When I was small, and even as a teenager, I was always told to 'Watch out', 'The boys definitely love you', etc. Why are we 'protecting' girls, but not teaching boys??
@lookingsubmissiveandbreeda1512

We should teach everyone to respect others and not force yourselves onto people you love. And we should deffo teach young children how to deal with having a crush so they don't end up assaulting the person/people they love. It happened to me when I was younger and now I really hate being grabbed randomly.

They say that they are "protecting girls" that's not true, if they really, truly, sincerely, actually wanted to protect the girls then they would have teached the boys not to SA women/girls and that they are not entitled to women's bodies a long LONG time ago. Those who claim they "protect the girls" and not teach boys know EXACTLY what they are doing. They want to put all the burden on the girls so if anything bad happens "its her fault" and the guys doesn't take accountability for anything. It's obviously a scam.

When I was 7, I was being bullied by this boy in my class. He would punch, kick, and spit on me. However, I was told to be polite, so I didn’t do anything about it. One day, I was sitting in front of him during an assembly and he punched the back of my head and when I turned around he spat in my eyes. I, at this point, was super sick of him, so I cried and went to the principal. The principal told me that the kid probably liked me and that I should give him benefit of the doubt since boys mature slower than girls. Like - dude??? What the fuck??? The secondary principal (I forget what it’s called) called bs on that though and she said that if he touched me again I was allowed to punch him in the nose :)

I called my mom using the principal phone, because I defended myself after nearly 3 years of abuse. My mom walked into that office like a Russian tank loaded. The nearly 7ft tall viking looking guy turned into a tiny wimp before my 5.3ft tall Cuban/Mexican/Asian mom who told him, I never forgotten, "IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE BALLS TO DO YOUR JOB RIGHT, I CAN LET YOU BORROW MINES, BECAUSE I GOT PLENTY OF BALLS FOR EVERYONE!!!" All this because the principal sided with the son of a cop who kept physically beating me up till I had enough. I still don't trust police officers to this day due to how incompetent they are with raising their own sons right. It is so sad that our stories isn't new or done with. We need to teach boys better than this.

Are these morons ever consider that a part of becoming mature would require them being TOGUTH about it? Are people really think that kids raise themselves? If I had a child I would use both names. I like to combine family names like the tradition states like ol' Medieval style, which sometimes men changed their names to their wives or combine them. I never understood opting one over the other... to me it is weird. It is like writing ones name on property or something. At least with both together it looks like a partnership between two corporations, which is nicer. Of course, that is what I would like and prefer, and doesn't mean everyone should. Spoke to the guy who comes into my work to clean the carpets. He just had his third grandchild and asked me if I had kids. I said I didn't but my fiance and I had talked about adoption. "Oh, you can't have kids?" "No, I just don't like the idea of pregnancy." "It's so worth it, though." (Says the man who will never be pregnant or give birth -.- ) "You should have your own after you adopt. It's totally different." "The kid we adopt WILL be ours." "Yeah, but it's different." And he was fighting to keep a smile on his face the whole time. He was clearly bothered by the idea that this random woman he isn't even on a first-name basis with wasn’t thrilled with the idea of pregnancy. That's besides the fact that he views adopted children as an "other." My little cousin is adopted. He's not an other. He's my cousin.

Good news for anyone who might date my son… He was taught how to take care of himself and a house and how to work for a living. And most importantly that he was not above a woman in any way. I was big on the term partnership. besides, when you treat boys as if they are all automatically going to get married and have a wife to take care of them, it’s BS. They need to know how to cook and clean and take care of stuff for the purpose of their own survival. I was the same way when it came to cooking. I never once told my girls that they needed to learn how to cook for their future husband. I told them they need to learn how to cook so that they don’t die from starvation.

