BreyerFest '23 is this weekend and I can hardly believe it! This summer has flown by so this variation speculation video is a bit late, but I hope you enjoy imaging possible variations within the SRs along with me!

What a fun speculation vid! Thanks for sharing :). I LOVED the cobalt blue horse you mentioned at one point. Being an online only participant, I'm not sure what to wish for because I have limited access to the SRs and if there's something cool in them, they're going to shoot up in price immediately.

You're right: initial prices on SRs are sky-high because of the "gimme" factor. I'm online only too--I have a friend getting me a couple things at the park--but I plan to wait out prices a bit and hopefully add some more models to the collection a little later. Thank you! I'm excited to see what they do too. We're so close to the first reveals!! I won't be there in person (I have a friend doing pick-ups for me), but I'll be streaming as much as possible and combing the groups to see what comes out of the SRs! I hope to go in person one day ❤

Loved this video!! I would love a braided Jump and Drive, but I'd be equally as thrilled with a braided Wells. The Araba in palomino is gorgeous ... I'd love that, too! :)

The Wixom model is one of my absolute favorites, and I've been waiting YEARS for her to be the Surprise Model. I pray it will be a year I have money, and this year ain't it. But I think it's out as the Surprise this year cause of Brunhilde and the Birds of a Feather? I don't care about anything else. Great video! XD

Wixom is a cutie! She'd make a really fun Surprise one day. She wouldn't technically be out this year, since Brunhilde and Puffin were both 2021. If a mold is used for a release from January 01 up until that same year's BreyerFest, that's when it wouldn't be a Surprise. :) Thanks so much for watching! Have a happy 'fest weekend!

I'm so excited for this weekend!! 🎉🎉😁😁😁 And I love this video! (I love all of your videos, but that's beside the point 😂) I got 2 J&Ds and 2 Speos because if there's a variation, I gotta have it! Part of me is hoping one of them doesn't have a variation so I can trade for a Surrey & Axel 💜

Oh my gosh SAME. We couldn't afford Breyer when I was little, and I promised myself once I was older I'd buy my own "big black horse." Well, Bear was the first "big black horse" I bought myself once I could manage, and then Bluegrass shortly after, and more and more BGB friends since. My favorite part about her is that she's a collaboration between two of my favorite Breyer artists. ❤ If not this weekend, I hope we get a new release on her soon!

I would love a Speos matte/gloss split! ❤ I don't think any other splits would make any of the models hold greater interest to me. My tickets are for Speos, Peanutine, and 2 Surprises, and the only other SR I'm currently interested in pursuing is Axle...shouldn't be too hard as I imagine the LP will be more popular and finding a set to split felt like an easier option than buying another ticket for a chance at the pair.

Love your videos, Candace! Alas, I cannot make it to KY, so I’ll be ‘festing virtually. I didn’t get a ticket in time to rank my choices, so it’ll be a total surprise for my assigned SR. I’m sure hoping for the Stagecoach or Wells. I’d be over the moon if they use the walking TB - one of my favorite molds. I think Araba will be the color split as well, but I’m really wondering what. We’ve already got the LE Studebaker as a very metallic/shiny palomino pinto 🤔The speculation is half the fun lol!

Thank you so much! I'll be 'festing virtually too; I'm so sad to not make it in person but luckily have a friend willing to pick up models for me with my tickets. I also will get a Surprise SR--which I'm so grateful for--and hope I get Araba. I didn't think of her as a chestnut because we've got Speos, but *totally* forgot about Studebaker! Oops! 😂 That scenario is also pretty close to Marzipan from last year, so I really wonder if we don't get a color split and instead this year is matte/glossy and mane/tail. Hmm. Speculating beforehand IS half the fun, and then combing the internet for first reveals on Friday is thrilling! Haha. Have a happy BreyerFest weekend! Let me know which SR you get!

What do you think of the Schleich horses (can you even get them in the US)?

I love Schleich! I love that they are intentionally created "simply" for younger collectors and a more affordable price. And they're so itty bitty! We do get them in the US, yes, but I think we're missing out on some neat international releases. So far I don't have too many, but I'd love to get more. I just picked up a little Schleich Galloway cow-- SO CUTE! If you haven't heard it, I recommend The Mares in Black podcast episode 103 with Vincent Lange, who has sculpted for Schleich.
