So to speed this up for you guys.... It’s basically converting your ps4 to a PC Pirated Games, Mods( and Mod Menus) and Applications from the Internet such as emulators (OS emulators as well like running windows Linux or MacOS) These are the things that are possible as soon as you jailbreak. But a stock windows is far better for gaming then any console because of how open the platform is for modding, freedom, customization, exotic games that simpily cannot run on consoles for obvious reasons like OneShot and the ability to use any controller anf interface you want at any res or graphics
as far as I'm concerned, the only downside of jailbreaking is no online gaming experience which is not a problem at all for someone who hates online gaming such as myself

Great video man! Thanks for showing us all the options and capabilities the PS4 has... A personal tip regarding concerns for Online... If you're planning on Jailbreaking a PS4 in 2019, I would recommend simply getting a second used PS4 console and you get the best of both worlds! ^_^

PC is good, but some games you simply can't play unless you wait 10 years for an emulator or get a console. PS3 emulator is JUST getting off the ground, so PS4 emulator is gonna play it's first AAA game in 3-5 years.
My dads friend jail broke mine and I had over 200 games. I was young and didn’t remember the game I played the previous day so I played a new game every day.
I remember I had to open up a battery and mess with the prongs just to be able to jailbreak my PSP 😂 Felt like a god creating my own modded battery. The PSP was sooooo far ahead of its' time. Imagine if a portable PS4 or Xbox came out this year...especially since most games are digitally downloaded now too.
I think what you wanted to say at the end of the video is that the jailbreak is semi-untethered as distinct from untethered, the latter meaning that the device can jailbreak itself every time during the boot process. The former meaning that the jailbreak is installed, but needs to be activated every time you turn on your console. The same concept applies to iPhones/iPads/iPods. FYI tethered would mean that you would have to do the whole process of installing the jailbreak every time you want to switch on the device.
Yup but say goodbye to your multiplayer. You cant play online games with a jailbroken ps4 and if you try to connect your psn acc, Sony will be notified and your acc will be banned. You'll have to buy a new ps4. Thank me later.
Not only will u lose multiplayer and get your acct banned, Sony will/can ban your machine all together. My son had a modded ps 3 and Sony banned his acct AND his ps3 console. Now ps3 console is useless.

The 5.55 is Fully Exploited but the Jailbreak is still PRIVATE will not get released until Sony releases new FW they dont wont you to be able to go Online cause this will make problems for them with Sony
Pain Akatsuki No idea but it will be after new FW is released by Sony i think it will happen before the end of the year they also need to allow some time for 5.05 to get some development that can be then updated for the new Jailbroken FW
@@alistairupton1960 No PC is way more expensive than a Console you buy a console for like 3-4 years. The PC getting everyday a new update for the newest games you need a better CPU or a GPU or you need more RAM it's way more expensive than buy a console.
@@alistairupton1960 Not really, you would have to buy a monitor and all of those items that could be expensive, and if you want your PC to be really fast it could take more than $2000 for a gaming pc. I once came across a website that sells gaming PC's for $6000, so I think I'll stick with console which costs way less and lasts a long time.
I have a question my PS4 is up to date with 8.03 firmware and if I were to jailbreak it with the latest update am I able to go back to my regular PS4 if I decide I no longer want it jailbroken or am I stuck? I'm actually kind of scared to do it because I would still like to use online features such as playing online buying dlc etc.
Sony just lost some more respect points from me. That doesn't surprise me. They got a PS2 emulator built-in and yet they have it disabled. It's obvious they have done this because their motto is actually for the money to make players re-buy their games digitally. I still like to play some of my old PS2 games which is why I spent 2 weeks legit ripping my own BIOS to play my owned physical games on PC. I can also understand they disabled other OS back on PS3 due to hackers and piracy but at the end of the day, there's always an exploit. Save Wizard for PS4 to edit save files and this jail break. The PS4 is a powerful system, I mean imagine playing games that are laggy on a home computer through a Linux OS and the PS4 makes it look like a joke.
If you ask anyone about PS2 emulation they'll tell you its a nightmare to get it to work properly. In fact, you can already see how well this PS2 emulator works on PS4- Metal Slug Anthology and Jak and Daxter 2 and 3. Do you now get why there are so few PS2 Classics on the PSN store? Releasing many of those games would print sony a ton of money, but since they know how difficult it is to emulate those games properly they decided to shift their focus elsewhere. I'd much rather not have a port of an old game than to have it run 10fps with broken polygons and textures. But sure, pull out the money card and keep complaining. Sony's greedy, that's all there is to it.
Well today modders can connect online, you can easily find modders on xenoverse 2, literally there was a modder at the top of the ranked list on that game for like a month! GTA 5 you can go online for role play as well which i wish I could do cause I’ve been wanted to play GTA role play for idk how long and I wish that they would make an online GTA role play game mode.