Being pressured? Asking when are you getting married and have kids. I’ve notice the difference growing up and most men really don’t care about marriage nor want to become a parent. If men refuse it’s fine but, when women out there says the same thing?It’s shocking, something is wrong with her, she has social anxiety, she’ll be miserable and alone…..It was said that “ getting married is every women dream” . I find that hilarious and stupid. How can you tell women, what they should be dreaming about?It’s ridiculously false and weird. Also, for women out there who doesn’t want to be mothers are doing the world a great favor and not afraid to say they’re not mother material. For some reason, most men find it concerning for women out there,who don’t want to get married nor want to be mothers. I don’t understand why men out there CARE. If they don’t want be on the same page,Why be so quick to assume and jump into conclusions? So,women are not allowed to have their own dreams? On top of that, not only parents pressure their kids to get married and settle down,no women sure have to hear that question from men too. If he’s not serious about that, he shouldn’t even mention marriage or children in a conversation at all. Besides, we don’t hear women threatening their lives as much men are when it comes being single for a long time.

I’m never changing my last name for anyone whenever I get married. Mainly because I love my last name and it’s not a last name that you hear everyday. Also, when I have children, they will have my last name in there (I’m also the only woman on my side of the family with my last name so I want to pass down my name too). Whenever I tell people that, they always ask, “You don’t want to consider hyphenating your last name?” No. It’s my name and I’ve identified with it for 28 years. It’s mind blowing that in 2022, it’s still considered taboo for women to keep their maiden name after marriage and pass their last name to their children.

The problem with the last name example is that most women have been given their fathers last name so even if I gave my child my last name it's still a man's last name. Women should start changing their last names at 18 the giving that last name to their kids.
@wesbecool
@wesbecool 2 года назад
probably better to just make it normal for all kids to choose either of the parents last names when they turn 18. Swap it you want, don't if you don't. If my mom's last name was "Luckinbill" I wouldn't want to be stuck with that.
@bonyworm

Her: "I get it, having parents with two different last names is harder for the kids..." My mom kept her last name and me and my siblings took our dad's last name. I don't know how they chose that, but I think they just rolled dice or something fair or discussed because they are 101% against sexism, both of them. But that is a terrible reason for changing YOUR LAST NAME. It isn't hard. It's fine. If there was an emergency and my mom was around when I was little, and adult might've asked, "What's your last name? What parents are here?" If I responded , "-----, and my mom is here." They would say "MRS. -----" and get my mom's attention. But she would know what it was. TLDR: That's not a reasonable reason.

However, if the guy starts hitting the girl, then people will rush over to help her. I don’t understand why people think it’s ok for girls to abuse guys, but it’s not at all ok for guys to abuse girls. I don’t think that anyone of any gender, race, age, etc should be abusing someone else. Also when girls in school either can’t show their shoulders, or wear ripped jeans because it might “distract the boys”. Why aren’t we teaching boys how to control themselves rather than hiding girls away?

There are thousands of denominations of Christianity, and there can be thousands of takes on the bible from even within the same denomination. It's like playing poop roulette; it's just as easy to find a lenient, kind denomination just as much as it is to find a cruel, sh*tty, oppressive one. The most popular denominations in my state all treat women like second class citizens. Further, in my state, religion is often brought up in arguments by the senate or house of representatives over bills that make decisions about women. This is just my perspective. It's not *all Christians for sure, but it's enough denominations.
@zoey398
@zoey398 2 года назад
furthermore, in response and relation to the person above, many versions of the bible are sexist. almost every single one i have seen is that a woman is supposed to be like a church in a marriage while a man is supposed to be like jesus in a marriage, therefore saying the woman is supposed to basically worship the man under any circumstance and look to him for guidance, safety, acceptance, etc. another one: women aren't allowed to speak in church (IN THE BIBLE, NOT USUALLY IN REAL LIFE) even when spoken to. they were/are shamed for not getting married and having kids and most marriage "traditions" come from women being property to their fathers and then husbands and being married off, ex. dad walking down the isle (transfer of what was essentially regarded as property), what the person in the video said (the man having his right hand free if someone tried to steal her), etc. EDIT: NOT ALL OF THIS APPLIES TO ALL VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE OR DIFFERENT BRANCHES OF CHRISTIANITY. SOME ARE STRICTER WHILE SOME ARE RELATIVELY LOOSE.

