I am not a doctor but from my research if you have an inflamed lymph nodule: - Record when you first noticed, measure it, how fast it grows or if it decreases, if you were sick when it appeared. If you do ultrasounds ask and keep images. - Do first an ultrasound. Echo cannot tell 100% but there are some characteristics which would be more worisome like short axis of the node is more then 10mm, nodule is more round than oval, it's hard, doesn't have hilum (in the centre), on Doppler the blood is not central but more chaotic. Ask the doctor to write all these characteristics and even print some image if you want to check the evolution. No characteristic is decisive but together they are very useful for estimation. - Do a blood test on hemoleucogram, ESR, LDH, liver tests and a microscope check of blood cells/smear test to confirm hemoleucogram findings. However, lymphoma will not appear in blood tests unless it's advanced and reached the bone where blood cells are made. You can also check for EBV DNA to find if you had EBV previously. - Ultimately only a biopsy can say but for Hodkins biopsy with a neddle cannot say for sure, an excisional biopsy is more certain. For Non-Hogkins neddle biopsy can be more accurate especially when performing IHC/flow citometry and molecular teats. Multiple tests are performed on a biopsy first histopatology, then IHC/flow citometry and possibly molecular tests. - Pay attention to symptoms like weight loss, tiredness, night sweats, unexplained temperature. Once again, I am not a doctor. Just hopefully gives some idea of the steps which can be applied. Still not sure which are the low grade, indollent and the double tumor time.
Everyone who reads this and everyone in this comment section; im praying for you I understand how unique each of your stories maybe especially the ones fighting battles like this and stay strong! Fight! I believe in you all and wish the best for all of you. GOD BLESS
Sean, What a kind and thoughtful comment to post. Thank you from the depths of my heart. I am holding you in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. Many blessings are being sent your way. 🦋🕯🫂🌟🙏🏻💙
I start my journey tomorrow. Blood test, then Hematologist the next day and get results from the PET scan 🙏🏻🤞🏻 wishing everyone luck with their journeys and recover as best as you're able. Blessings and love 💓🤗
Lovely Gentleman he hit it right in the nail head we guys avoid the doctor until we are violently ill only to be told the grim reality this has happen to many people I know we all need to be proactive ! wish Chris a long remission!
I’m only 30 and going through this right now. 😢 I felt like my heart is shattered after hearing what my diagnosis is yesterday. The rash and occasional night sweats make sense now. I really don’t want to have to go through chemo or radiation therapy. They sound like a nightmare to me.
you've got this, and you'll smash it. don't let it beat you, or anything for that matter. You have to fight to win, without the fight nobody would win anything. keep on keeping on
God bless you your gonna fight this your gonna fucking kick this shits arse you have got this . Did you have any other signs I'm worried I have this have pain under arm pit but dnt have any night sweats or tiredness so I'm so worried so hard on nhs to get a face to face Dr's appointment
@@Thelasthouroil let me just tell you if he were our hope, I don't think anyone would be sick. But you have to admit they are not a working God because if that were the case then at least children would not be abducted, raped, and murdered.
@@WVgrl59 Thank you for responding. God tells us through the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 We live in a fallen and sinful world. When We chose to disobey God, it brought sin into the world and sin brought sickness, pain, disease, physical and spiritual death. He gave us dominion over the earth and WE CHOSE to disobey Him and the consequences (which He warned us of) followed suit. When Jesus came, born through a virgin and lived a perfect life in relationship with God the Father, being tempted in every way as we are yet NEVER sinning because He is God and God is light and there is NO darkness in Him. He healed those who were sick, and made the lame walk, the deaf hear, the mute speak, the dead were raised back to life, and He cast out demons. He showed us the Kingdom of God on Earth. He died a horrible death on the cross WILLINGLY for our sins, and was raised Back to life by the glory of the Father because death couldn’t not hold Him. He promised that He is coming back again and He will judge the living and the dead and make all things new. He gave us a taste of a world made new, His kingdom, when He walked the earth and trampled over sin and death and over all the power of the enemy. But until He comes back and makes all things new, we still live in a world plagued by sin. Our ONLY hope is Jesus. We can be reconciled to the Father through Him, through Faith in His name by Grace and walk in victory over sin and death, and be ushers of the Kingdom of God on this earth.
You think it's just your body getting older so you don't immediately become concerned. But once you have a diagnosis and you know all of the symptoms suddenly all of these individual pieces of the puzzle start to fit in place and take shape. Symptoms that you've discounted and played down suddenly make sense.
The important aspect of his story is “Biopsy upon confirmation”. Everything else is speculative and does not result in patient diagnosis. PET Scans & Ultrasound are the best diagnostic tools to catch a lymphoma early. Early means above the torso.
@@bigbuckbunny9073 it means lymph nodes from head and neck are still considered stage 1 & or Stage 2. Below those, it becomes stage 3 and if involved with an internal organ spread, it becomes stage 4.
