An acoustic cover of ‘What A Wonderful World’ sung by Louis Armstrong. A beautiful song from the late 1960’s with a lovely message. Usually, I go full out on music production with harmonies and layering but, true to the original, I kept it simple.
Keeping up with the music side of my life has been difficult due to so many changes recently but I try to remember why I love it. How much one simple guitar track can block out the noise and how therapeutic singing can be.
I’m starting to realise how much I love jazz music too, especially songs that can work with my lower vocal range which I’m learning to navigate every day. Working behind the scenes in music has and always will be great, but there’s something about performing that connects you to music in a way that other roles can’t.
I look forward to all I can do in the future and the amount I’m still yet to learn and experience. Production and tech will always be my strong suit, but I’m working to explore my comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way.
