I would imagine the offspring of the celestial dragons + commoners would = holy knights, guards, servants etc. Royal enough to live there but not pure enough to be one of them
I’m starting to think Celestial Dragons don’t even breed offspring. They stopped breeding hundreds of years ago, and found ways to live incredibly long (the bubbles of air they wear)
I think that the punishment for the Celestial Dragons for some major arguements they have would be just to apologise. Since they have so much pride they'd see it as something extremely terrible.
Admitting you're wrong means you're less godly so it would be a great punishment for general Celestial Dragons. I don't think they can forcibly strip someone of their status as it would mean that, without their power structure, they are inherently human and that wouldn't be an allowable ideology. The most they can probably do is a public shunning and stripping of items, however execution might be possible but only in secret or if they forge evidence that they're not a true celestial dragon. I think that's why they sent assassins after Doflamingo because the world government couldn't let it be known that a Celestial Dragon, even if stripped of status, can be executed by the government. Both the commoners and other Celestial Dragons would question the validity of the World Government. Sorry, kinda ranted.

theory: doflamingo knows what the treasure is because he and/or his family were candidates for replacing a member of the gorosei once one passes. Perhaps he learned about it during some sort of education process, or just by accident somehow from being closer to them than the other world nobles.

I forgot his name but , it would be so awesome for the reformed celestial dragon to start up a war between the other tenryubito . I could see this scene where he grabs a tresponder snail and yells to the commoners of the world that they do t have to suffer under the tenryubito and can fight back .
I could see the children of Celestial Dragons being given roles such as becoming Holy Knights or taking on a more steward role that they wouldn't entrust slaves to handle. Being considered Celestial Dragons though I could see other more 'keep the bloodline pure' type nobles looking down on them.
Talking about going back, I got my sister to continue watching one piece (we stopped for a looong time, pre timeskip, I kept reading the manga) and in punk hazard you have a lot of scenes showing great character development. Caesar is really strong, just not a fighter and the scene where kinemon mindlessly attacked the green dragons corpse speaks volumes, considering he just got sent from the past.
It would make more sense that the celestial dragons would pick the best slaves to fight and decide whose right. Also the fact that they have "police" and a court system might imply some sort of crime or underhanded behavior?
You could make one piece pokemon play as a celestial dragon order criminals the marines and slaves, to fight for you against different dragons doing the same thing.

@@OblivionNova479 just because he comes back doesn't mean he has to do something he could just be freed or shown. I think being freed by other humans could give him a change of heart or something. Then works to free the other slaves giving him a lil redemption.
I feel like the most impactful punishment that a Celestial Dragon could receive would honestly probably be stripping them of their status. I just dont think that the death penalty exists for them for crimes they commit as a CD. Once they no longer acknowledge you as one of them however, you are subject to anything from slavery to death to prison.
If alabasta is the only place who didn’t stay with the other celestial dragons. And there’s a secret king/queen on the empty throne, could they person be the original ruler of alabasta? Then they make a new ruling line like they did for everywhere else and just let people think they went back to alabasta. Keeps them hidden from both the regular world and the world nobles.
This actually is a really good theory, it also might explain why Im took an interest on Vivi as she saw her past self. Also this bugs me the most so ill just throw it out here, we know that Alabasta was once an allied nation to the ancient kingdom due to them having a poneglyff which means they were allied long before the war even begun. Alabasta being included as one of the 20 kingdoms who fought Joyboy indicates that somewhere along the lines, alabasta betrayed Joyboy
Ever since I heard of Doflamingo's plan with the op-op fruit and the existence of Im, I kinda thought that he wanted to use the personality switching surgery to get Im's body and power. (Plus immortality after). He does mention that ability in his speech about the treasure and the fruit.
Prety sure that wouldn't work, because of Haki. Law was unable to affect BigMom and Kaido, so i doubt it would work on Imu, which i presume is very powerful, with Haki and all.

