Yes, please do continue. I really like the format and think it's a great way for Bennetts to interact with the community. Even if none are chosen, I think you do a fantastic job of showing the potential in other rides. It's a great education for newer and intermediate riders.
Would have told her to keep her current bike and get through her test as only has two years from passing her theory to do it. Then put her money towards one of the new 400s like the Triumph Speed 400
@@MrVulcan1963 Completely agree, buying another 125 isn't really progress and a bigger bike will be easier to ride. Saw yer money and do a DAS course, then there is so much more choice.
Thank you, this is my favourite episode so far. As a small woman myself and a beginner this was hugely relevant. So far I have ridden an assortment of bikes and scooters. Because of my height the Honda Vision has been the one that I sat on and immediately felt comfortable and had a lot of fun. I've never considered a Van Van but will give it a try now. Also the AJS 125s which aren't easy to get. Brilliant episode 😊
Love this series , but this challenge was difficult. I did feel Lisa needs to pass her test and put her money towards something between a 350 - 500cc machine.
I mean 5 years on a 125 is a long time but it is all about confidence and if she's normally been on the back of someone else's bike and not had much road time to herself, I can understand that apprehension of going to a bigger bike really quick. We all had to start somewhere and we're not all the same.
@@MrMichaelConstantine Thanks for your comment, you are incorrect, you definitley can sit on the bikes! You'll see on the signs it says to ask a member of staff first so we can pull the bike out for you. However, we will be changing this messaging in the future so it's really clear that you are of course allowed to try the bike out for size! As for test rides, as you can imagine it's logistically challenging as we house over 3,000 motorbikes and each bike would need to go through a full inspection after each ride, which puts immense pressure on our workshop - we do however provide a 14-day money back guarantee. This allows you to thoroughly evaluate the motorbike in your own time and return it within 14 days of purchase if it doesn’t meet your expectations. Thanks! Team SBF

Yeah, being unable to get test rides is a pain in the backside, and not only for CBT riders. I got my full A licence via DAS at the Honda-approved riding school attached to my local Honda dealership. Chuffed to bits, I popped into the dealership and asked to test-ride the CB500F I was interested in: nope, no test rides until I’ve had a licence for a full 12 months. Spending 20 hours riding one of their CB650Rs without incident, and having two DVSA examiners approve of my proficiency, isn’t enough for their insurers, apparently. What exactly is the point, Honda? I could’ve been a life long customer. My local Kawasaki/Suzuki/Piaggio Group dealer were more than happy to let me ride stuff if accompanied. Guess who got my money?
Even with 10 months of experience and ten thousand miles, turning up to the dealer on a bigger, faster bike and bmw were the only ones to let me test, so f900r over an mt09 for the second bike!
Having a licence 12months, means nothing if someone hasn't ridden since passing test, you fresh from test would be a better bet for me. Test rides needed, before purchase I reckon
Like have previously said on other episodes, this is by far my favourite show on RU-vid. You guys are awesome and have fantastic chemistry. It’s terrific to watch normal people throw a leg over so many different bikes. Please come to Australia 🇦🇺 Keep making these episodes!!! Ride safe lads.
I love this as a series. Can’t wait for the next one. I would love to take part in the next series. I need to decide if I am going to change my steed. Well done to everyone involved!!
that little gsxr is my training bike for the kart track!! killer machine. we get the 150 version here in asia, but it's soooo good, especially the money. super flickable and fun
I’ve loved both seasons gents. Please go cap in hand to the bosses for another season. It’s great to see such a variety of bikes and hear opinions from members of the biking public 👍
WBN is a great series, and deserves to continue. I don't believe it really matters whether one of the three bikes is chosen or not. What makes it special is the banter, the interaction with riders, and getting the average person's view of a wide selection of bikes. Oh, and Michael and Simon shine.
I went to the MK store because of this series, and I was seen by Mike, really good experience and will be back, great place to shop and Mikes advice was excellent

This has been one of my favourite WBN. Soon as she saw the Gixer her eyes lit up. Bit more riding and can envisage her being okay with taller seats. Some extra lessons may help.
RU-vid is a much better place for having this series. It’s very hard to get someone to buy a bike that they haven’t chosen but this program has been very entertaining. Well done
Another great series chaps! Looking forward to another one if the budget permits! The various guests & 3rd mystery selectors have all contributed greatly. The main stayers are fantastic & dedicate their time & energy to make this series great viewing! Well done Bennetts!
I like this format you get an immediate honest opinion not that I don't like journalists opinions it's just good to get a "normal person's " opinion once in a while, keep up the good work folks 👍
I actually think that the fact that guests don't feel obligated to choose a bike at the end of the episode speaks to the genuineness of the show. I think of the episodes as educational for those who are looking to buy a new bike either as a seasoned rider or an absolute beginner. It teaches people what they might want to consider themselves in their search. So yeah I would love to see a series 3!
Yeah keep it going. As a newer rider, I don't have a lot of context for bikes, there many more out there I've never heard of than I can picture in my head. This is a great way to explore that massive portfolio of bikes. In terms of improvements, if you could go in to the pros and cons a little more, and communicate the differences between the bikes a bit more clearly, including what's a quirk for a particular bike vs a trend for a brand or deliberate design choice, that would be ace. Obviously I'm only 1 viewer, but that's how I feel.
