What Are The Coven Head's Palismen? | The Owl House Theory 

I had thought Raine's palisman was some sort of Fox, Canine or even a giraffe purely due to Raine's violin. It has some animal head on it.

Eberwolf is mostly an animal themselves, so I like to think that their palisman is just a mini version of them

Raine's palisman is shown in finale to be a kinda fox judging on how it's drawn with big ears and a fluffy tail (common traits when drawing a fox)

Honestly, I think Raine's Palisman could be based on Noibat since Dana is a big Pokémon fan and Noibat is litterally a bat based around soundwaves (and it especially fits with the whole B.A.T.S. thing) , but also the cricket theory makes sense (especially paired with the theory that could be now Skara's)

Just looked it up, Raine's Palisman is a fox. Witch seems very fitting for them since they were able to trick everyone.

For Eber, I think Manticore or Griffin would work, too, because they're combinations of many animals. Or maybe some kind of chimera.

I thought Darius's palisman was the little abomination that brought the note to Raine? It has a role similar to how Principal Bump's palisman works as part of him. Darius's palisman becomes his abomination goo hair and lets him turn himself into goo.

In the end credits of s3 ep3, Raine has a fox palisman :) But it is possible that it's new and that they did originally have a cricket palisman

I think the octopus fits perfectly for Darius. For Mason, a beaver seems like a good fit. I'd wager a Tasmanian devil would fit Eberwolf. Can't think of anything for Osran, maybe an eagle or a scorpion? For Hettie, I'm torn between a gecko and a gargoyle, so a gargoyle gecko it is. For Adrian, I was originally thinking a peacock, but I think a swan would be better fitting. They're beautiful birds, but they're also huge jerks. I also now firmly believe that the memory he saw in Labyrinth Runners was when he lost his palisman. While a wasp is a good pick for Terra, I think a hornet would be slightly more fitting. Though the snapping turtle is also a good pick for her. I can't imagine Vitimir not having a mandrake palisman. I will die on this hill.

I would love to see somebody to draw them! Not just them as the animal, but to reflect the coven heads too. I feel like they would get a unique look since the coven heads are more powerful then normal witches. 👌🏽

Palismen are often not just one earthly animal, they always have something different about them. The protagonist’s Palismen are pretty tame, but the rest are very unique and some of them don’t even look like any one animal. So I’m going for less of a single animal approach for this list and more of a potential design Adrian=Mimic octopus 100%, smart, able to use literal illusions with ink and colour changing and its famous acting prowess, plus the tentacles could kinda match his tail. Its colours would be constantly shifting like a technacolour lava lamp Darius=This stumped me for awhile, but-as dumb as it sounds-I really like the idea of it being some standard pet animal like a dog. Specifically a fancy-looking one like a poodle. Maybe it would also be eternally covered in “mud” with goopy patterns and fur that naturally drips to reference Darius’ abomination goo. Plus the dog references his friendship with Eberwolf, and the fancier dog references his overall vibes. Also dogs are often seen as symbols of good traits, fitting since Darius is one of the covens who is revealed to be working against Belos. Eberwolf=Razorback pig for sure, very spikey. Maybe it could have six legs in reference to the insects he also commands Hettie=I was thinking a blue horseshoe crab, for their overall spinyness and tails that look dangerous (even though they aren’t), referencing medical needles and the scalpel Hettie throws at Ebberwolf. But mainly for how these animals are industrially harvested for medicine production. You could also make a case for Hettie’s hat with the upwards facing horns sortov looking like the legs of a swimming horseshoe crab, since they swim upsidedown Mason=Termite, specifically more of a soldier termite with the massive jaws meant to look like construction equipment. Osran=I really like the scarab beetle idea, maybe his old staff had an oracle crystal ball mounted on it which acted like his palisman’s dung ball Raine=Bat, obviously. Maybe give it insect wings or a wyvern’s barbed tail or something (I do like the wyvern imagery as a sort of reference to Raine’s whistling to mess with liquids, as a nod to poison). But the BATS, plus the sound theming just makes it too good Terra=A plant of some kind, obviously. We know that plant Palismen exist so it could just be some generic looking plant creature but I’d personally really like some sort of sundew creature. It could be part frilled lizard like Predaplant Chlamydosundew from Yugioh, or maybe a cute jellyfish-thing. Vitimir=That green lion concept is genius so I’m 100% stealing it. But also mixing in some thylacine elements with yellow stripes on its back and around its mouth (a reference to the green lion trying to eat the sun), also just like a thylacine and Vitimir himself, it could unhinge its jaw.

