This law applies for packaged products only. Falooda and other hotel food are part of "services" which is why for the same idly roadside shop charges are less while 5 star hotel charges are high. There is no MRP for services. They define a price and on that GST is charged separately only. Given example is wrong. Swiggy was fined for charging GST on a "soft drink" which is a packaged good, the same cannot be applied if you order a falooda from Swiggy. Refering to the price of falooda as "MRP" itself is wrong and misleading. There is no MRP for falooda

Dont go there. Go to a shop which suits. Unless they deliberately try to cheat or scam you, dont complain. Youre the one being nosy and spoiling their business. Having cash as payment is their choice. They prefer not to use online payment modes or bill(mostly if theyre low tier), as they will have to pay hella tax for it. This reduces their profit and also their family income. Imagine a family before commenting

Bro where to go and complain. Cos I bought rose milk from a restaurant via zomato the MRP on the bottle is ₹30 but they charged ₹35. When the complaint was raised to zomato they said as per govt rule a restaurant can charge more than the MRP. Also i checked in the invoice zomato has charged GST on the amount. What to do??
