Well the DCD805 you are showing has 15 torque settings but the one I was sent has 14. An extra line after 13 then the drill like the 796. Contacted them and they said that's how it's supposed to be, where did you get your one. I'm in the UK
TBH - there seems to be way too much choice - surely they need like 3 drills... entry level, a mid range and a beast for the top. Having 500 versions makes it impossible to pick what you need.
There's that saying. "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit". Although, I think they make it confusing so they can technically sell "exclusive" ones at Lowes. Cutting deals with separate companies at the cost of coherence and confusion to the customers. Typical corporate bs
Don't wast the DCD999for woodworking. It is excellent to drill ins steel. The chuck can easily hold a tap drill. Amazing how it grabs the hardened shank.
