Another note about the MK-18 frontsight post I like to point out: Imagine you're aiming with your flashlight on through your red dot sight. Depending on the lighting conditions, your flashlight's light cone can out shine the brightness of your dot. But it will never be able to out shine the frontsight post. It's something you can always fall back on.

Regarding the SCAR buffer tube, there are afteremarket buffer tube adapters for a number of rifles that don't actually need a buffer tube. The purpose isn't for the function in the action. It's because the dimensions of the buffer dube are used in a large number of aftermarket stocks meant for AR-15s. One example of this in gaming is how Tarkov has AK Buffer Tube adapters so you can put AR stocks on an AK and many of these stocks are better for recoil and ergonomics than most AK stocks, even though the buffer tube adapter doesn't actually have a buffer tube in it.

God , I miss when you could access the G3A3 and Remington 700 .And when most of the Mods for aesthetic changes (Like the AKM mod and wooden furniture mods) .

The shootout you mention was ended by LAPD going into a nearby gun store and taking rifles out with them. The California DOJ later revoked that store's license for letting have the rifles without filing the proper paperwork.

The police dep in my town allows you to use a personal weapon as your long rifle but you must submit and inspection form and it has to be tested and made sure it's in spec as well as firing a certain round so you could in theory use a FAL

All the .300 blackout guns are S tier, based on the fact that it takes fewer bullets to kill than a 5.56

No matter how good other options are the SLR-47 is always going to feel better. 30 round mags and firepower that is nearly comparable to the SA-58 is invaluable.

Only flaw i found is at 8:00, because the AR-15 is fake DI, the gas doesnt push on the gas key, but instead travels though, and pushes on the back of the bolt, treating it like its a piston. Also the HK 416 is inspired by the AR-18 of IRA fame. Amazing video like i said

For most of my time in RoN, I ran the HK416 because of its looks, German design, and it's AR properties. Then the F90 came, and the extremely low recoil was too appealing along with the 300 Blackout LVAR. However, the SA-58 OSW-no matter how unwieldy it is to use and how unprecise my shots are-is awesome to bring out when I want introduce suspects to their new god: 7.62x51 NATO out of frustration.

I will agree, the G36 seemed to be the lowest recoiling 5.56 rifle in the game. I was however very butthurt when they removed the Trigicon SRS from it. It's got the largest window with the smallest dot making it my favorite in the game, second would be the (L)EOTech so now I never use the G36. Second sexiest rifle in the game though next to, my beloved, the SA-58. Becuase the right arm of the free world is not to be triffled with!

An update I would love for the devs to add would be a more in depth weapon customization/modification. Like changing hand guards, gas blocks, gas tubes, sight posts, lower or upper receivers, etc. the game is very obviously geared towards the MilSim crowd so those who are interested or have knowledge of firearms would benefit and those who don’t care enough wouldn’t need to bother with it. But I’d love to be able to say lower the amount of gas coming down my gas tube to decrease felt recoil, or change out stocks even if purely for cosmetic purposes. Tons of things they could add to bring even more value to the game. And I know the mods are there but honestly I’ve tried a lot of them and they either make the game run poorly, sometimes don’t even work, and have even glitched out entire maps for me so it’s more hassle than it’s worth.

One thing about the SA58 is that Brazil uses them as theirs Patrol Rilfe, usually found in armored cars that goes up the Favela. And as A Brazilian, I like that gun in here. Some times playing this games i like giving Accurate gear for characters of their nation. So giving A German a AUG, and in this case, I like playing the ParaFAL.

I'd also like to add that integrally supressing a rifle makes the suppression more effective. That's what the Russians did with the Groza, AS-VAL and VSS Vintorez. Makes the gun even quieter.

I do not own a firearm myself (located in Germany, so access is limited, to say the least) and don't have any more knowledge about them as playing games may give you, so putting the detailed rl information to the game performance got me a lot of new things to be aware of ingame. Amazing, how much detail went into gun looks and performance ingame! I play the SWAT series since SWAT 2, but with job and kids, I can't dive in every detail of Ready Or Not as deep as you did, so I apprechiate the inspiration. As a gun enthusiast servicing in the military, I can say this is the top-quality content. Even with a 30+ min length video, I still enjoyed and rewatched it multiple times. I miss playing Ready or Not when I’m in vacation.

