Hey! I saw you guys playing at Riverside MS In Billings Montana today, and you are amazing! I might have to talk to my parent about the bassoon, and of course i understand it will take lots of practice and that is not an easy instrument to pick up, but I think that I will learn to love the bassoon! Thanks - J
Hi, I recently began playing the bassoon. I was wondering if there were any specific reeds that are good for beginners or any other tips that you might have for me! I'm not really sure you'll respond, but if you do, thank you so much!
If you ask your music teacher, they can recommend you someone to take lessons from, and almost always make really good reeds for you to use.If you want to get them at the store then beginners usually start on softer reeds if you cannot find a tutor to make some!
Trenton Laflamme sadly, I live in an extremely small town. My band teacher is probably one of the few people who know how to play and has only made a single successful Reed in her 40 years of teaching. Thank you, though
Katelyn Huff I normally use reeds from my music teacher. But I also can recommend the reeds of holger simon which you can buy here: www.simon-fagottrohre.de/produkte.html
Medium soft will work for the first few years but if you start to go flat and it’s not your airflow you should upgrade to Medium this is because your Embouchure will become stronger so your reed will need to be stronger
i’m such a big fan of you guys and i’m actually also a bassoon player(it’s a short reach)i was wondering if you could give me some pointers??even though you probably won’t see this or reply😂and......AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!you guys are truly amazing i love all of your performances i wish i could be there in person!!!!!anyways have a good evening i love you guys so much!!!!
