Jamie man I am just a small youtuber, and I signed and took pictures for 8 hours straight without a break at the Spirit Halloween Flagship store grand opening last month, and I was absolutely wiped out. I cannot even imagine how exhausting it is being a legit celebrity and doing this on your level, especially at a horror convention. Yikes!! And yes! You're absolutely right, as someone that people look up to, you want to be exactly what they expect when they meet you, you want to be the very best you can be and make their experience the best it can be. It's totally exhausting and even more rewarding 😊
Okay, first off, you and Ralph were the two shining beacons of light in my stormy hot-mess of a damn weekend at monster mania, so I want to sincerely thank you for that. I myself am an empath & I see and feel EVERYTHING. I analyze everything to a T. I get overwhelmed and emotional easily and large crowds make me extremely anxious. I was also between jobs while at this convention and, you're right, ended up spending hundreds of $ in my savings to be part of this event. But, Scream is what introduced me to horror & will always be my absolute favorite. You exceeded my expectations during our meet & greet and you were by far the best celebrity-meet experience I've ever had. I did unfortunately miss out on meeting David because right after meeting you my car was illegally towed by someone who doesn't even have a license to tow vehicles and he demanded $325 in cash to recover my vehicle, so after 5 hours of dealing with that and a night of emotional turmoil, I wasn't able to make it back Sunday to get my final signature. But meeting you is the one thing that made even driving 4 hours to be there 100% worth it. (I've idolized Matt for two decades and barely got eye contact from him let alone any real interaction, so I know from personal experience what you mean about fans feeling let down by their idols) but man, you knocked it out of the park, dude. Also, I'd like to point out that 4 days ago when I posted our selfie with you I legitimately added #justiceforrandy and if you tell me where to send it and what size I will ABSOLUTELY send you a shirt. Thank you from the bottom of my anxious and socially awkward little heart over here. You absolutely rock!

It was amazing meeting you! After seeing how many people were there, I can’t imagine how draining that is. I've always wanted to go to a con. Hopefully I can next year. It looks intense and fantastical. Almost feels like the first time my mother took me to the movies to see Braveheart when I was 9 and I witnessed the magic and thrill of something so unique and breathtaking. I'll never forget that memory. I get a feeling it would be a similar experience and I want to go so bad. Thanks for making this video man. Love these

“Don’t judge me. But if you do, offer some help.” May have been a throw away comment, but it’s brilliant in its simplicity cause the concept seems to escape most people. We live in a culture that seems to revel in the act of tearing people down. If you disagree with someone, or feel a criticism is warranted, you can still approach it in a way that isn’t solely intended to destroy someone.

I waited 10 hours to meet you guys, you guys were so freaking nice. Matt definitely had the music poppin ha. There's a special kind of person who is at the convention who just makes up shit lol. So me and my friends I mean we're running off of no sleep and this guy comes up and says "oh my God Jamie hes all high, he is stoned out of his mind". I turned to my friend and I was like no way I know that he doesn't do anything cause I am an actual fan🤣 I don't know if that was the guy way of just trying to hit on me to make conversation. But like as I'm in line looking at you I'm like he seems like hes pretty normal doing his thing wtf are you talking about. When we finally got up to meet you you were completely awesome & not high lol . It just goes to show people just talk shit! It's mind blowing. Also when we were in line people told us that the main star from gremlins is an asshole and to not meet him. But thank God we don't listen to people and we went up and met him and he was the nicest person too. People just piss me off, no one told you to randomly come up to me and give me your opinion on what you think about the celebrities that I am excited to meet. Let me meet them and form my own opinion don't rain on my parade because you suck. People crack me up but I just wanted to say thank you so much me and my friend had an amazing day. I bet you are so exhausted but as a fans We really appreciate you coming out and doing meet and greet in cherry hill. It's my favorite convention to do everyone is always a good time. Side note I know it's been past 10 minutes but hopefully you remember me and my friend Lmfao 🤣
I believe the person that told you Jamie was high may have been my dad. I can honestly say he didn’t mean to hurt your experience or be harsh to Jamie. He is a big fan of Jamie and I think he has seen more of his movies than I have. My dad saw that Jamie was selling ghostface bongs at his table and he told me that he thought it was cool that he was selling them. My dad is very social and will talk to anyone. He’s also very overly sarcastic(it drives me crazy sometimes😂) We met Jamie that day and he a absolute sweetheart and he was both of our favorite celebrity we met that day. I don’t think he was high but even if he was I believe he still would have been just as kind. I’m sorry if my dad almost ruined your experience with this comment.

There was one person at the last Monster Mania (58) who was a major letdown and I know a LOT of people were looking forward (myself included) to meeting said person. Was a severe letdown. Look could tell said person just wasn't into it and just gave off an aura that they did not WANT to be there.
I met you sat morning with my scream2 shirt telling you how it was my fav even tho you died. When I was leaving you said something about being back and I said never say you’ll be right back, and you said cause you won’t! Such a pleasure
You joining Neve Campbell in Avalon. It's a new series she's been casted in as Lead Character Detective Nic Sercy and it will be a Mystery, Drama. It will air on ABC and may even stream on Hulu. I would definitely like to see her in a Batman movie. She definitely has the potential due to all these crime roles she's doing.
We had such an amazing time this weekend. I saw you 3 times with my daughter. Waiting probably 4 hours total. Waited almost 8 hours to meet David and 3 to meet Matthew. Can’t wait to do it again. We love you and Elyssa. She is such a sweetheart. Come to Pittsburgh.
I know a few people who have worked in the "movie biz", whether as actors or on the tech crews that make the actors look good. It's like the music business. I sank 30k of my retirement savings into an indie movie project in Mexico that went nowhere. I know that's small change but it was a leap of faith. Lesson learned. Actress involved ultimately decided that it was more important to be a Mom and take care of her new baby (so sweet, and such a beautiful little girl!). Me and her are Fine, still Friends. I understood. Just wished the director/writer had enlightened me on the situation honestly. I'm sure you've been through a similar situation....Jamie, you are a Straight Shooter, you're a Mensch! ...by the way, an Old Joke : "What is a Hollywood mensch?"
