I am really enjoying seeing the new Arsenal with regard transfers. As much as I loved Wenger, he had a major problem in that if he took out the cheque book, he always seemed to lose the pen. Deals only seemed to be done at the 12th hour every season, which is in vast contrast to what we see with Arteta and Edu where deals are being done early, giving new players time to settle before the season even starts. We saw this last year too. Now before anyone says it, yes, I am aware that Wenger had limited funds due to the debt on the new stadium, however, if anyone believes that he did not know what budget he had before the transfer season even started, think again. He knew what he could spend but it still took forever to sign anyone.
