Transfer students! If you are feeling this, you are not alone. College is difficult to navigate and being a transfer comes with additional struggles. #SHORTS
omg I transferred to USC from a CC as well! I seriously felt like that my whole first semester there! thank you for sharing this! super accurate and relatable :))
all universities have different transfer credit guidelines, but for the most part in my experience, I've been taking courses that I know will transfer for credit to my university!
This happened to me transferring from a City College to a Prestigious University ....A world of a difference!!!!! I went from being surrounded by unmotivated-bored students hanging out in class to super-prodigies already working on projects at the industry level
I can reassure you that transferring isn't a horrible thing because from my experience it was the BEST decision I've ever made. There are struggles such as feeling the imposter syndrome but ultimately it's really about your mindset and how you respond to it! If I could leave you with something, I want you to know that challenges are inevitable but being defeated is optional. :) The struggle is part of the process and it makes us more knowledgeable and experienced dealing with the unknowns that life throws at us.
@@joannerenigen430 honestly those are the people who you should stay away from... you want people who are going to make you better. Not drag you in the dirt. Stay with the REAL LEADERS, not the punks.
@@novaparks319 occasional feeling of imposter syndrome and there's a bunch of people who do so much, but i try to reassure myself that im okay doing what i can and am actually interested in! and no it's not vb :)
@@michaelterrell5061 it's easy and common to feel inadequate, but i try to invest my energy into what i can and am actually interested in. feels like im still adjusting after 1 year, but doing alright tho.
This is specially true in a CS major. Not many know that most freshman cs majors already know how to code prior to taking their first class. I mean you can catch up if u don’t have prior experience but it can be intimidating if your classmates are a mile ahead.
You did! You saved money and got in some experience in college. You are at the right place for YOU, don't ever compare yourself to others. And relish in the fact that you saved thousands of dollars ;-)
I’m transferring this fall and I’m so excited! Saved lots of money and get to have an awesome experience in both colleges I’ve attended till now and in the future! You do what you know is right for you and your education and future!! Good luck everyone 🎉
"that kid who knows everything on the first day of class" 😂 *Imposter syndrome kicking in* Phew. Thought that was just me. But seriously who the fawk knows everything about Strength of Materials on the first day without retredding?! MAN that chic scarred me🙄 Haha
So I transferred in high school, I transferred in college, and now I plan to transfer in law school. I am a social person so I just talked to people and joined extracurriculars and sports teams and started making friends. Tbh transferring is scary, but you have your goals and so just work hard to accomplish those, write down deadlines and dates for assignments and just keep in mind what you are working towards. It's worth it at the end 😅😂
Wow that's alot, I'm trying to be like that🤞🏻 honestly I wanna join in sports and clubs and be social and I wanna go to law school. But I feel like I'm too stupid 😭
Second year into my small town college and It’s been so hard to connect with anyone. I think the problem is my school also I’m the only Asian in my classes. It’s starting to dwell on me. I’m thinking of transferring somewhere more diverse in culture. I grew up in the city before and I never had trouble making friends
Dawg I'm scared went from being in CC for liberal arts because I didn't know wtf I want to do for 3 years to transferring to Texas state for public administration
ok, so this is definitely relatable but at my cc, i remember seeing that kid that knows everything on the first day and after getting over my initial admiration (and jealousy) i started studying what he did and now i became that kid and it’s surprising to me how quickly you lose that imposter syndrome when you can become THAT kid
Hey sister i am currently in my second semester of degree in my home country but I want to change my degree and want to apply for us universities and from poor family how to do this guide me
Lol I’m pretty sure she’s just using it as a little example. Doubt she was actually going into a uni class at some point and was asked what the quadratic formula was.
This is why I’m so glad I go to a satellite campus. Look up the universities at shady grove to learn more. More states should have these if they don’t already
