Ever wondered what colour squid jig to use when EGI fishing on an overcast day? I ran these two colours side by side and filmed the squids reactions to the colours and which one they decided to attack and eat.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit

Hey just saw your post on this on Facebook, thanks for sharing thats really useful to know, and here I was thinking everybodys go to lure was full pink (seemed that way online and from what I could see in real life) but its obvious the redhead is preferred .

Great info! Appreciate your work! I will look for the jig next time I go to a fishing shop. I think the white colour is the magnet 🧲 for squid. Although I haven't had any success lately .

Well done. Would be great to see some more of them. We know they all work but it's cool to see them reject the pink when given a choice. Those cuttlefish can be a nightmare to get off the jigs sometimes :)

wow, that is so cool man. what an awesome idea of testing this under water. Not often that we can see footage like this. Shows how picky those buggers can be. Now I'll have to get some red heads, haha. I haven't had much luck with squid this year.
