Hello. I'm still working on the exact pacing I want to narrate my videos. I really prefer cutting to the chase, but I understand that it might be too fast. I'll continue providing a transcript of what I said in the pinned comment for now. Please note that timestamps to each topic in the video can be found in the description as well. --- Beginning of Transcript Hey everyone, this is an abridged version of the types of content you can explore after reaching level 50. This video doesn’t cover any nuanced details of any particular content or leveling in general. You can probably find another guide for those. You’ll reach level 50 shortly after arriving at North Vern. When Beatrice calls you to Trision after questing for a little, remember to play the song to visit her to get the quest needed in order to learn your ultimate skill, as well as your last class skill. This requires you to use an item for each of them, after you complete the quest. You can optionally continue questing at this point through this entire continent and the next one, Shushire, to receive a full set of item level 302 gear. Doing all these additional quests takes a few hours. You’ll have to raise your item level before you can proceed the story to Rohendel so the story ends here until you can. The moment you reach level 50, it opens up the main gameplay loop. Each day on each character, you can do three Epona missions, loot from two Chaos Dungeons, and loot from two Guardian Raids. There are a lot of different daily missions, and they're called Una's Tasks in game. Depending on which one you do, you can receive different kind of rewards. Additionally, each time you complete one, it progresses a ‘reputation’ that has one-time rewards. You can use alt characters to progress multiple reputations at once, but multiple characters doing the same exact daily mission will not raise it more than 10 points each day. Completing Epona missions earns you Epona points that gives you little badges that you can turn in for boxes of gold at an NPC. Having more alts doesn’t increase the amount of badges you get each week, but they will let you claim all your badges earlier in the week. Make sure to take weekly missions as well. For people who enjoy PVP, arena weekly missions give slightly better rewards. I recommend that your main character always takes missions that gives Leap Stones or Fragments, two vital materials used for upgrading that people often run out of. Chaos Dungeons are mobbing dungeons that you can do alone or in a group. It scales up the HP depending on party size. They’re very straightforward and any ARPG fan should be familiar with grouping up and clearing out packs of mobs. You can get normal loot twice per character per day from these, however if you keep doing more, you can get a special material that you can turn in to get a good number of additional materials, that has a weekly stock limit. You can also get tickets to enter a content called Cube Dungeon from your daily Chaos Dungeon runs, which offers Silver, upgrading mats, and engraving books, as well as a chunk of EXP. Guardian Raids are daily bosses. Recommended to do them in a group. You’re welcome to do these as many times as you want, but you can only get a decent amount of loot twice per day, which is called harvesting its soul in the game UI. Chaos Dungeon and Guardian Raid does scale to party size, so entering them alone does reduce the amount of HP that enemies have, but be mindful that alone, all enemy aggro will be focused on you, so you'll be spending more time dodging compared to being in a group. For daily missions, Chaos Dungeon, and Guardian Raid, there is a rest system in place. Not doing any of these activities fills up a gauge which makes it so that the next time you do any of them it provides double loot. This can be stockpiled up to 5 bars of double loot. Each activity has its own rest gauge. Your main goal is to upgrade the set that you obtain from either Shushire main quest or the Chaos Dungeon. By reaching the level needed to enter the Abyss Dungeon of Shushire and later on Rohendel, you can get materials to craft sets which you can directly transfer your current enhancements to without any loss in a process called succession. Abyss Raids are closer to traditional raids with more nuanced mechanics, multiple bosses, and no respawns during battle. They're completed weekly and must be completed in a full group. Besides for these, there are other dailies which are less important to do, and veer more towards optional. Affinity actions advance your relationship with different NPCs in the game, giving you additional rewards and it's necessary for one of the game’s collectibles, the Adventure Journal. Life skill energy is used to do gathering professions, which has a direct gold value. Not doing life skills means you won’t regenerate life skill energy, which can be considered a waste of gold. But it’s not crucial enough where if you hate life skills in MMOs you’re forced to do it. After you