Omg this guy disappear for like 6 months? I think he is finding an outlet to relive his life. Basically his "influencer" career is down the drain. We all probably know what's going on behind the scenes, give and take, plus and minus, we just knew what happened. With all honesty, a part of me wanting to know the whole exposE thingy another part of me sympathize his downfall which could eventually lead to depression. Depression is not something to mess with if you dont have the internal mechanism to cope with it.

Even in my industry (professional speakers) ...They buy followers and also buy their own books in bulk so that they can call themselves a best selling author. Which in turn leads to more speaking gigs. Freaking disgusted by them.

Xiaxue thank you for your having morals and exposing these issues! I think it is a great way to use your influence and you do it in a way that's very easy to digest. I've always admired your candidness . You're totally not alone in the way you feel about those issues. It's easy to see from the comment feed on this video. :) It's terrible to have that tied to you personally though and have people attack you personally. But I really think what you do with these exposes are valuable and I wonder if it's worth it for you to start a journalistic channel/business separate from your personal channel. Every time you express outrage at immoral practices as someone who is so influential, you're giving voice to those of us who feel the same way but obviously won't be heard. Thanks for what you do!

okay admittedly a few years back, i didn't like xiaxue because of the nasty things i've heard about her but honestly, after watching her videos, i don't get the hate she receives and i think it's quite sad that she's receiving hate or worse for doing something that no one else would dare to (ie. exposing others) when honestly, everyone loves to hear this type of drama
i dont think you should stop exposing cheaters... as an influential blogger, there is a responsibility for you to show the younger followers that one needs to have integrity if they want to become someone famous as you... no one is perfect and that is honestly true but to try to achieve a goal through dishonest methods will certainly tarnish the image of other influential social media personalities...

What made it worse was that it’s such an insult to professional photographers/ people who are into photography & wanna make it big. With all the edited & stolen pictures it just puts DAY on a higher pedestal which he clearly doesn’t deserve. Other Photographers in SG who are rly passionate about it are unable to get greater recognition or sponsorships cuz like u said, it’s a competition to outbeat the other on social media. That was the nasty impact and the reason as to why he deserves the hate from the photography community I guess. Just my two cents!! :”)
I am a freelancer working with graphic design and doing illustrations. For us in this line of industry, we feels that plagiarism, and not crediting the right person for their work is serious matter. I know how it feels like, when we see people who doesn't care about all these things, thinking its like okay, forgive able? There still exist 'art-thief' in the art community. We always find these people who uploads other's artwork in an art community website, and then claims to draw them. So, all these people who always try to pass off other's good work as their own, not limit to any kind of field or industry. In this Aiden's case, its worst because he claims to be a photographer, yet he uses stock image and photoshopped them? For any person who are proud of his own work, won't even want somebody's piece of work in their port folio. Only cheaters do that.
hi xx!! my friend did realise abt this like 2 or 3 years back when she scrolled on his feed and saw a pic of the ocean w a nice sunset.... she reposted the same pic on tumblr a few mins before that LOL. it was the exact same image just that he changed the colours of the sunset. also actual photographers are rarely in front of the camera haha his feed was filled with his pics, which my friends and i thought were odd. cant be self-timer for everything LOL
In my opinion, it’s neither Mothership nor you destroying his career. He did. Especially there were people DM/advised him before this saga happened and yet he just continued. Anyway, I believe he must have considered all this consequences... so we don’t have to be too concern for him???
For more being said , Xia Xue's videos and rants on either RU-vid or Instagram are the source of my confidence and it kind of shaped the way I am now XD I really hope to meet you one day in Singapore or Malaysia
This reminds me of an influencer from SG who calls herself a "celebrity makeup artist" when she has no qualifications and has never been a working pro MUA. Unfortunately, people just go "ooh wow" at her work when in reality, all her looks are the same, maybe just change color only. Meh... the influenza is real. This is why people look down on influencers these days.
Went to her insta page and realised that she calls herself "award winning celebrity makeup artist". Her skin is really thick. Her initials are S.S, try to figure out yourself, I don't want to say her name out here.
Joel Goh Sorry I don’t want to offend you, but I think her case and Darryl’s case cannot be put together in same category. I haven’t heard of her before. But she did do the makeup on other people’s face herself, not took credit for someone else’s work. And also you are insinuating that someone cannot be a “professional” in a field if they have never attended “school” for it, or if they have never worked under someone else and taken salary for it. I don’t agree. One can be a professional even if one is self-taught. A lot of pioneers in an industry are self-taught, but that doesn’t mean they are inferior in skills or experience to those we went to “schools” and get a diploma for it. Also a lot of these schools are private businesses, meaning they are set up to earn money/revenue. E.g. Cosmoprof Academy Pte Ltd. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t good. At the same time, not attending these “schools” also doesn’t mean you cannot be good as well. It depends on how much practice you do over the years. In the end, hard work is the key, no matter if you are self-taught or you learnt from “school”. P.S. No, I don’t work in the makeup industry, so it is not me defending myself LOL. Just wanted to write out my honest opinion. Thank you for reading