It is hard to get insurance to pay for PET scans. I am fighting to get one now because I have been sick for months. I have lost 35 lbs in 3 months, night sweats, swollen lymph nodes in both sides of my neck, behind my right ear, and 7 in both sides of my groin. I have easy bruising, a boney lump in my chest below my collarbone, extreme fatigue and more. I have received CT scan and ultrasound and doctors say lymph nodes are not big enough to be cancer. I know in my heart something is wrong my body feels like its shutting down and no doctor will help me. I finally got a surgeon to order PET scan and insurance denied it. I am so frustrated and weak. The surgeon says he can do biopsy but said it with irritability as if I am annoying him. I feel like I am being sent home to die each time I leave the hospital or doctor. No one cares enough to dig, I am praying for someone to hurry up and figure this out.
Thanks for sharing.. I am hoping for the best for you. I go I. This Tuesday for lab work. My symptoms match yours and more. I'm nervous. Much love n light to you all
I have Myeloma. Almost the same thing. I'm doing Immunetheropy right now and it has brought my paraprotein down a little, but the last 2 months it is now staying the same.
I’m experiencing every one of those symptoms including swollen glands in my armpit, it’s painful at times, and I do get tired a lot easier than before. I’m only 45 so should I seek help or ignore it
if they’re swollen and they’re painful, then that’s a good sign that it’s not cancer! usually if they’re not painful, and kind of hard when you move them around or press on them, that is a good sign that it’s cancer
I'm 44 I have re occuring swollen LYMPS. MY NECK ONE IS TERRIBLE YES ITS PAINFUL IT HURTS LKE 😳 . SWOLLEN LAST NIGHT I COULDN'T SLEEP ( CAPS I CANNOT SEE WELL SORRY) I WENT AND HAD IT TESTED Lymphocytes 90 PERCENT. WS TOLD TEETH WAS TOLD CANCEROUS WAS TOLD NOT . SICK OF TEXAS. TEXAS U ARE INSANE. IM. FATIGUED A TON. I HAVE CHRONIC PAIN SO. IM GOING TO MY DR also it says certain autoimmune disorders cause this via Google.
i’m scared that i’m feeling this fatigue, but i’m not sure if it’s a symptom or not. can you tell me how long you’ve been feeling it, what it’s like, and if you have any other symptoms?
Being a Kaiser patient, I get a blood test every year. This is so important because I eventually was diagnosed with lymphoma (8 years) with almost no symptoms. It then spiraled into leukemia (since December). I am taking Imbruvica at the age of 86 to treat the leukemia and aside from tiredness, almost no symptoms. Thank you, Kaiser!!!
Can I ask what blood tests come back abnormal for them to diagnose you? Only as iv had a lump in my neck for 4 months and my bloods are coming back abnormal and doctors aren’t concerned.
@@leahpowell9961 When I had lymphoma, I had basically no symptoms and only had a blood test every six months. Then it spiraled into leukemia and since then I have a blood test every month to check to see that I am not reacting negatively to the Imbruvica medication. I love Kaiser because the doctors though overloaded give excellent care. What can I say!
My brother died today only 35 years old. He had surgery and removed the tumor on his neck but after a year it came back but it had spread to his liver and another part of his body. I can not believe how fast it spreads.
Very sorry for your loss. I was recently diagnosed with lymphoma of an aggressive variety and I too am surprised how quickly it grows. Know that your post is a potent reminder of how dangerous lymphoma is and can be. May you find healing and compassion from those around you.
Thank you! Lymphoma symptoms are a cluster of non-alarming daily nuisances that most physicians will ignore until you are in stage 4. My symptoms included episodic inability to walk in the morning. I thought I was fatigue from working out. I also had skin rashes that seem externally caused, however they would not go away for weeks. I also woke up with clasped fingers that would not open without mild assistance from furniture or my other hand. But it was episodic so I thought I was just getting old and my autoniimune disorders were flaring up. And so many more. Also, my blood tests were not symptomatic enough to draw attention. Finally I told my doctor these symptoms and I was in chronic pain at 5 somewhere, every day, in different parts of my body. After griping, complaining, and threatening my carrier I finally got the help I needed. This is exactly my story.
So true doctor wouldnt even pay attention much and tell you that you're find... some times you just have to find the right doctor because there are lazy ones or just doenst care at all
@@PedroSanchez-sj5ud True some doctors are careless. Four months back, I found out that I had mild hepatomegaly and mild splenomegaly and night sweat for about 1 week. I went to the doctor and told him of my symptoms, he did a full blood count and said my WBC COUNT was 4.88, my red blood count normal, hemoglobin 12.3, platelet 237, lymphocytes 60.1. I was however concern about the increase in lymphocytes but he told me not to bother that I am fine, but deep down in me I know I'm not fine because I feel this discomfort in my throat and at the side of my neck, somethings I feel pain in my jaw which extents to my eye and I also have muscle and join pain in my head and I have lost some weight. I think I've got leukemia . I gave through surgery 4 months ago. I'm really worried. But my doctor keeps saying I'm fine. Someone should please help me
I’ve had swollen, sometimes extremely painful, lymph nodes from my neck down my arms and chest for the past 7 months. Blood work is fine. Drs don’t want to help. They won’t do a biopsy. I’ve had many CT scans. Had a Dr tell me, “I know you feel like your lymph nodes are swollen but medically they aren’t.” WTF??? It feels like hard nodules un my biceps and chest and neck….of course I’m worried and want it taken care of. Doctors don’t want to help until shit hits the fan it seems….. :((( I’m at my wits end.