run mira+hen then after use "original" after that use the program click on run payload if it works then youre good run the game and click on attach for the cheats depends on the game and you should be set if it doesnt work clear your cookies and reset your ps4 start the ps4 fresh and also the program as well
Can the ps2 games be remote played? If it can, that would be the nail in the coffin for me. I have so many old ps2 discs begging to be ripped to my ps4.
For me personally, anything before ps3/xbox360 is pretty okay to pirate, no one really buys an n64 or it's games (except for collectors) ya know? You're not hurting a dev team by downloading those for free. That being said, I think its very moraly wrong to pirate modern games that are still selling. So please, even if you do jailbreak your ps4 do not pirate ps4 games. That is genuine theft and it's illegal.
just dont buy games at launch for full price. lets say a few months later (fully updated) max 30,- and rated more. much better then modding your console, and always beaware of a banhammer,or systemupdate.a at the end your collection have a emotional value, and better, you actualy finish them. i use to mod all my consoles because it was fun. but collecting roms and isos became more of an addiction then gaming itself. for me it was just a waste of the whole magical ps,xb or nintendo experience. you broke your waranty, when it breaks you have to buy a new ps4, and your collection isnt worth shit. well do what you like, but i gave up on modding long time ago, since system updates and online gaming and dlc became important. not for me anymore, i just made a new statement for myself, don't buy games over 30,- and you always win.

@@jessemills5951 yes almost everything is supported on linux I personally use linux on both my main tower and my rasberry pi 3 b+ and I run alot of windows applications some I run through wine which isnt very good only runs certain applications

I had a chipped PlayStation 1 over 15 years ago. My sisters boyfriend gave it to me with hundreds of games. I remember an addiction to Diablo and Splinter Cell. All my games were burned onto discs..
The cons are, I have never had 4.55 crash on me, yet 5.05 crashes... quite a few times I must say since it's release. Most of the time it seems to crash when enabling HEN, or dumping games, but that's the point of a JB system IMO, so yes, there is a downside, and I hope that a new JB fixes it.

If the Playstation 4 didn't sell as well as it did I guarantee the PS2 emulator would've been introduced in a later update. But now sales don't matter as much as a feature they can use as a selling point for their next generation.

And the person who sell you his "havent used ps4 in ages" must not know about the value of a low firmware , and it has to be about 2 years that hasn't been updated, and while everyone is trying to get one for cheap and you must be the lucky one to buy it from the person who's selling. yeah sure thing. Quinlan it's probably possible before data transfer got patched on ps3 we used to transfer games/mods onto a non jailbroken console so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to on ps4.

I know this isn't old video. But I just want to point out if you do jailbroken you'll ps4 you still can get online and play online games. Your just have to run a third-party apps on your ps4, So you can go online.
Fixing the locked PS2 (and PS1?) emulator is basically the only interesting part with this. When it comes to modern games I rather support the developers and games are not too expensive either
LMAO The FBI isnt going to do any thing if you mod your Game console. most of Us would Copy our games to a HDD so we dont have to use the Disks all the time