You and mothership are among the biggest respected platforms in Singapore for social issues. I am sure that people tried in their own ways to expose others, as you mentioned contacting aiden directly or contacting his circle of friends, but it hasn't worked so they went to others like you to bring it to the public eye. Thank you for sharing your perspective and I know you are getting tired since you have opportunity costs and fears that come along with fame. If you don't wish to do it, I am sure others will eventually come along to take your place, but I have always trusted your perspective on things and hope you will continue your good work. Thanks ah.

I thought the apology was well written, but sincerity and a well written apology are two different things. Plus if he already proven to be SO fake on Instagram, I guess I would never believe anything that he posts in the future; but anyhow I don't even follow him and have never taken much interest in his "influencer" career, I'm just here for all the DRAMA.

This is so true.. I hope people stop going against xiaxue just becos she dares to voice out. The culprits are the ones who ruined their lives, not the person who exposed it. Even if u didn't get caught (by her or anyone), it doesn't mean ur action is not wrong. Now people should also learn how to value honesty instead of comfortable with living in lies.

so there's this instagram "influencer" called djying i'm sure u have heard of her. she started this "brand" with her friend megan. but what she sells, is literally things i find easily on taobao. now i'm not saying that reselling clothes is wrong, but if u look at their shop instagram (think it's @pukka.wtf) u see the way the market their items as "COLLECTION 1 & 2" and they actually had a LAUNCH PARTY and in the launch party was a lot of sponsored items (bc they famous duh so i'd say 80% of the things @ the launch party was sponsored food decor photo booth etc) and the launch party also had a "runway" (not rly a runway like the stage damn small but a place to display their clothes they were selling) and actually fun fact i was offered a job from my friend to be a makeup artist for a event (just eye and contour makeup base makeup is supposed to be done by the models) and i agreed to donit bc i was broke and after agreeing i found out it was for their launch party. trust me if i knew it was for their event i probably won't have accepted but i alr agreed to do smth for a friend cant back out right? so i kept my word and did my job (btw i did it faster than the time i was given and some models came w full face makeup and refused to remove but that's a story for another day) and like while i was doing the makeup they were given their outfits to wear and it came in like TAOBAO PLASTIC BAGS im like what? seriously? u don't even wanna put it on a hanger and pass to the models u THROW it to them in plastic bags? but ok nvm i knew this brand was trashy from the start ah. and then after i left the event maybe 2 weeks after, i saw they are gonna launch the next "collection" soon and like the clothes are looking more and more "taobao" so i legit went to taobao, put in their marketing pictures and found EVERY ITEM for like $5-$10 (except 1 item was cheapest $30+ abit more special looking that kind) and i was like ok yknow what i cannot take it. im studying fashion design and im like doing the makeup for their event and they really just don't rly give a fuck abt the brand more of their friends who came and partying and being in the spotlight, and seeing these girls who have so many followers and bc of that can make use of it and start a "brand" ad marketing their items to make it SEEM like they actually designed/manufactured it im like WHAAAAAT????? im a fashion student, i've put sweat and tears into a actual fashion collection made from scratch by me, and these people are calling their taobao items a COLLECTION man it just makes me fucking mad. so on my photography/portfolio account i just posted all the proof their items are from like taobao and my feelings etc, all my followers (i only have like 300+ so abit pathetic but still 100% of them) voted they agreed to what i was saying about their brand, and im not afraid to speak up about it ah obviously i posted on my story and put into my story highlights for everyone to see. but like u said i'm not popular enough to actually expose them lol. hope u will read this if u have the time and actually see the situation cuz like so many more brands and local designers actually deserve the sponsors and the space to create their own launch party for their own collections, and it breaks my heart to see all this wasted on these 2 girls w followers and good marketing skills (i admit they do la but it's being put out in a wrong way) if u wanna see what i'm saying my IG is @leeannexkelly and it's in a highlight that says "hear me out!"