I have an appointment in a week with a private doctor (haematologist) as i am so poorly and the nhs will not help me, i ended up in a and e because i coudl barely stand im so fatigued and i have persistent swollen lymph nodes and a lump on my neck. They did "routine" bloods and a chest xray and told me i was fine. My legs are so itchy they bleed, i have unexplained brusing, chronic fatigue, swollen lymp nodes and i just dont feel right at all i cant even walk up the stairs wihtout getting out of breath and having to lie down it is destroying my life 😢 im really hoping i get some answers soon but im sick of being told im fine.
No lesson I feel alone everyone telling me I'm making up excuses when my lymph nodes are swollen no one is hear for me I feel alone in my room loosin my air on everything I drink
Look up Dr Truman Berst on Thursday evenings around 11:30 pm12.00 am British time he is a Holistic practitioner one of the best in his day he is in his 80’s or late 70’s for sure. You will find he is a lovey man and extremely knowledgable . I’m having to go sit n listen to him myself just found a series of lumps in my throat and all glands raised in my neck and u see arma smh
Stressing currently. I’m an 18 yo male and have had swollen lynmnodes through my neck for 7 months now. I have very sharp pains in my groin and pelvis area randomly. I’ve had multiple ultrasounds on head and neck, and test for mono. My antibodies reveled I’d had it sometime in the past. I’ve asked time and time again for my doctor to order me a ct scan but 🤷🏼♂️
please keep pushing for that scan or a biopsy!!! doctors sometimes try to take the easy way out by dismissing a patients worries and they’ll say that you’re fine, but never give up!!! this could be life or death buddy, so i really wish you luck ❤️❤️❤️ as long as you get confirmation that you have lymphoma (that is *if* you have it), and you get treatment, then you’ll be A ok :))
Get that scan please. I'm 18 too and I've had a swollen lymph node on my neck for 6 years now that has been getting bigger. I've been getting sick one time after the next lately and this lymph node on my neck is like the size of a grape right now. I don't want to tell my parents though...
I got to about 55 without any real illness except what I thought was ezecma which I developed when I was about 45 and it gradually got worse and they decided it was psoriasis as it didn't react to the ezecma patch test. Then some tumours came on my hand and lead to the amputation of a finger and no it wasn't ezecma or psoriasis but a very rare Lymphoma called Mycosis Fungoides which had progressed to stage 2b by its discovery.
Uh oh. I'm going through something similar right now. Skin rashes that are itchy. Some moles that showed up and come and go. Dry up then come back moist. Geez. It's near midnight and I probably won't be able to go to sleep now.
Extensively Times that Step we are afraid to Take might just be the right one. Thank you Dr Igho for your medication that helped me restore my full health Naturally. Your Medication that cured me is super awesome I am absolutely Delighted I came Across your channel.
I'm 50 went to hospital New year's Day they found something on the cat scan plus blood higher pottasium and low b 12 so now got to go Feb 7 to the lymphoma chemo clinic to have biopsy .
how is he doing now what treatment has he gone through i had seen some videos of dr garson but they r very expensive only rich people can be treated with their juice theraphy
Got my tonsils out many years ago and had swollen areas and they said cyst than now a rash itchy won’t go away more ans more every day going to my hematologist Monday
Yes it is. I’m a nurse practitioner and men fail to get the healthcare they need due to feeling the need to be strong for everyone else. If a man comes in due to depression, he will often voice shame and guilt bc of societal pressure to be strong.
I'm concerned about a small lump in my neck that I've had for a little over a month. Should I go to the doctor? It hasn't grown or changed in size at all, it's hard and movable and it's only half an inch big. The only other symptom I have that indicates cancer is constant tiredness but that could just be a result of not getting enough sleep.
@@Psycholas I went to the doctor a couple days ago and she found a few more swollen lymph nodes in my neck and groin, very small tho. She did blood work to check my thyroid and I assume it came back normal since I didn’t get any calls. She said I can get an ultra sound on my neck if I really wanted to but she recommended that I just wait it out and come back if it grows. Hope that helps you out!
My lymphoma is above my eyebrow and I've been diagnosed with non hodgkin's lymphoma, they say its low grade after two biopsies but I now have a large lump on my head so I'm thinking it might be high grade, I've also been diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a partial anf total thyroidectomy
I just found out about my lymphnodes and must say scared of the treatments I lived threw my partner who had cancer and it is terrible to watch people fight for their lives then die
