The video is primarily an homage to frenemies/enemies centric films from the late 80s to early 00s ("Death Becomes Her", "The Craft", "Jennifer's Body", "Ginger Snaps", "Witches Of Eastwick", "Heathers", "She-Devil", "Poison Ivy") with other supernatural/horror/thriller/chiller films/tropes elements thrown in the mix ("Psycho", "Kill Bill", "The Kiss", "Stardust"). Hell there's even a reference to Alicia Silverstone from the end of Aerosmith's "Cryin'" when Carpenter flips the bird at Ortega.

It is so good to see Sabrina start to really get her due now. I met her in 2017 during her 'The De-Tour' tour and she was super sweet and amazing. I recorded and uploaded most of that tour online, some of which turned out incredible, but she was still very much an up and coming artist, learning the craft and becoming confident in herself. Even back then, I could instantly tell she deserved to be a superstar, it was just a matter of time for more people to find out about her. So happy that the rest of the world is finally starting to see and appreciate what I was lucky enough to see so many years ago.

Jokes are things people do with their mouths. So is oral. It's bizarre to try to argue that a complex writer like Sabrina is only talking at one basic level. Especially when she includes a random image of a guy giving head in the same verse. It would be completely disjointed and irrelevant if it weren't related.

It's possible that the verse 2 structure works as disjointed as you say it is to bring a bigger contrast to the lines to evoke the image of tasting/thinking of someone's ex-partner while you're with them.

I just realised, they basically remade Death Becomes Her in this music video. Two immortal women pining over the same guy, who try to un-alive one another and end up laughing and leaving the mans funeral together after getting him killed while saying "you kill me." Only thing missing was the car at the end that hits the two and their bodies exploded into pieces with the two heads alive, one asking "hey....where did we park the car?"

The song is inspired by her love triangle with Shawn and Camila. The guy looks like Shawn and Jenna with Camila, with the hair and everything. It seems like "Death becomes her" is one of Sabrina and Jenna fav horror movies. In my opinion she's trying to show that people put the blame on girls for this kinda situations, but in reallity the fault in on the guy.

Actually Sabrina used to date Shawn Mendez, and of course, as you know, Shawn Mendes used to date Camila Cabello and there was some back and forth and there are so many references in the song if you know the history. So that’s why she got Jenna Ortega because she looks so much like Camila and the guy in the bed is supposed to be Sean.