I heard rumors that the devs are fixing recoil patterns of the weapons one by one. That's probably why some guns feel better than the rest. The G36, F90 and BRN180 were said to be the first few to receive new recoil pattern updates.

The older M4, M16 rifles shipped with the raised front iron sight. This doubled up as the gas block. As you have noted, the later models (eg, Mk 18, 416) shipped with a low profile gas block opening opportunities for the various handguard options. Good informative video. Thanks

The best rifles are those that are being used by the suspects, a fully automatic m14 with no recoil placing accurate headshots, now thats art

The SCAR16 with the buffer tube is a common modification so that the user can place M4/AR15 stocks on it. The stock can usually still fold and the bolt carrier does not travel into the buffer tube

Really nice to see someone who has knowledge about guns talk about this game. Most people would approach this typa video like a Call of Duty type tier list. It also helps that the game is pretty accurate about a lot of stuff. I’m a gun enthusiast myself and its great that this game actually has good guns irl be good in game and not like another tact game with arcade flavoring on top.

10:03 While the G-36 itself didn't compete against the M4/M16 family in US service, the XM8 KEW (one of the spin-offs of the OICW program after its failure) *did* compete for the honor, and is mechanically a G-36, with slightly different exteriors and optics, with the inclusion of a then-proprietary mounting system. Ultimately, the US DoD decided that while it was an improvement over the M16s of the time (M16s at the time generally were only issued with iron sights, so the XM8 having integral optics was an improvement), it wasn't enough of an improvement for the DoD to procure it (and ultimately, widespread adoption of Picatinny and optics would give these guns the benefits of optics and accessories).

Another benefit to the MK18's front sight base, is that if you're using an optic with just a plain dot, you can use the wings of the fsb to bracket targets, and create a pseudo Eotech reticle to help speed up close distance shooting

About the SCAR buffer tube. It's a SCAR 15P/SC (sub-compact), not a SCAR 16/L. This is a smaller package, usually used by civilians but sometimes used by law enforcement agencies around the world. (I apologize for my bad grammar, English is not my first language)

"No police force uses the SA-58" yeah, but there are some police departments in Brazil who use the M964 (the parafal), which is in the same platform as the SA-58, however it's being replaced by the Imbel IA-2.

As someone whos never played or will play ready or not this is a very helpful video to me

Personally before modding the game I'd say the only ARs I touched were the MK18, G36C and MCX regularly however the SA-58 is like your best non-modded rifle for long range I actually loved using it on maps such as Greased Palms or the Vineyard where you have real sightlines as you can have your team run in and try to handle stuff but if they miss a target or there is one to many for them just doming them long distance was so satisfying.

Do you use suppressors on all of your rifles? I would appreciate a video on the different weapon attachments in game. Mainly, the grips and muzzle attachments.

the reason why I pick the BRN-180 over the LVAW is I prefer it's iron sights, so I find it's a fair trade for that little bit of extra surpressed length

Personally, I love the front sight on the Mk18. Sometimes it's bright enough to make it hard to see my holographic sight- the front sight is a lifesaver there.

I got so tired of AR platforms that I kept using the SA58 until now. Doesn't let you down.

for meta gamers: G36C even though it looks ugly af seems to be the best one in terms of recoil which is honestly the only notable difference between the AR's anyway if not then just use a really short one like MK 18 Mod 0 or the bullpup. But if you are real ass gamer who want to be able to get incapacitate with 1 shot to the chest go with SA 58 battle rifle its bettern than all of the other 5.56x45mm shit. Before 1.0 update where incapacitate gave you full points as if you had gotten an arrest that gun allowed me to get S rank on every mission during ADAM update times.

regarding to the g36 KAC top rail, there are 2 versions. One is shorter, which is exactly the one in the game. And the other one is longer(the one that could fit lpvo).

Another note about keymod, and in turn, the MCX. Keymod is (at least in my unreasonably limited experience) weirdly heavy, approaching the same weight as dedicated rails. This sorta defeats the purpose of not having pic rails.