Biking highlight of my week, so please, please, please keep 'em coming. This RU-vid channel is the reason I have my insurance with Bennetts, despite having a cheaper quote from some other insurer. 💚
Cool to see Simon address the importance of letting people actually ride the bikes you're trying to sell them, especially after all the complaints in the comments about the very retailer they're collaborating with. I'm in Belgium and at least for new big bikes the demo ride situation has improved a lot in the past few years. The importers for the big 4 Japanese brands do these demo/promo tours where they bring the same Benelux demo fleet to a string of dealerships and you can get a 30 minute tour on one or two bikes there no strings attached. Don't even need to state any intention to buy one in the near future or whatever, which ironically is exactly the sort of thing that makes me want to do business with them over the brands that are playing hard to get. Shows confidence in their products, too.
yes please do continue, id love to see her come back on the show next year and try some 400 type bikes if she passes her test, thatd be awesome to see her journey
Very well done, too right you are coming back again and again, would not miss one of your episodes for anything! Had you been brave and gone against her sort of anti-cruiser thing you might well of cracked it!
Please do continue if at all possible. I've seen every episode of this series and it's been a lot of fun. It really doesn't matter if they don't commit to a bike then and there. As mentioned previously, this is the motorbike equivalent of Location, Location, Location.
More please - I really enjoy riding along with 3 different motorcycles each episode. And, meeting the riders you are working with is so very interesting. Come back soon, with more great content.
Yes please continue. Was great to see a 125 ride out to see new riders get on bikes. As you said, be good to see more manufacturers allow riders test bikes, including 125’s. Great show again.
yes please make more. Nice to cover some 125cc's as its good for anyone looking to get into biking. Maybe going forward, the rider could pick one bike (that they think they like), you guys chose bike and then a wild card. Might be less going off the think about it that way. Free Bennetts insurance for a year could be a good move to sway people to buy? I agree with being able to try bikes is really hard. No one wants to let you try before you buy, so you have to make a decision by sitting on it or looking a video reviews. Open day with lots of bikes to try on a limited route etc would be great.
What a great episode. Good on ya for pointing out the issue with getting demo rides on 125s. I'm not on the superbike factory's naughty list, as I only watched this episode and didn't touch anything. Thanks for the lovely season, and hopefully the bosses approve season 3. Dear bosses, please approve season 3.
More please enjoyable series , the Suzuki van van would of been my choice looks to be a better bike for learning on GSX too uncomfortable after a few miles , well would be for me 😊
WBN has been good so far. It can feel a little strung out sometimes as though there is more talking than riding (not having a dig - just pointing out the layout is more talking biased) and some on bike footage would be great if possible. A good look around the bikes and hearing them would be nice too. May I suggest a spin-off too - what mod next? Bennetts (on my policy at least) offer upto 10 "common" modifications free of charge. It would be nice to see examples of those modifications such as levers, a can, luggage or a screen with some pointers on how to make sure they are legal and safe along with fitting tips or things like that. Not needed by me personally but I feel like some guidance for newer riders would be great. It may be something to section in to WBN rather than being its own thing but when you suggest a bike which would need a screen it would be great to see that happen.
I have a CB125R. It's awesome and I absolutely love it. It isn't cheap - but there'll be some good second hand ones about. I've had mine for 3 years and have passed my L1 licence so I'm no longer on L plates. Just need to get the money together for a big girl's licence. Ride mine every day to commute.
As I watched this I was thinking “just get more experience and do your test!”. Opens up so much choice. As Lisa enjoyed the comfier riding position and wants something sporty and fun, maybe a lowered KTM 390 Duke? Seem to be universally loved by all who try them.
That was a really good episode. I like that you are addressing the needs of the 125cc community. Well done! What if you are 6' 2" and need a bigger 125cc? Can you get a restriction kit for say a 250cc?
I’ve got a full licence but currently got a couple of 125’s on the road ideal cross town commuters super cheap to run and great fun thrashing round not really worrying about getting into to much trouble.
I liked the nod to the Superlight. Mine taught me as much about basic maintenance as it did to ride. An empty road and a simple toolkit, I feel I could fix any small problem roadside. And that gives me the confidence to explore those lanes
Such a great episode! This is my current favorite motorcycle show on youtube.. comparing to cycleworld, revzilla, bikeworld, mcn even. I so want someone to pick one of the bikes one day. I had high hopes for the Suzuki.
I've really enjoyed watching these programs. I wanted to suggest that the participant should choose one bike as well so test 4 bikes instead of 3 but great content and a great format
First of all, OF COURSE you have to make another season of this, it's a great series. Now, about Lisa. Due to the nature of the segment, there isn't enough variation in bike specs to be had and as such not much variation in things able to do either. Basically all of them are commuter bikes. Thus I find it better getting something comfortable and easy to ride (like she felt on the VanVan) and get acquainted with biking as a whole. Variation and variety can come later, when they will be much better appreciated as well, since you get to stop thinking about riding and just ride. For someone looking to get seriously into it, 125cc is just a necessary but brief step
Am not a BikeSocial member (but have had Bennetts insurance in the past!). I would be up for breaking the series' cruiser 'cherry'. Currently ride an R850R - the German's H-D Sportster? If interested, give me a couple of month's membership and I'll come. Nice to see a 125 episode, would really like to see a cruiser/custom one - they've a place on here.
