HERE WE GOOOO! This was HIGHLY requested, and we're going to deliver: A special episode of True Power! It's time to discover what the Hoenn Battle Frontier trainers are REALLY capable of! This one in particular took *a lot* of work, so I'd really appreciate if you guys could drop a Like & Comment to boost the video's performance! NOTE: While Noland has befriended an Articuno in the anime, he never officially caught it, and therefore it can't count toward his best team.
Uhm you know that Noland has a legandary friend Articuno right? You know the one that Noland saves with his plane and healed treated Articuno's wing and that ash faces with Charizard in the anime?🤔
For the Fontier King i think a legendary is abit overkill, i think using his mons in the anime can be very usefull I mean you can di alot with ninjask( like protect for extra speed for his/her speddboost ability and sand attack or double team can trow the player off) And let's be real, i think dusclops without eviolite can be bulky too (and in his end team (like in oras he can give him an eviolite) and give him an leftovers instead😁. And i don't now what you can do with an Solrock but i think a trainer like Brabdon can think of something. (In the anime ash had a hard time with brandon's team of Dusclops, Ninjask, Solrock and Regice). My opinion the strong team should be: Dusclops, Ninjask, and Moltres and the Regi trio😊 (bulk, speed and legendary😆)
Wally would probably use Roserade, Talonflame, Azumarill, Magnezone and Garchomp, all at level 79, and Gallade-M at level 81. i don't think Altaria or Delcatty (both maxed at level 64) would fill any slot on the team that isn't filled better by something else. Gardevoir is only used in Gen3 because Gallade and Mega Stones didn't exist at the time, so i don't see it making the team
@@JoeKell365 I don’t really think that’s a good explanation I don’t really think he cares about how he has the Pokémon as long as he has the Pokémon then it’s viable for the team
Sinnoh is going to be a problem . They got a frontier area there too. Not to mention the gym leaders , Frontier heads , and Elite Four rosters are A1 An we know the worse regional tournament is gonna be Kalos
@@jordanf9257 idk much about the island kahunas since I barely played the Gen 7 games but the Kalos trainers are just trash . Like that’s a region with a decent Pokédex and Megas , and none of the Elite Four members took advantage of them . At least the elite four in Hoeen in the remakes got megas
Actually, I've heard shuckle is based on snake-wine-hence the fermentation and snake in a jar, and infatuation theme seen in the anime. Fermentation was translated to mold, and somewhere in the design process the alcohol and dead animal preservation elements were toned down and edited out until chuckle became a mysterious, impossible to identify nonsense animal. I bet added chuckle to the all snake team is kind of an internal shoutout to this older legacy.
A. Thrilled that we get to see the hoenn frontier brains get their spotlight B. Im voting for wally. Gotta see how strong the true hoenn rival really is
@@ksoundkaiju9256 I'd say only one of the. As a npc, they both only have 8 pokemon total (not counting all starters) so itd be hard to give them both full teams without looking to the anime or manga
@@patrickstyle24816 Maxie has a houndoom in the manga I think Archie on the other hand has a walreign But I think their aces could fill the 6th spot if they aren't on the team Just put them on the same level as his other Pokemon
We must analyze Maxie and Archie next. Two more trainers with legendaries lol Edit: why do I think that the Frontier Brains will dominate this Tournament?? ;)
AWESOME!!! This is just what I wanted, what I was hoping for! I'm ecstatic to see the seven Frontier Brains enter the Hoenn True Power Tournament. Or, I should say in proper Battle Frontier speak: I AM HAPPY LIKE A LITTLE TOGEPI Is Anabel going to use any Z moves, since some of her Pokemon have access to them in Sun and Moon? It would definitely be interesting to see them finally used in the tournaments. Next up: What's the True Power of Maxie and Archie?
The Frontier brains are going to make the Hoenn tournament unreal. Even if some of their Pokemon aren’t the craziest, the variety and coverage alone is gonna be intense.
I actually never got to the battle frontier in any of my emerald playthroughs, so I didn't really get the hype before. But man oh man have I been missing out. You did a great job of explaining their roles and putting into context just how much of a challenge they all must have been! It gave me an urge to pick up my copy of emerald and just star it over to get to know them better!
You will love it I can guaranteed. They are annoying as a kid but amazing if you play it now. Besides, Hoenn battle frontier is light-years better than Sinnoh's.
Really, Silph, you've outdone yourself with this one! Allowing the trainers to pick pokémon from their anime appearances opens up a whooooole new realm of possibilities. I cannot wait for the next tournament Let's see Maxie's true power next!!!
Hoenn's true power series is so going to hype. Now we just have to do Brendan, May, Wally, Zinnia, Maxie and Archie, Juan, and the elite 4 members. Maybe Lislia but she only have her mega Altaria. If I miss anyone in Hoenn, let me know.
Vito Winstrate! He's far from the strongest here, but the more the merrier! And I wanna see the Winstrate family's boasts about their strongest member be put to the ultimate test! I don't think Brendan AND May will end up in the tournament, since the NPC teams are identical. They'd have different starters at the most. The four Battle Chatelaines also have a Battle Maison in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and including them would make for a nice, even 32 trainers ... but they're probably going to end up in the Kalos Tournament, instead. That'll be a tiny one, even with all four of them in it, because most of the trainers in Kalos don't have teams of six even if you give them their anime Pokemon.
@@AHEM1313 the anime will be necessary for them though, the manga to maybe since their so weak. Only diantha, serena/calem and the maison sisters have 6 mons. Thats only 6 trainers
I've had emerald since it first came out and I can't lie I never delved deeply into the battle frontier. No idea why. Need to change that. As a kid team building was my main love pokemon wise. I need to go back and beat the things I haven't here and there in old games haha
I must confess I haven't been watching the Johto challenges as much as I thought I would (for which I am sorry), but I think it is due to me not having a very deep connection with those trainers. Leafgreen was my first game, and after that I got Sapphire and I didn't play gen 2 or 4 until a long time after that. The trainers from Hoenn might be the ones closest to my heart, so I'm insanely hyped to see them battle each other!
I was wondering if you’d actually include Battle Frontier brains, AND YOU ACTUALLY DID! It’s gonna be amazing to see them fight against the Hoenn Gym Leaders & Elite Four members. YOU ARE AMAZING SILPHSPECTRE
