A 9xxxx series flight number means its a ferry flight, or specifically in this case a repositioning flight. So nobody onboard outside of the pilots. Those are the most fun flights for us to operate, it's the only time we get to experience the true power of these beasts. They're not even showing off. People underestimate how overpowered airliners are and it really shows when they're empty like here. If they didn't pull up so aggressively, they likely would've over-sped the flaps.
Fantastic capture! May I feature this steep 777 takeoff in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you :)
I believe I took off right before this aircraft going to Burbank. They sailed over us over west Texas as I watched them for miles and miles slowly gaining and leaving us in the distance. My 737 couldn’t keep up.
Take a look at BA's T/O from St Kitts. Granted, the flights have been to Antigua and from there to London, with hardly any fuel in them, but nevertheless, the t/o are usually about 4,000 ft of runway or so. Pretty impressive!
Walt I’m so angry I sent my 10 month membership and you didn’t even acknowledge what I said Last nite. I’m just kidding Buddy 😊 I did send my message but I totally understand you had some of your fans talking to you. and the chat was pretty chaotic! I’m definitely looking forward to tomorrow’s Total Eclipse Here in mesa Arizona we are supposed to see 60 percent!
Chad, I am *very* sorry not to have acknowledged your ongoing support of the channel; I really do try to get to every milestone message, but obviously I messed up! Thanks so much for being a loyal Runway DFW member! Will try to do a little better next time.
