I thought I was good at math 4.0 calculus and statistics. Thought I may minor in Math...until differential equations. Dropped the class, prayed I'd never hear about it ever again! I am "good" at math, but I am also an idiot and freely admit it.
I think with time and practice, many people can become better at Maths, alot of problems you meet are somehow similar & that's why practice and experience is important. Understanding the underlying concepts and their application to real life is another way of getting better.