I would say that Adrian would possibly have a snake, moth, cat, fox, some type of reptile, or a crocodile like you said but I prefer to think that he would have some sort of smaller reptile as his palismen

there has been a theory a while ago said that Raine's palisman could be a hummingbird well since there has been news of hummingbirds reacting to music

If disney hadn't messed up and bullied Dana into quitting at the company. We might have been able to get a few of these questions answered or at least something along the lines of Coven Heads vs Proteges. One of my problems with the show most likely caused by Disney rushing Dana the way they did was the fact that the show had potential for one on one battles between the most talented track students of Hexside and the respective Coven heads who could've been seen as dark reflections of them. What they might have grown up as if Luz never entered their lives and help them realize belos was not all he appeared to be. if you also included Luz vs Eda (Bad Girl aka Wild Magic Coven aka Multitrack) and Hunter vs Kikimora (Emperor's Coven) that would be 11 different pairings to square off against each other. And with the series finale having a scene where Luz is in Belos's Position it only leads me further to believing that this was the route they wanted to go in. With each student defeating their respective Coven Head, earning their respect, or helping them in Eda's case as her curse may have taken over again which is much stronger. Leading up to all of them having to confront Belos. I get thats a lot of characters but given how disney didnt want it to succeed we can't rule this idea out as a possible route it was supposed to go in given how many coven heads there were as well as how rushed Darius and Eberwolf's face turns felt given that when they captured the traitorous Raine it didnt feel remotely like an act. Though the whole double agent route could still work with this idea if Terra had used her "Tea" on them without Raine realizing. Also who sold Raine and the others out when Eda had to pose as Raine in the day of unity? I keep watching those episodes and i have no clue who the rat in the saboutage plan was. Only possible idea could be Steve but...idk its another plot point that wont be answered now

I like the idea of Adrian with some kind of mythical creatures that is real , but not quite as terrorizing as it is in myth. For EverWolf, I would a keystone. That plays a big role in the ecosystem.

I personally love the theories that Raine and Darius had their palismen on PLAIN SIGHT this whole time Raine's violin has a little fox on it's end, and on the time skip we see Raine has a fox palisman similiar colors as for the violin I'm pretty sure. Yeah, the Violin was damaged at the fight with Belos, but we know Owlbert was once damaged, and he's fine, so probably they could heal, or they were healed/repered by someone And for Darius - there are comics and arts, that his abomination hair aren't stylistic choice, but the palisman, which I saw once being called Bell and having they/them pronounce. Like it's a little abomination with a bun on it's head, which explains why Darius's hair changed since he was a student at Hexide (I belive he dyed his beard to mach) Also those are things Belos may not known, they were hidden as usufull objects or part of designs, and probably by eating and stealing so many palismen, he could have forgot about a few hidden ones Also also the fact that Lilith had her palisman all the time, and people knew about it (but it might be bc of the time travel thing, although i don't think Philip saw Lilith having her palisman, but I might be mistaken) I also personally wonder, if Belos actually took palismen from people outside of Emperors Coven (in last 50 years), we know from Steve that he likes to take them from scouts, but could he actually taken them from Coven heads? Idk, but the theory that all/most of them left their palismen seems more feeting to me actually Btw sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language + it's like almost midnight 😅

If you check the owl house finale, you'll see that raine has a palisman: a fox!. If you also check his viola, you'll see that it has a fox design on its scroll. So, this could mean that raine's palisman was in disguise all along.

i would still say a Bat for Raine since Bats use sound to find their way and have poor eyesight, similar to Raine who wears glasses and his favorite attack besides the slashes are to use a high frequency from a whistle to cause a burst of sound around him to push away and whatnot, similarly to a Bat's echolocation. not to mention he would use a Bat Themed Mask, if that where the case, it would be to remember his beloved palisman weather he got taken or released. much like how- SPOILER, Hunter and the other's get tattoos of Flapjack to remember him by.

9:41 The pig is also very reminiscent to Hen Wen from the Black Cauldron. Hen Wen was a pig with the ability to see, and show others, visions of the future. Both Black Cauldrin and The Owl House are Disney properties, so it'd make sense.

For Terra's Palisman I would say a hornet they are definitely vicious