I agree with mat that there would be “duels” between celestial dragons to settle disputes. However they would probably do something like “Whoever can shoot the other’s slave the fastest wins the argument” and if this was true, it would make some sense why Charlos would randomly shoot people as practice for settling disputes, also why celestial dragons have so many slaves
I always sorta wondered how strong a Celestrial Dragon could get if they were actually interested in training and combat. It seems like the best haki-users are always free spirits or opposed to the government in one way or another, but there should still be someone around who can teach armament and observation. Between that and six paths, and (most importantly) the full might of the world economy and it's R&D department, I figure one could at least be Yonko Commander level if they put their mind to it.
Not really. Strong Haki users are people who are most motivated to achieve whatever it is their goal is. It just happens that they mostly are Pirates, which are generally free spirits. So if the celestial Dragons were to be ousted from power, they would probably be highly motivated to gain power back, causing a select few to be Yonko level or even more, while whatever leaders are in charge would become weaker
In One Piece strength comes from adversity, overcoming the odds... who would provide that sort of challenge to them? Who would dare spar with a celestial dragon? Even if one wanted to get stronger they would only be given the illusion of strength as no-one would be willing to make them actually work hard enough. At least, not if they're not excommunicated or can convince a pirate slave they actually want to take the system down I guess?
Thoughts. 1. Given the standard Charloss set for how Celestial Dragons act, I would not be surprised if their version of "punishment" involved limiting and/or removing their access to some of the MANY luxuries they live in. 2. Did any "One Piece" related media establish a time frame for how long Celestial Dragons like Charloss have been forcing civilians into their version of "marriage"? If not, then I could see it being a relatively new trend that only started after Vegapunk started working for them. His work with "Lineage Factor" creates a possibility to give Celestial Dragons a degree of control over what traits pass over to the "children" they conceive. That would allow them to keep their bloodline "pure", even if the conception involved someone not born among Celestial Dragons.
Myulsguard should be able to defend himself easily. Shirahoshi and all of the others where invited to the holy land, and so granted permission to enter. So when charlos tryed to put is hands on shirahoshi, charlos might have insulted the the one who invited shirahoshi as a guest. Myulsguard could have tryed to defend this honour in a way, making him kind of in the right, not for defending shirahoshi but for defending the gorosei’s honour.
Well if it was an actual fair trial than yes that defense would work fine for Mjosgard but i highly doubt it will be fair. The other celestial dragon's already don't like him and treat him as a outcast. So they will probably bend the rules to kick him out of the Holy Land and just get rid of him

One reason why they may not want to take away the status and let them free in the lower world is because of what the former CD may know and the fact that he/she could use that to conspire against them. They allow Doflamingo to do anything he want as if he still had Celestial Dragon status is because he knows a lot of things, and using those knowledge of dark secrets to blackmail them all.

It seems even ranks in different families. Homing was of a high enough status that his child was able to come across the world government secrets. I don't think every one of the adults would have access to that information.
The Holy Knights might be something I've wanted to see from the Celestial Dragons for a long time; members of their group that might actually pose a threat. They can do anything they want, wouldn't it make sense that some of the choose to be the best fighters/weapon masters/Haki users/Devil Fruit users? And these particular individuals eventually made a group that serves a more important role in Celestial Dragon society.
Mjosgard is Celestrial Dragon so he probably knows many secrets, probably know about Im and as he is Donquixote he probably have same knowledge as Doflamingo have or even grater as he stayed there longer. so if he was to be thrown out who knows what intel he may release, let's not forget that doflamingo was kept "safe" mainly by what he known. It is possible that doflamingo have insurance somewhere or that Mjosgard now made one to be released in the event he "dies in unfortunate falling castle wall accident" right when he was standing next it.
What if The Holy Knights are made up of the bastard kids of the Celestial Dragons? Like they can't inherit anything so only way to stay in the realm of the gods is to serve as part of the Knights or be a butler/assistant.

