I think it’s pretty awesome that you’re going to pick up teenagers that broke down fishing rather than teenagers that got arrested and are in jail or something on that line
Funny thing how when you aquire equipment to recover stuck and broken vehicles your list of "friends" gets longer! Gotta love the friends and family discount on that stuff. In most cases it's 100% off whether you offer it or not! On a serious note though I hope those boys of yours and their friends all know how blessed they are to have someone like you around to help with breakdowns and build projects. So many young men in this world don't have a strong father figure in their lives and it shows. Keep it up Paul. Really enjoy watching y'alls channel.
Fond memories of driving mechanically questionable vehicles for a lot of my early years! A friend or relative with a Tow Truck would have been great! Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
When my daughter was in college she'd come home on the weekends. This certain weekend, a hurricane was in the Gulf causing a lot of flooding inland. We had bought her a new Kia Rio to make the commute and I was a bit worried due to the size of the car plus its low profile to the ground. She was calling every 30 minutes giving me an update on her progress. About 10 minutes after her last check in, she called and said the words no parent is ready to hear in the middle of a bad storm, " Dad, is my car suppose to float " ? My jaw hit the ground as I tried to compose the thoughts running through my head and try and stay calm for her sake. I asked why did she want to know if her car was suppose to float. She said she had pulled off in a church parking lot to let the rain die down but realized the parking lot was covered in about Three feet of water and the front of her car was bobbing up and down. Thankfully I raised a smart kid who quickly put it in reverse and got back up on higher ground. I told her if it was safe to just wait where she was at and I'd come and guide her home. Thank the Good Lord it all turned out well. When I seen where the boys had driven the car into the river it brought back memories. Love the show -------
Paul I'm sure glad you finally got the rollback in operation it saves wear on the other recovery vehicles. I love Hunter's big knife! Glad Ben's ok with his shoulder! Good to see Grandma Lolly keeping an eye on her boy's!
I can relate to the "Rescue" phone calls 🤙 from my youngest daughter & her friends. I have two daughters And lots of kids( her friends)that call me Dad 🙏❣️ What we do for our kids. Which is anything ❣️ You are an amazing man Paul. As are your shop cohort's . Y'all are the best 🙏
Well Paul, despite the break down with your boys I'm so glad you're in a position to go get them. Perhaps some would let their kids figure things out on their own. The "Fab Rats" Dad goes on a recue! We love our Fab Rats crew!
Paul, it's not just you. Back when I had a car hauler, I picked up several of my kids vehicles, and, some of my friends. I bought it to use, but mainly to haul my rock crawler, but, no biggie, I did it with a smile!
Wow I am so glad that Michelle's jeepster is going to be built I know it's gonna be awesome coming from you guys I've known several people have built these they are a pretty neat vehicle Really enjoy your channel I look forward to it every time you post a video Stay safe Love from tenacious D.
Great to see the rescues of your family and their friends. That is what dads do. Great example for them to follow in their futures. I'm sure there were discussions with them about some of the rescues and their choices.... Oh, to be young again.
Hey Hunter, put it in your satchel with your skittles. Not at the table Carlos! BTW, the Croc Dundee reference.....priceless! Always good content here.
I love this family environment you see your kids are popular because they have connections they have call trouble you have a roll back. That is a major plus to have that. Paul i know you will help the kids get the vehicle back on the road you are an amazing father.
To avoid knock off merch sites I went to website myself and handed my phone to the wife to order my birthday presents. Now prom pictures with my daughter has fabrats in full view.
Looks like Paul won't need to hit the candy isle for a bit! LOL!! Hunter is going to need a really BIG scabbard to hold his new knife!! Tell Ben to take it easy on the shoulder... those ligaments need time to knit back together!! Looking forward to seeing all the new projects!!
Nice to see the lads learning how to hook up and tow their own vehicles, you know, offering to do some crawling around and discovering where to place hooks and such....😂
I was always the house to hang out at. We had horses, motorcycles plus Dad always had garages that we worked out of and like Paul’s boys, dad bailed me out plenty. Both my parents were happy that we all hung out at my house, they always knew what we were doing. I was not a kid to push boundaries and my parents knew that they could trust me.
I been following this channel for a while. I'd watch with my Mom, who generally approved. She used to help her Dad, a blacksmith on PEI. He'd tear down the steam tractor in the fall, store the parts, and re-assemble in the spring. She sure enjoyed your channel. Passed away last year, but I wanted you to know. You're pretty stand-up folks.
I'm looking forward to seeing the next builds. Watching your channel given me some ideas to turn my wife's totaled chevy tracker into an offroad trail rig
I love the way you look after those kids; this speaks volumes to your character, and you can be sure it is having a long-lasting effect on them for years to come!
Good thing you got the role back, and a awesome dad. Because most teenagers forget about those little things like emergency road side service and things ... Have a good week and God bless amen.
Yeah! The Jeepster is on the build list. I've been waiting for that. Hey, good thing you have a roll back. And recovering the teens after a fishing trip is not all bad.
