I didn't think I had the Arin food relationship until I had a boba recently, after a long time not having it. I had the happy foot tappies, the happy little noises, lol. Looking on my reaction to other foods I really like, yeah, I guess I am more like Arin. I'm a bit pickier though, I admire his ability to try anything.

Indian food wins every category always in my book and BOY HOWDY do I love a dosa 😮‍💨😮‍💨 I’m also vegetarian and have been for 13 years so I’m well accustomed to not having much to pick from at restaurants. My biggest issue walking into an Indian restaurant is that there are SO MANY OPTIONS and I feel like I need to order half the menu to try everything I want lmao

I believe the Americans call it Canadian bacon because peameal bacon is common here versus only the thin kind over there. Let's be real here peameal bacon IS just some ham 😂 we're the weirdos that call it bacon. (Fellow Canadian who hates peameal)

@@nerdycurls6253 It's all bacon, none of it is ham. Bacon is not a specific cut...it's the process of salt curing pork. What Americans just call bacon is bacon made from pork belly. Canadians call that side bacon, the Brits call it streaky bacon. What Americans call Canadian bacon is a cut of loin, which is from the pigs back, which is why Canadians and Brits call that back bacon. You can also get collar bacon from the shoulder. Ham on the other hand is specifically pork leg. If anything it's the Americans who have got it wrong calling their bacon bacon. The word bacon comes from the old French for back....which technically means us Brits and Canadians are calling it "back back" but the Americans are calling pork belly "back". Weirdly, the reason for this is most of these names are derived from the French conquest of England. French cuisine and rule was so influential on British food that we started using French words to refer to food and cuts of meat, and English words to refer to animals and body parts (Beef is from the old French for Ox, mutton is from the French for sheep, etc.). Jambon was the Norman word for hind leg and is now the word the French use for ham. Ham and gammon are bastardization of that French word. So many English language culinary terms are just us speaking French badly.

And the full English is missing the tea, toast, butter, black pudding and sauce, too. I bet the sausages, beans and bacon weren't proper, either. I'd still smash it and the Dosa though because duh.

That's actually a Roman dish from the 300's. It was known as Roman Toast, German Toast, Spanish Toast, Bombay Toast, all sorts of stuff. We know it as French Toast because in 1700's New York a person NAMED French published a popular cookbook with it. He was going to call it "French's Toast," but made a typo and wrote French Toast instead. So it's not from any of these countries.
