Next stop on our Malaysian country tour is the wonderful Penang. Famous for it's food, we spent our first day eating everything we could! We had a lot of recommendations, and want to know what are the best foods in Penang? If you want to see what we ate check out the video.

Definitely not Chendol that u guys tried in the video, is ABC(known as Ais Kacang). When you order those you can ask exclude the beans or others. U can go to Gurney drive or Padang Kota to try famous Rojak there, looking forward to your next video, bye

Ahhh, it was ABC!! Oops, we messed that up big time.. so we still haven't tried cendol then, I guess that means we need to go back. Thanks for the help and tips Abd Munir Abdullah :)

Penang is definitely a food heaven in the world. You can see a lot of different food in scattered places in Penang and they are just all around! Especially Laksa is my favourite dish and nothing can stop me now!! And finally! I've been waiting for this moment (patiently) that the NYC couple'll make a video about Penang. Thank you so much!! Penang is my favourite city for food.

It was amazing! Now that we're editing the vlogs I'm laughing at how much we ate... And there was food we didn't record LOL. I looooved the noodles! I'm not big on fish so the Laksa isn't my fav but Mark loved it :) 💜Amanda

Yeah, some people don't really like the fish feeling in the Laksa but most do (people that I know). The Char Kway Teow is also extremely nice, too! I just don't know how you were able to eat a lot of food in a single day without getting larger. It is a relief to me.

Haha, Friends is Amanda's all-time favorite show! We've watched all the seasons multiple times! Yeah, we just hit 8K a few days ago... our channel kind of ebbs and flows, right now it's hit a little growth spurt :)

The dessert you guys ordered is ice kacang ( similar to ABC), not chedol. Chedol is coconut milk with green flour noodle with a dash of dark coconut sugar. As for Char Kuay Teow, with salted egg is much better taste. While in penang, should try their charcoal steamboat at Goh Huat Seng Restaurant, famous for its tall smoke funnel and Fried Oyster Omelette. :)

Dream day, eating your way around all the street vendors! Thanks for all the recommendations, can't wait to try these :)! I had the opportunity to try something new recently when I was in Valencia, Spain where we tried the local paella...had no idea what was in it (praying for something yummy) and it turned out to be amazing. It was chicken and rabbit meats with all the rice and spices and lots and lots of rosemary! Defo the best blind dish I have ever ordered :D.

hey guys.. i really would recommend "cucur udang chowrasta". its really light and fun food. there have tables and stools by the street . there is a different stall on the same street, which sells ABC and Cendol too. Sitting down with cucur udang and ABC/ cendol over there would be perfect. then maybe you guys can head over to Bukit Bendera to enjoy the sunset view on top of a hill. Enjoy your next trip !

Penang food paradise! Lo mee( brown gravy noodles), Georgetown famous hainam chicken rice and Nasi kandar. Burmah road and pulau tikus for good food. Penang famous pancake bah chang Kueh! Looking forward to see your next video! Thx

That's not cendol but ABC or ice kacang. Ask for cendol! Not strawberry juice its Rose syrup and palm sugar...

If you sit and order your food, you don't have to line up. Hehehe.. And it is super fast to get your food. But its ok, an experience to be local :-) you should try Hameed Pata Mee Sotong at Fort Cornwallis, Lebuh Pantai. You can find coconut shake too. I really like your video! Thanks for making videos on places in Malaysia!

I suggest cendol place to eat is at Padang Brown food court! The cendol shop opens aroud 5pm. That shop is a hidden gem 😍😍

A few recommendation from my last visit at penang, Restoran Teluk Kumbar Seafood for your fresh seafood fix, Restoran Deen - Nasi Kandar to try out local Nasi Kandar, Him Heang Sdn Bhd for local famous bakery, Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm Penang Butterfly Farm, Kim Seng Kopitiam for some char kuew teow and laksa. Just some suggestions. Locals might not agree with my selection tho XD Good luck

That hotel be just looks the best. The laksa looks better to me like a curry. U guys are making me hungry. The prices are insaneeee.the dessert is huge ima fan of sweet beans like red bean dessert. It's beautiful there. The coconut thing looks like sesame balls.

U guys were eating my fav food in the world Char kueh thiao 😍 while Im drolling in front of my screen on the other Side of the globe 😥 in southern CA. I literally eat this every day while I was there Few weeks ago. Do u Know that many people who are supposed to Only take halal food even love it ! The good news is the ingredients Can easily be found in big Chinese grocery store in NY or CA. That special flavor comes from stir frying quickly on extreme high heat

Go try some durian soft serve at Durian Haven. It's next to Cheah Kongsi, which you may like. I feel like the art gallery/cafe, China House, would you be right up your guys alley as well.

that is not cendol, but ABC aka mixed ice A = Air(water) B = Batu(rock) C = Campur(mixed) The cendol is at 8:58, that coconut with cendol it self. hehe.

You can't go to Penang without trying their nasi kandar. Deen Maju, Hameediyah are some of the popular choices.

Obviously, it looks like you were leaving the place with that huge back pack, reminding me of a new destination coming up,,,,,,, looking for a new hostel and another street food challenge ! They got halo halo too, but the sweets are on toppings unlike in the Philippines the sweeties are just on the bottom of crumbled ice.. Rare but deliciously looking good !

those you re eating are not chendol,, it's ais kacang! chendol is the milky sweet drink with that slimy greenish worm-like jelly.

😂 that Chendol stall lady got it wrong, she accidentally gave you "Ais (Ice) Kacang (Bean)" dessert instead of a chendol. Maybe she got confused when you ask if they had ice cream

You asked for ice-cream then the lady said no ice-cream but ice kacang then you said yes. That was how you ordered the wrong thing.. Sorry guys this video doesn't do justice to Penang food, should do a bit more research on the food. You might find the amazing Malay and Indian food there too. A place call Kapitan is a must. I did enjoyed your other Malaysian videos. All the best guys!

To be honest laksa is not for everyone. Even alot of my friends in Malaysia don't like laksa but i really like it personally.
