A startup in Uganda is seeking to turn the “worthless” part of the staple banana, locally known as Matooke into a gem - produce textiles, create jobs, protect the environment, and provide the country’s young population with entrepreneurial skills while expanding the crop’s commercial value.

I have seen videos about banana fiber hair extensions. Quite frankly it's very practical for ladies to get natural hair color extensions in Africa. As a former student of cosmetology I can understand why because I'm a big fan of braiding.