@@saginawdan interesting question,I have only recently enjoyed my favourite RU-vid proponents on the slightly bigger screen,I certainly haven't watched any regular broadcast television free to air( Australian) I wish some executive type tv producers would watch and take notice,I'm sick to bloody death of home renovations and finding love with lots of scripted drama. Fab rats, pudding fab,Matt's off-road and vicegrip garage to name but a few, could take over for all I care. Plenty of good Australian contenders also. Tv lost its way
@@brucehayes7251 I’m in a lot of car/truck groups with Aussies. Always a good conversation when we start showing and telling about our rigs. Mostly because Aussies have similar taste in vehicles to us North American guys, and many of the same rigs, just rebadged.
Good thing you have the rollback Paul, those kids are going to keep you running brother! lol 😂 That’s some beautiful country Michelle and Paul, I’d love to visit one day! Thanks for sharing, Kirk from Louisiana sending prayers for you and your family! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have never had a problem finding you all. Because if its not posted here by 7am Central time zone. I will search for your video all day long into the next day. I have to have my dose of FabRats. Thanks for the amazing build and love you all show. God Bless.
Man, I wish I had a guarenteed way to get home when I was a kid. I've walked home many miles many times, hitchiked, even camped out on the side of the road overnight, only to finally get home and only have a shovel, a chain and maybe a come-a-long if I was lucky, available to recover vehicles by hand.
I can't wait to see Michelle's jeepster come alive. You boys ought to do something for Grandma Lolly too with how she treats you! I think she's due for a gift
Well congrats on the derby. I saw a lot of Matt hugging the ropes and his kid avoiding all action. But you and Robby.... what can I say? I will watch you guys all night!! I do have to point out though that you DID go after little Robby, and little Robby put you down! Great Show!!!
Good show today ! Nice recoveries is too. From the looks of that Magnum he probably wasn't trying to cross the river he was just trying to give it a bath. In 18 years I have never driven my Magnum through a river. Maybe that's why it still looks like new. I did drive it through the lake one time and up onto an island but the lake was empty at the time. 😉
Yep, I had a bunch of Dad projects from my kids like that. I agree, they didn't pay well. I was the one paying for them, but the piece of mind knowing they were safe was worth it.
Can't wait for the new building. Make sure you insulate it right away. My shop is in Nebraska and a colder climate so that insulation pays for itself. And don't scrimp on the big door. That's out biggest heat loss.
As parents we're always rescuing kids from sticky situation that they get themselves into! They'll pay it forward somehow, their good kids who have been brought up well! Happy Ben's on the mend, Grandma Lolly she's a hoot and nothing get by her! Hunter with his New knife, make a big target and make a competition for target practice, just make sure nobody's behind it! Lol. Looking forward to what's coming next! Til next time take care, stay safe, see you then...
Hey hey had my breakfast sandwich (Buffalo sausage melted cheese and tomato) - that BBQ sauce looked interesting. Ford transfer cases suck. But it's better than blowing a tyranny. Ha. .I'm so funny
My dad saved my butt more than once when I did stupid stuff as a teenager. You gave them far less grief than I was given. (Or, perhaps, the grief wasn't given on camera. :D )
One way to get the kids attention on these things, put them to work to pay off their debt, for the towing in this case. That's how it works around here 👍
I enjoy your work! Your family seems to work together and like each other, rare it seems today. I have to ask... is there a "family recipe" for the dutch oven taters you mentioned? I had to pause and look through my recipes, got my Mom's and Granny's but my favorite is from my paternal grandfather and his "Mule Skinner Taters" He was a teamster in CA, he worked the 20 mule teams hauling borax. They were always in our camp meals cooked in the coals.
For some reason, When you started to go back across that small creek, I tensed up!! I was waiting for you to get stuck!! Lol and having to call Matt to come pull you out!! Lol 😆
"Diabetas" , 😆, (RIP Wilford Brimley), teenagers and their worn-out hoopties,👍, it makes me remember the good-ol'days, lol, great video guys, and thanks for sharing.
-- Those Michigan plates are going around up here. If it's a new one (Says 'Water-Winter Wonderland'), it's a throwback design to the 1930's or something. They recently re-released those plates. Have some fam over there that have them on their vehicles.
Morning Fab RATS Family!!! LOL.... Kids and Cars = Repeat Customers!!!! Thank goodness for Dad's with Rollbacks!! (I kept looking for those Dutch Oven Taters to show up on camera!! Was that just a teaser?) Glad to know Ben's shoulder is back in place where it belongs!! Can't wait to see what spring projects are on the drawing board!! That little jeepster ought to be a blast for you, Michelle!! FUN FUN!! Safe travels, friends❤️❤️ Stay FROSTY... Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel... 🇺🇸🇺🇸WWG1WGA🇺🇸🇺🇸NCSWIC🇺🇸🇺🇸
GREAT TO SEE MECHELLE BACK ON THE CHANEL welcome back. the glasses look killer on you ! perhaps paul should trade recoverys for work when it comes to the teens ? just an idea
Hey Paul how come the boy's aren't doing any work since you're rescuing them lol, I like the self employed t shirt & glad Ben is okay, thank's for all behind the scenes work Michelle you're the fuel regulator that keeps the machine running smoothly in Fab Rat's style, thank's for sharing God bless ❤😉👍
Just ordered an OD Green F/Rs hoodie. I'll be stylin with my hat and hoodie. I'll try and promote some of your products up here in Washington. By the way, I think Hunter's new knife could be used to split kindling or as a hammer for Ben. LOL! Great content guys.😁