With the Christian one, it’s not exactly the wife must follow every command given. Or at least not the way my church teaches. Husband and wife are equal on most grounds, but they have different roles in the family and in the church. Say their is a married couple, the husband would technically be the “leader” but his wife should always have a day and he’ll give counsel and advice to decisions made. They make decisions together. Saying the wife should be submissive to her husband just means that she shouldn’t be mega bossy and rule over the household. Kinda like a Karen. I’m proverbs 31 it talks about a wife and how yes she takes care of her family, but also goes on her own endeavors to better them with her own ideas and projects. Some churches turn this into sexism by taking away all of the woman’s rights, but that isn’t what the Bible says. A woman is free to her own choices, but in a marriage the husband is a leader rather than a tyrant. This is coming from a woman, I do believe this is what the Bible means and I don’t want people to get the wrong idea of what the Bible means

Yea leader is a good thing both are needed a woman’s emotional support can help her to keep everyone going while not giving up and a man’s strength can help to keep everyone safe mentally everyone is important in a house and family

The answer, to the man that wonders why women are not included in the military draft: men have never wanted women in the military, for starters.
@adamearl3874
@adamearl3874 Год назад
Wrong, feminists in the 1920’s that got rights for women said they were not going to accept the draft, congress kept telling them to vote they needed to be included in the draft, feminists said no and kept saying no until congress gave up and allowed women to vote without the draft

im assuming ur referring to the first tiktok and as a bio student ill make a tiny correction here. hysterectomy is the removal of the entire uterus whereas tubectomy (getting tubes tied, which is what that woman was talking abt) is where u cut and tie up the fallopian tubes/oviducts much like in vasectomy where u tie up the vas deferens.

The thing with selective service, if you know about government, that its an amendment. And yes, we can change it, however that sexist law is still in place, because its too hard to change it. @@ZalemMoon No, many men love the idea of going off to fight war and shooting stuff. They feel heroic and love to "conquer." It's us women that think it's almost always a waste of time and it could be handled in other ways. You're correct about most likely not putting us in combat assignments tho. It doesn't mean the opposing side won't target us tho. It doesn't necessarily mean us not being in active combat that we'll be alive and safe. In my opinion...no more human soldiers should fight, it should be robots or the politicians themselves.

The way he interpreted this image is completely wrong. All people are equal in God's eyes (though they do have different roles to play and different roles that go with their nature.) This is an image of umbrellas which do not represent any type of value level at all. What it does represent is that Christ protects the husband, the wife and the Children. The husband protects the wife and children and the wife protects the children. I hope that clears up what this image actually represents. I would go into more of what he said but he was pretty vague so if anyone has more specific examples of 'sexism' in the I'd gladly talk about them.

You can be sexist to men You can be racist to white people. Unless you’re talking about institutional racism. The white majority Western world isn’t the only thing on the planet. My father faced racism for being white back when he was travelling the Middle East. He was even harassed by cops while there. To say you can’t be racist to someone of another race is hilariously ironic considering it’s definition.

i was raised with only a father and he tried his hardest to raise 3 kids all by him self with a low paying job, he tried multiple times to get us a step mom although every time he did they would put their own kids in front of his, and treat me and my siblings horribly or they wouldnt be loyal and cheat on him. it got to the point where whenever he thought he found a girl and got with her she would break our hearts. So i get that some men can be like that and not take care of their kids but we need to stop stereotyping because woman do it to.

The first one is so true it's also been said to me countless of times. I have said that I'm asexual and having s3x is literally a worst fear of mine and that I do not desire it and I go to see the gynecologist to try and sort out my period problems because my period cramps are so bad I can't work when I have them and since I'm working as farmer I have to work every day and it's just going to cripple me so I've told them if nothing else works just remove my uterus because I'm not going to use it. And their face just transforms into disappointment and they just start talking about kids Why!? this conversation isn't about kids or getting pregnant it's about the best course of action for ME to have a better work experience and way of life and if I wasn't asexual I'll still prefer to adopt if I wanted kids my bff was foster care and she hated it kids need homes already no need to make more kids.
