Ren hears music differently than most artists. He can take two seemingly different songs from different times in music and not just play them extremely well, but also meld them together so they are one. As far as what you’re saying about the “message in a bottle” riff, he plays that instead of the original chords for the second verse. He than brings tge “let it go” back under the message in a bottle section. It’s absolute genius.

Always so nice to watch you bring Danny deeper down the Ren rabbit hole ❤🐰🕳️ Edit: posted before the ending, so had to come back to say that I don’t think Ren actually took any time off as such when the album dropped. I seem to recall some Instagram reels that same weekend where he was playing around with what seemed to be a Love Music 5. Ren has no chill 😂 Like he did take some time to spend with friends and travel a bit, but otherwise I think Ren only takes breaks when his health demands it. And I imagine a few creative ideas are still trying to make it through the brain fog even then 😅
