years of listening to rock and metal, this is the first band I can say they don't have any "filler" songs.

I was undecided at first, and my mouse was hovering over the pause thingy.... then came that looooooooooong note, and I waited to see how long she could hold it. Impressed, I decided to see what was to come... then the instruments came in and the whole tone of the song changed... and I stayed to the end. Very accomplished performance from all involved!

That is how you do an intro! Sublime piano and guitar with Asami's crystal clear vocals over the top....and then that loooooooong note from Asami to push into the song. EPIC! And then the epicness continues for the whole song. Perfection.

Asami, the vocalist began her singing career singing gospel, soul and R&B. She spent time in Los Angeles after her high schooling in Japan. She also studied ballet, hence the dance during "Frozen Serenade". Miyako is the only musician I can think of who is world-class on both the piano and the guitar, two instruments that are notoriously difficult to become very good at. All I can say is, Miyako is what happens when you practice 40 hours per day. Mrs Coach has a full blown case of "Lovebitis", and she has not yet reacted to "Swan Song" or "Empty Daydream", etc., etc. The only cure for "Lovebitis" is to recognize that you can simultaneously have more than one favorite Lovebites song.

Asami, the vocalist, puts everything into every song: look at her face, her eyes while she sings!!! She said in an interview that she always sings as if it’s the last time she ever will. Before joining Lovebites in 2016, becoming a metal-singer, she was previously an RnB and Jazz singer (she has had vocal coaching), and she is also a trained (for a decade or so) ballet dancer, hence her fluid arm movements etc. Her nickname is: The One & Only Voice Asami is just 5'0" tall, but her presence on stage is absolutely noticeable: during the live shows she commands the crowd, even without saying a word (during the singing breaks). She is a power-house, with a lot of vocal stamina and one of the best lead-singer & front-women in the Metal scene these days!!

In my opinion, LOVEBITES have three songs that are legitimate masterpieces (which is three more than most other bands have). This is one of them.

What makes this song even more awesome for me is that it is composed and sung by someone whose first language is not English. I am given to understand that English is not an easy language for native Japanese speakers, Asami does a masterful job here. On top of that, Miyako's guitar gives me big Gary Moore vibs, one of my all time favourite guitarists who I had the privilege to see play live. I cannot praise this band enough. 🤗🐺

I assure you they most definitely do keep this (the quality of their songs) up for their whole catalogue. Of their (currently) 56 original songs, they don't have any bad, or even any mediocre songs. They have good songs, great songs and masterpieces. I don't know of any other group or artist in the history of rock music that can say the same.

WHAT A SAD END TO THIS LOVEBITES song called Journey To The Other side ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WzAAT7vgKg8.html With backing vocals and the quiet Miyako getting into it ALSO copied from another post This was the first time Lovebites played this venue, Bass player Miho her father used to take her there for concerts and he was supposed to be there for this one but passed a few months before it took place. What a true professional Miho is that she could play through that song while being so visibly hurting. Asami was emotional as well.

Asami speaks excellent English. She lived in Los Angeles studying Ballet in her teens. One of Miho's main reasons for selecting Asami to be the singer was her English fluency and that she wrote and read English. There are number of interviews where Asami speaks excellent English.

She can really play...yeah and she is self taught on guitar at age 18. Then again playing with Midori will either make you play better or just quit. The talent in this band is just insane and this really shows off Asami's great vocal range and background. Somewhere one of her influences, Gary Moore, is smiling on that great solo. The ballad( well, it starts as a ballad, lol) from the first album, Awakening From Abyss. Empty Daydream and Epilogue, the other 2 ballads, are both on the 2nd album. Yeah , this song really shows off Asami's voice, she wrote the lyrics, Mao wrote the music.

Even more unfair is that Miyako composes their songs, sings harmonies and plays a bit drums too

Rising is another homerun that if you listen closely Asami is easy to understand the whole way through that one also important message. as with We The United also understandable lyrics and great Band/Fan Anthem

Thanks for taking a listen to "Edge of the World." This version is arranged so much better than the "Daughters of the Dawn" version. LOVEBITES does have one song I'm not a fan of, but I've never seen a reaction to it.

11:30 I've heard all their songs, and the answer to your thought is YES, they are this good in ALL of their songs, every single one is great. Obviously I like some more than others. But the weakest Lovebites song is better than many bands' best song. You'll see.

This is a once in a lifetime band. In every respect they are admirable. Songwriting, lyrics, virtuosity, personality and behaviour. They are good in every sense of the word. They have no equals in my opinion…past or present, any musical style. They are perfection itself.