Basically, they can be "high tier" slaves, that personally assist them. And based on the Boa sisters deep trauma, that heavily implied the R word to be a thing and if they are about preserving the pure bloodline, I see 3 options: * These harem members can be surgically intervened to impede breeding upon being chosen as part of the harem of slaves. * In case they do have kids with them, these kids can be these butlers and staff that follows them around, that have been raised within the city walls as a second cast, effectively brainwashed since birth, so they serve willingly, but also spared from the brutality regular slaves do get. * The kids are returned to the "lower realm" once they dispose of the other parent.
I doubt the series would go down this route but if the Celestial dragons were "trying to keep the bloodlines pure" maybe that's why Vegapunk was investigating the lineage factor or why they captured him after catching wind that he was.
I feel like the WG or maregoise is gonna have a lot of op df and just dozens and dozens of df users who are really strong and have just ridiculous op powers. Like if you think about it, the celestial dragons gave boa and her sisters 3 df just for laughs. I assume they have a process or secret that allows them to acquire so many df. They might not use them themselves but I assume they got knights who have world famous df.
Though historically "slave" could mean a lot of things. In ancient Rome a lot of slaves were educated and did skilled work. Another large number of slaves were house slaves for middle class families who were usually treated quite well.
Personal theory Charlose at this point is one of the many punching bags of One Piece, every encounter he gets the snot beaten out of him and he just keeps getting madder and madder, especially at Luffy and others who’ve struck him. What if during the final battle at The red line when it’s all out war between the marines, Pirates, Revolutionaries. Luffy at some point meets him on the battlefield holding two devil fruits, Charlos declares he will finally kill he who would dare lay a hand of me with his bare hands…. And the idiot eats both of them, believing that his holy blood will protect him and allow him to use both powers.. He ends up exploding from them, and Luffy just says “huh, so that’s why you can’t eat two of them” and keeps on running to fight someone else.
I'd like to imagine there being 19 holy knights, 1 from each family. Maybe they're raised to be holy knights, maybe they're the oldest members of each family

If I remember correctly, with consanguineous marriages and their offspring, the birth defects are more prominent if the parents are siblings. Greatly reduced if they're cousins. And anything more removed than that has the same risk as a stranger. But, I do think that it might be like the Hyuga where there's a main family and branch family, both might have the same worldly power, but the main family is the figurehead and it's based off "blood purity" where the main head takes a spouse from the branch that is suitable. I'm also assuming that a Celestial Dragon-commoner child is a Celestial Dragon but designated more as a branch member. Or they have very effective birth control so that the Celestial Dragons have children when they choose to.
😳😳😳I just thought of this! What if the treasure Doflamingo was talking about is actually THE ONE PIECE! Because the Celestial Dragons are so terrified for it to be revealed. Just like how Whitebeard said that when someone finds that treasure the world will be turned upside down. Maybe Laughtale is only really where find out the hilarious story of Joy Boy and the Will of D. But the actual treasure said to be everything you can obtain in this world is under the Red Line or even in the vaults of Mary Geoise. Or maybe Laughtale is only where you find out that the true place where you find out the secrets of the world like the Will of D and the mystery behind the Void Century is actually in Mary Geoise. And the Celestial Dragons keep the treasure secure in the holy land due to them being the enemies of the D clan and not wanting any ”D” to find it. This would also relate to the story of Sanji finding the All Blue through the Red Line being destroyed and so creating the one sea which connects the four.

I wouldn't be surprised if the children of a Tenryubito and a commoner would be just trained to be the guards/knights of Mary Joa. I think the Tenryubito wouldn't allow simple commoners to be permanent in the holy city. You are either a slave aka a thing to them, or have at least some blood of the Tenyrubito in you. The Kingd of Revery and even those who meet the Gorosey are just temporry guests
I've always thought in relation to the Tenryubito, that they are mostly the descendants of Imu Samas pirate crew. Think about it. During the void century Imu could have been a Yonko so powerful that they managed to take over the world. His crew were installed as leaders known as the world nobles and hundred of years down the line, aside from Imu having lived that long due to the immortal surgery. The decendants of the original crew are the modern world nobles. It seems perfect. The hypocrisy would tear the Marines apart. Maybe that is what Roger found so funny at laugh tale. The truth that he wasnt the real pirate king because Imu is the real one hiding in the shadows and a prophecy that one even greater than himself would overthrow the Tenryubito and free the world.

Never understood how the Tenryuubito held power given how foolish they are until the 5 Elders were introduced. Still I questioned the reason for their existence. With Im and the recent chapter, I have a theory that the Ancient weapons can only be operated by the progeny of the 20 families, either by sacrifice or blood and the Elders and Im protect(farm) the Tenryuubito.
Here’s a question I only thought of towards the end… so any of the families mix? I ask because we still say 19 families… I wonder if there is something saying that the families must stay separate to avoid one super family ruling the rest? Just a thought

@@psychronia Agreed, apparently, they wear those bubbles and helmets to keep from breathing the same air as the people they look down upon. Given that they have no issue sharing air with their slaves when on the Red Line, it seems to be more of a mindset rather than a real need.
Would be interesting to see if there was a building company that profited off of celestial dragon requests, and when they asked for a budget the company would get paid 30x-120x what it would originally be spent to make the whole thing
