⚠️ATTENTION⚠️ If your skin has been damaged from retinol try the following: After washing face, use moisturizer while skin is still damp (pref one with hyaluronic acid), then get a can of full fat coconut milk. Apply coconut cream to your face. Allow cream to melt into your skin and leave it on. The moisture and fat will hydrate your damaged skin and help fill in fine lines. I do this every night and morning It has saved my skin that was nearly ruined from retinol. I hope this helps someone. God bless ✝️ Jesus is King
I use it 5 times a week , so good, some people do not know is Retinol reacts with sun, so the better is apply it by night, the one I use for my facials are the ones sold as diet supplement.
THIS BY FAR HAS BEEN THE MOST HELPFUL VIDEO ABOUT RETINOL! IVE BEEN USING IT WRONG AS MY FACE BECOME FLAKY. SHE MENTIONED IT. I SHOULDVE GONE FOR 2-3x A WEEK. will try to do it again with 2x a week now.
A week ago, every other night, I've started applying retinol serum (CeraVe which contains 0.3% retinol) and each time I experiences severe headache in the morning. Thats a bummer!!! Am I the only one?
Thank you I needed help so bad I’m like what is going on with my skin why is this happening and I get it I kind of figured that was a problem but thank you for confirming. Why the hell didn’t I do this sooner???
Been using retinol from high street so not too strong-for about eight years...suddenly I have break outs really awful and not sure why!haven't changed my diet..Any Ideas please...I have of course stopped using it..
Hi, when trying retinol, during trial period is it ok to continue my daily routine on other days ?( the days that I don’t try retinol) I have a oily skin, so I normally use lactic acid, alpha arbutin, etc. so is it ok to use it even the retinol trial period is purging???
does retinal make your skin worse before it gets better? my doctor told me that but in the videos i’ve seen they haven’t said anything about that. thanks!
That happens with most people while your skin is adjusting to it! You may experience a purging period (some acne) that lasts a few weeks and your skin does get dry, red, and flaky for the first month or two. I definitely feel that it’s worth it though!
@@Aioli9 That's exactly what's been happening with me. I'm turning 25 tomorrow and I started using 0.5% retinol once a week since about a month ago. I only noticed about 2-3 weeks in that I've started getting red, dry and flakey skin around my cheeks, this is the dryest they have ever been. Usually regular moisturisers work for me but this time the morning after applying some(moisturiser) to my dry skin, it was still so dry/flakey yet again! I'll definitely keep using my retinol serum and hopefully by the time it runs out I'll have seen some improvement. Fingers crossed!
@Poorva Sood tbh my skin still gets dry and reddish on occasion but it's never too bad. I think so long as you keep up a skin care routine and make sure to moisturise daily you should be fine. I haven't yet seen any crazy differences in my skin but I think the retinol has helped a little with some pigmentation. Then again it has only been nearly 3 months and they say for you to see noticeable differences, it could take up to 6.
I am scared coz i started with 1%retinol becoz my skin is oily and acne prone.I've experienced purging after 2 days of using it which lasted for a week or so.Used it once a week in the first week and now twice a week.purging has become significantly less and i can see my dark spots fading, hyperpigmention is lightening as well.Small wrinkles are fading. But the thing is i am experiencing mild burning sensation the follwing day after i used the retinol at night mostly under my eyes eventhough i am not applying under my eyes.Is it ok to continue or should i tone it down to once a week again?someone who is using retinol, please help me.Also how am i seeing the results so fast??I was using salicylic acid 2% and niacinamide 10% since a year for my oily and acne prone skin but i've not seen such drastic results with them.
Hi,I've read it can cause purging at first as it is helping skin turnover and with that brings deep down breakouts to suffice faster and the fertility thing is more when pregnant,it's because no studies to say for sure dosent effect baby
@@no_name2136 I bot sure but as far as I no there's no issue before getting pregnant, it's just if pregnant and because everything we use goes into out bloodstream they aren't sure if it can affect the baby, but I'd say ask a doctor if thinking of using if you are pregnant, I think there's no studies as most likely no pregnant woman would risk a trial ,hope this helps
