Amazing ideas on how to use old pc motherboard parts. I follow your RU-vid channel since 2018 and already made several projects that are working very well. Congratulations and please don't stop making thinks like these. As an amateur radio operator I say best regards and 73 from PU2PLL Fernando, Brazil.

I've only recently really sat down to understand DIY circuitry & of the countless credited DIY RU-vidrs who offer varying levels of explanation yours are efficiently formatted, easy to understand & thorough. Thank You!

for about 5yrs I've been using old motherboards & all kinds of circuit boards to make collages. Working in healthcare IT I have almost unlimited access to old PC's/electronics. The small circuit boards in hard drives are great, and I've found all kinds of uses for the magnets they contain.

I've just found your channel a like the idea of recycling parts. I've subscribed.
@andrew_koala2974

I have subscribed. Writing I've subscribed indicates your propensity to 'Metal Laziness' When you start letting little things slip, it does not take long to let the bigger thing slop. As an Engineer, I would not employ anyone who exhibits mental laziness and failure to pay attention to detail. These attributes are critical to Engineering. Better that you reprogram yourself from the social laziness virus. It will ultimately get you killed, as you become less and less observant over time.

Thank you! These are great ideas! Perhaps you can consider this idea for a build: An adjustable isolated DC-DC (step up converter) from 12VDC to 22VDC Max 5A (instead of 5vdc at 2amp). The example would be for a laptop charger adapter from a cars 12V. Love your videos!

I've used both PCBway and JLCPCB. JLC is cheaper, but I like the feel and look of PCBway more. If I were going to give a gift, then I'd use PCBway. For my own use, JLCPCB.

Electronics is one of the subject that I hate the most during study. But I love to watch your video. Your voice so calm. The way you teach is details and more practical. Your idea to use old motherboard to study was a great idea instead of study with schematic diagram and text theory only.

had a really silly idea from the first idea of your's, the dc to dc step down car power adapter. lets say i have an archaic 40v 20A dc adapter which used to power an analog sound analyzer/digitalizer for a 800w studio speaker/monitor system, could i have multiple modules running from one input given i make a divider/bridging circuits to divide the 40v output into 8 5v relays that then will power these 5v phone/universal chargers? the input amperage is true 20A dc cc supply so its just sitting and being wasted. many of my attempts to turn the adapter into variable or modular/modern power outputs fail because it burns through the control/limiter circuits. but if i have 8 high power outputs modules running out there will be a good change it wont damage them, and modern life has 20 gadgets but manufactures dont want to give us chargers anymore only cables haha. if my idea is feasible please reply and even if its not suggestion from an electronics veteran like you would help me a lot about what to do with the monstrous 40v dc adapter. i have more old super power adapters from sound systems too soi will be grateful for your feedback. THanks!

I was looking for something to serve me coffee in the morning and this video came up in my recommendations! xD 03:29 Videos like these are great! While the average "consumer" doesn't think twice about throwing perfectly good components in the trash, there are plenty of people around the world that see great value in salvaging perfectly good components to create something useful or "new". Thank you for posting such a useful video! I made sure to subscribe!

Take an old motherboard, (with cpu and memory) and turn it into a drive repair computer. Spinrite is what I use and it requires your computer to boot and run Spinrite. Using and old motherboard means you can fix drive problems and use your main computer at the same time.