finish Shushire’s questline you can also complete the purple guide quest to receive your private island. The orange button in the center of your screen is a reminder that you have guide quests available, which tend to unlock something. If you’re planning on doing life skills, it’s important to begin development and research to unlock your crafting recipes. It’s also strongly advise that you join a guild as soon as you can. By joining a guild, you can start completing guild missions and daily check-in to earn Silmael Bloodstones, a guild currency used to purchase upgrading materials from the guild store. Guilds also compete in GVG in both PVE time attack and PVP each week. PVP is accessible the moment you arrive at the first major city Luterra which is around level 26 or 27. There’s a lot of really useful materials that you can purchase from the PVP vendor for upgrading with a weekly account stock limit. The bulk of your PVP currency will come from maintaining a high PVP level which is paid out at the start of each weekly reset. Once you’ve played enough PVP, maintaining your PVP level requires minimal upkeep each week. The Tower of Shadow is a one-time content that requires higher and higher item level the further you ascend it. You can complete it on any number of characters. Each floor rewards you with items. The first character you complete each floor on unlocks special account-wide rewards like skill points, runes, and permanent stat potions. Any subsequent character will be rewarded with bound upgrading materials. Each day, there are also unique daily activities. The include major world bosses, Chaos Gates, Ghost Ships, and Adventure Islands. With the exception of Ghost Ships, these activities can be done once per day that they're available. Some days there won't be a world boss, and other days a Chaos Gate won't appear. Adventure Islands give you a few choices depending on what kind of reward you want, whether it's gold, card packs, upgrading materials, or other useful things. An Adventure Island will not always provide the same reward, so it's important you check the UI. Also note on weekends, you can go to two different Adventure Islands at two separate blocks of time. Cooperative Sea Voyage Missions also appear throughout the day which has you partake in mini-games with your boat alongside other adventurers. Reward are special coins which are special coins which are used to buy certain collectibles or exchanged for Pirate Coins, a valuable commodity for buying extra materials and other useful things every week (per character). Lost Ark is a huge world, and there’s hundreds of things to collect from Island Hearts, to Giant’s Hearts, to Mokoko Seeds, and many more. It’s not just fluff either; many of these collectibles will reward you accordingly for your diligence, giving you things like Skill Points, runes, and other vital things needed to improve your character that you cannot obtain through any other means. All collectibles are server-wide, so you only need to do them once. Lastly, one of the parts of the game that Lost Ark prides itself on are the small stories told throughout the game's world. These often reward Island Hearts for completing the island's individual story or mini-game. Some will make you laugh, some will make you teary-eyed. It's something worth experiencing that you'll rarely find in an MMO nowadays. Yes thank you for your consideration - before I read your comment, I was thinking that it felt a little too fast. I use an extension to allow me to change the video speed to a finer specificity (5% speed increments rather than 25%). I felt that slowing it down to 90% helped me follow and understand it better. I feel that those who want to get through the video would use the speed toggle and/or skip around to the relevant sections (thank you for adding chapters btw). I suspect most people don't use the type of extension that I do to control video speeds, so a 75% speed would be... unlistenable? Anyways thats just my 2c, thank you again for the video.
@@TehBrownie This video is on the premise that the NA/EU game version build is after Korea's July 7th game build from what we saw on the community stream, so you should be able to PVP in the arena at the first city.
@@Saintone Be amazing if we can PVP at 26 and not forced to level to 50 just to test the PVP in the game. Not all of us have 12 hours free a week but would still like to experience parts of the game. Thanks for the quick reply and enjoyed the video

Great video, I wonder if you could make one talking about life skills, I really enjoy that content on other MMOs so would be nice to hear any tips or recommendations about how to handle them on Lost Ark
I really dislike, how much the amount of dungeons and raids, that you can do per day, are limited. I remember, how I did dozens of Nephalem Rifts in Diablo 3 per day, or just a lot of dungeons in WoW as well, with a decent chance of progressing my character every single time. Wish, this was the case here too.
