Thinking about a Bass VI type instrument? Want to know what you could do on it? A little bit of practice can make a world of difference, especially if you're willing to get used to playing it fingerstyle instead of just with a pick.
This is a sort of multi-genre demo of normal-bass uses I have for my Squier Vintage Modified VI.
Pedalboard (mostly off) - Ampeg SVT III Pro - Bag End S15X-D cabinets - miced with a Blue Yeti, camera audio muted during play segments. Effects used in the middle are TC Electronic Sub n up and Digitech Supernatural, with a few notes of DOD Boneshaker and Damnation MBD-1, but that wasn't the focus so there isn't much of it.
The instrument's electronics are currently all-stock. The mods are as follows:
Fender import locking vibrato
Staytrem VI bridge
Roller string tree
LaBella 767-6N strings
and I think a 1/16" shim for a little better angle on the bridge.
