What Are the Dangers of Corrosion or Low Voltage on My Bow Thruster Battery? 

Here is a great question from Melissa - we don't often think about the effect an older lead acid battery can have on a bow thruster. She writes, "It is winter in the Pacific Northwest; I am not cruising, so my boat is at the dock on shore power. I was there yesterday and checked the lead acid bow thruster battery. It had some corrosion on the post, and the water level was low (still covering the plates). I understand that there is a bigger issue and that I could actually damage the thruster?"