When towards the end you said “so we’ve come to the end of this....”, in my head I thought you’re gonna say episode. 😂 I’m so used to watching you through guide to life that for a moment I forgot this is your personal channel. 😂 I love how you articulate your arguments here. You’ve always backed your opinions based on logic, and yes your opinions may be biased but that’s why it’s called opinions and not facts. Which is why throughout all kinds of controversies and saga, I’ve always respected your arguments and not take it as a bully who was jealous or whatever. As for Daryl... I don’t think deleting all his posts and putting up a apology post is sincere. It’s just an easy way out to “clean his slate”. By deleting his posts/evidence, he’s admitting he’s done wrong. So if he knew he’s done wrong, why keep doing it when 2.5 years ago someone already called him out? Cos in some way, he knew he was right to do so. It’s just that he lacked to credit original source and made it look like it’s his own original photography work. IMO, he should have just leave all the posts and give due credits and accept that he photoshopped stock images cos that took bloody efforts too! He should be proud of that. Perhaps he could have brand himself as a “photoshopper”(a person who shops for stock images and photoshop it to make it look like a personal photo) instead of photographer.
actually I honestly dk how people couldn't tell before his photos were photoshopped. Like you look at him/the model in the images. Since when people standing bright daylight got no shadow one?
I couldn't agree more with the part that people are just scared or want to play it nicely instead of exposing or confronting people who are dishonest and feels no shame about it. I am with you for what you have done for such comments/articles/videos. If there's anything I could share with you, remember the 80/20 rule. You just need 80% of the people to agree with you or hear you out, the other 20% will always be there whining/bitching like they are the most righteous person in the world.
I mean every influencer has their own Saga but it's how big it blew up and how much people react to the influencer Lol. Eg Eden ang he self declare case close and left off. I remember liking his content when he just started and found him talented. But after a while grew sick of him. Then the Saga where everyone hated him. And well, he self declare case close but until today theres still comments on his recent post. It's hard to say if they change because... It's all in the internet and their fans would never know if they truly changed. And I guess that's why I have been following you for so long. Because u never change and have been true to your fans since day 1. You did seen a little sad in the vid and it did seem to be a very discouraging industry to be in. But always remember that you always have your fans behind u and supporting u. Do what u live and, Never stop exposing :)
Plagiarism is plagiarism... No matter how u explain it... He can say it's original work when he photoshop himself in but those cropped in photos of stock photos is outright plagiarism

I personally feel happy that after doing all these expose for awhile, you’ve thought about the flake you’ve received and decided if expose(s) is worth doing is not so straightforward anymore (although you really do miss out on the attention and fame for it). I feel shitty to see you receive the attacks despite exposing the truth, and I guess I’m saying that I don’t mind having less entertainment from the lack of such expose. Totally agree. I wouldn’t mind him saying that he photoshopped the pics to begin with. In fact, I think his photoshopping skills is quite sick. But don’t go and say that you took those photos yourself and then only admit that they are stock photos after you get caught.
During the recent blood moon (eclipse) , lots of photographers photoshopped blood moon into other pics. It is pretty common now. Look up Juusohd. He said 90% of his photographs are photoshopped! And he calls himself a photographer and digital artist as he doesnt want to limit himself with photography rules. I admire his honesty. But becos of “photgraphers” like him, it makes other real photographers pissed off when followers start to doubt the authenticity of their pics taken & the frustration of trying to prove them wrong. If Daryl has been honest about his works as he is about his plastic surgery, he will still have lots of followers. There will still be people who appreciate this kind of talent. Integrity is more impt than anything in life. In my industry (real estate) there r agts who do unethical stuff just to close a big deal. Felt so tempted to expose one of them 😡but I trust God will bring light & justice in everything tt is hiding in the dark in His timing. By the way, Daryl sings very well, wonder if anyone knows he has a youtube channel. And I hope his so called friends are still standing by him during this period.
omg XX, one issue of Koala Magazine had an interview with Daryl Aiden, and he claims to be a professional photographer. I'll DM you on IG or something when I take photos of it. As a designer, I know fully well that there is indeed a fine line between copying and original artwork, and it's definitely debatable. My main issue was also that he claims that he took those photos. People literally get recognition for photo manipulation. He could've just went down that path and avoided all this lol.
I wish i had the talent to expose ppl (for good use ,of course) like you ! Whenever i found out what people have done which are like disgusting and dishonest .. I did indeed expose them in a nice way though but always gets FIRE BACK and I'm always framed as the ''BAD PERSON' and like I'm the bully . It's so unfair and people always seem to believe them because they had more friends ..I guess life is unfair and i just have to live it..
