How things have changed! It's been several years since I cut, weeded, and pressed vinyl onto shirts, hats, and totes. DTF opens a new world. I've bought many Plastisol transfers from Pro Word and they were a great company to deal with. Thanks, Alex, for your comprehensive and easy-to-understand description of the process!

What a fantastic video! Thank you Alex, your explanations and recommendations were so well put. Easy to understand and follow. I had not heard of DTF and was hesitant to try sublimation and ruin blanks. This sounds like the perfect solution.

I am excited to try DTF! The colors are so vibrant. I would definitely do this. I have a grandchild arriving next month, I plan on doing bibs and onesies.
Thanks for the thorough explanation. I was trying to get the information on whether my heat press (HTVRont) would work or not. A bit worried about it since the pressure can't be adjusted.
Yes that was my issue with dtf and she answered my question when she mentioned the feel, I’m not against it. I just agree that sublimation is the way to Go, I don’t want my products to crack or peel and after so many washings they tend to do that,, but with sublimation it’s there to stay. I was sooooo confused on the dtf bc I’ve seen so many use some powder and she didn’t use any🤷🏼♀️
Great video... thank you for all the good info... I just found myself wondering for a better alternative when it comes to doing color designs and not wanting to use different layers of vinyl... deff this is a game changer... would give it a try❤❤❤
I would love to win the heat press. Thanks so much for the information. ONCE you said it had a screen print feel I lost interest, I’m wanting my business to be straight sublimation bc of it going directly into the fabric. The screen print and vinyl materials seem to crack or peel and I don’t like that
Thank you for this video because I have been looking into doing DTF myself and it seemed so costly to get into! I will add that I purchased some DTFs from a local vinyl shop in my area, and was able to transfer them to shirts with my Cricut EasyPress. I did it on a hard surface and put all my weight into it and they turned out perfectly. I didn’t know you needed an actual heat press. Now I’m wondering if I just got lucky. 😅
Lol I’m glad it worked for you!! I am guessing that DTF prints are like anything else, some are going to work better than others with various pressure. So if it worked from your local vinyl shop, keep doing what you’re doing! ☺️
Very interesting video, thank you. I wonder though if for a singer who wants to sell tee shirts to her fans, it's not too much. Maybe for me it's better to use a company that propose the tee shirt printed already. Some are even doing this on demand I think.I don't know...
This is very cool! Don't know if I just spaced out, but what about DTF film and powder that you just use in your regular inkjet or sublimation printer? I think I would definitely just order from ProWorld though...much easier
So when I talked about the “inkjet printer hack”, that’s the process I was talking about! It makes some cool projects, but since you have to use a white shirt and a lot of the color will wash put anyway, I think sublimation makes more sense. I agree, letting the pros handle it is way better long term!
That’s a good question! The answer is I’m not sure, you’d have to ask them. My guess would be that they will not print those images for you, but that’s just my guess.