I can't wait to get my hands on LA, I've been waiting since 2014 I think it was when I first saw the trailer. I've been hyped since. When we know the release date, I'll be taking a week of work, just to play this game
With all that to do I might even get away with not having an alt for a while... especially as I'll be needing to run around and gather all the bits to fill out the adventurer's tome... also as I'm having more fun in PvP than I thought I would so don't mind doing that for a while to rank up. It's not that I don't want alts, I do... but Pally is the only thing there on release I'll be into (and thankfully my main)... I want a warlord (tanky red build class engraving) and Bard (less annoying sounds) genderswaps before I play them, and that might be years away... interested in the new specialist if the first class in it is a support as rumoured, but that's not even properly announced yet... then others I've got a passing interest in despite not being supporty like Destroyer, Scouter (and maybe LM) aren't there either.
*island hearts are rewards for completing island story or minigames.* this is the explanation i've been looking for everywhere, and noone ever said it. just guides how to collect them and what rewards it gives. thanks
It's a little more varied than that, but it's usually related to it's story or the island's gimmick itself! Beyond that, it might be awarded for raising the Rapport of the resident NPC on the island to max, or with a special currency, or by completing one of the Una's Tasks reputations. There's quite a few ways they reward the hearts, I just named the two most common.
The unique dailies- world bosses, sailing and other stuff that pops up in the corner of your map with the calendad… do you do them all whenever they appear, or are there certain “best” timed events that you recommend as part of your daily loop?
Overall very good and well-structured video. For the next video it would be great though, if you could speak a little slower. It is sometimes hard to follow you as a non-native English speaker, especially when the video is so rich in information. Subtitles would also help if you really care about the video length being under 10 minutes.
I heard a rumor that if you only play one main character in Lost Ark, you only have about 1 hr of gameplay before you're realistically gated until tomorrow, but it seems this video makes it seem like a lot more than 1 hour?
There are the core dailies which take an hour or a little less, but there are weeklies as well (which can take hours on-prog), as well as all the non-daily activities.
it's good to know they have a lot of things to do. However, is there a website listing how each currency interacts with each other? The most confusing thing i do with every mmo is gaining 50 different currency/items that are stuck in my inventory, and each one is tied to something different.
I am in Stern and now level 50, did all side quests until now. Feels like i have a lot of main story to go right? When can i do the awakening quests? Also gearscore is only 250
considered i'm a ffxiv player and i played the entire game whitout skiping a single dialogue and i love it, should i play lost ark reading every single text and watch every single cutscene? is it a good history?
The story is surprisingly good. I think it has some cliches in it, but overall it's well-founded with memorable characters. It's better than most MMORPG stories, even if that standard is kind of low.
Hey, Do you think it's better to have alts on separate accounts or a single one, considering the server-wide rewards system you mentioned, but also considering that event rewards and other things are for one character only. For example, if I wanted three characters, but I want each of them to be competitive, not just a funnel tool, would the rewards for events outweigh the rewards from account-level increasing?
If you're looking for a clear answer, there's higher efficiency for them to be on different accounts. But boy is it a hassle to change accounts, and I for one couldn't live without shared account rewards on all my characters. Having to unlock all the skill points and unlockables multiple times in the same setting would really wear on me. I think the initial progression is lenient enough to have more than one main on one account without too much difficulty.

Wait, does this rest mechanic mean if you work 50 hours a week and can only play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you're getting all of your weekly rewards?

Hey, I picked activities which I was confident would be consistent with NA/EU's version. Basic things that are obvious that wouldn't be adjusted. I omitted contents which while might be possible, weren't guaranteed to be present such as Challenge Guardians.
Well, i cant do anything since im stick at rivia village. Cant complete Quest "eligibillity to enter balancar " there just that guy near gideon near Boards that tells me to complete dead highlands first. Ive tries everything and i simply cant Progress, not even on chaos dungeon. Pls help ?
With every addition of new content, the main story's plot expands, either the main storyline itself, or the major characters in it gain additional development and screentime.
You don't have to do all of it. Take your time, and enjoy the contents that are most interesting for you. I frequently skip out on content that I don't feel like doing on any given day.
I'm a non english speaker and I have serious issues trying to understand the video.. sadly. I love your content Saint but I feel like you speak too quickly since you are reading something you previously wrote, which makes it a bit hard to understand sometimes for me for example.
