you have no clue dude, i was seriously just watching this shit with a mouthful of chicken and rice and i decided to scroll while i was chewing and i spit that shit out reading ur comment
to be entirely fair if ur closest homie is actually about to die, if ur not saying something along the lines of “i love you”, ur just a bad friend bro 😭😭
nah.. theyre def gay not friends lol, The author of jjk has literally drawn fan art of yaoi.... of a couple who look just like geto and gojo from the manga "Black Feathers in the Heart of Love"
@@_General_Grievous__ do you plan your death day to be on december 24th with alll your homies? (christmas is the most romantic day in japan, equivalent to our valentines day for japanese couples)
@@_General_Grievous__ dude u watched jjk with ur ass if u think they're just friends... u can even tell the author is gay with the way gege has no interest in drawing women In his manga
@@awesomeoliver4532 This fits better ngl. Considering he blushes in the manga, it meant that he enjoyed those words before passing. But a theory is still a theory
@@lineanoves6650 I think that was what Gojo meant: "We will meet in the afterlife". He said it instead of "I love you" because he believed it would curse Geto (he had seen Rika, who made by Yuta, who is Gojo’s relative; meaning there was a risk of Gojo making Geto into a curse like Riko)... Yet the words he chose, still cursed Geto.
I always thought it was "I'll be lonely" also I also always thought it would make sense for gojo to develop infinite void after geto died because that's when he was the loneliest and domain expansion is the ultimate expression of how you interpret the technqiue
@@ahnaflfc369 You're confused... you're thinking about JJK 0 to main series of JJK as 1 year. I'm talking about Hidden Inventory (flashback arc) to JJK 0. Teen Gojo and Geto (16-17) to adults (27) in JJK 0.
about the opening: tatsuya kitani did not write the song for JJK specifically, the song instead talks about his own experience with losing friends, grief, regret, and wanting to go back to simpler, happier times
The anime production team asked for specific tones in the song that the artist said were difficult to accommodate. The director also made notes about some of the first versions.
@@JustASpider980 Of course, I'm just saying the main theme of loss was not something that was written specifically for the anime. I'm sure some of the more subtle aspects of the song were reviewed by the production team
@@justyouraveragehumanbeing7411 the director asked for "a song with a refreshing impression based on the theme of youth." I'm not disagreeing that the song is written with those themes in mind. But it was for the anime.
@@JustASpider980 I might've used the wrong words then? What I meant is that the song was meant to be used in JJK, but Tatsuya Kitani wrote it as a very personal song, based on his own life and experiences. That's why I don't consider the song to be made specifically for JJK, as it exists within its own context if that makes sense.
@@justyouraveragehumanbeing7411 I see what you mean now. Thank you for clarifying! It's nice to have a decent conversation on this platform. The way I see it; the artist was such a fan of the manga that it's linked enough. He used his own life experiences to fuel the feelings to make them accurate/believable. That's just the way I see it. It's enough for me. We each have to make our own decisions on these kinds of matters. Nice talking to you!
I def think he said "I love you". I also think a little callback was when geto said "at least curse me", and earlier Gojo said "Sometimes love is the greatest curse of all"
I have a feeling he said, “You were strong.” Which would not only be a very high compliment to Geto considering their rivalry as students, but it would also be a unique parallel between Gojo and Sukuna. The strongest sorcerers giving compliments to someone weaker than them at their moment of death.
@@mythydamashii9978 Not really sadistic at all. Their whole past was Gojo playing them off as “the strongest”, but the basketball scene showed that Gojo felt superior to Geto in both his morals and his strength. Geto realizes this too, especially after Amanai’s death and Gojo’s “enlightenment.” So I feel like Gojo saying that isn’t sadistic, but rather meant to be his form of compassion. To me it’s more fitting than him saying “I love you”.
@@evan64915 Literally that whole moment was so Idk what you’re on about. Gojo’s not one for sweet words, period. If you’re saying him calling someone strong is out of character, you gotta remember that’s his former best friend from school. No amount of sorcerer craziness or superiority complex is gonna change that.
I think what Gojo said was something along the lines of “Shinyuu da yo” (you’re my best friend). He did say it to Yuta , that his best friend was the one who found it. But also it connects with what Geto said in Mimiko and Nanako’s flashback when they asked who Gojo Satoru was. Geto said “Shinyuu dattan da” (he was my best friend) Geto at that point had thought that he and Gojo were not friends anymore (from how he had explained it to the twins). Narratively, it only makes sense that Gojo would correct that assumption Geto had (that they had stopped being friends that day.) Gojo say “you are my best friend” would have let Geto know that after everything Gojo hand never stopped thinking of him as his friend.
I always thought he said the same thing he told Yuta when he asked if Gojo was the one who found his Jujutsu Tech ID "You're my bestfriend. The only one I ever had."
As always I appreciate your balanced analysis. I like how you present each bit of potential evidence and what's more or less speculative. I also like the note at the start about no toxicity and loving your friends. If I were Gojo talking to my one and only my friend at the end I would definitely say 'I love you'. Difficult to be sure what he actually said as you present some other compelling options. The issue with shonen is that it's stunted with regard to romance anywhere along the kinsey scale, yet our societies tend to privilege romantic love as being the highest form of love (I don't think it has to be), so I tend to find these weird dissonances in the story and especially the fan reaction with regard to the different relationships because nothing is ever clear and complete either way (aside from say Yuta). I found the same with stories like Naruto. While I think it's valid to have either interpretation, I personally value this relationship as intense but platonic and incredibly tragic.
"I love you" consists of 3 words in English and was spoken by Yuta in an earlier scene. It makes sense given Geto's response. It's also not hard to see why it would've been censored from a real-life standpoint.
I think the most likely headcannon for Gojo and Geto was they did have feelings for one another but couldn’t express that with words due to how words can curse one another and how Gojo was insecure and how Geto was duty first and all. If you don’t think that, that’s cool but as folk for the LGBTQ community we got little to know representation in media so it’s nice to have characters we can see ourselves in.
I think it's pretty obvious that it was not romantic feelings. After gojo's death, both were having a talk at th airport and you can really see that the chats were pure bromance and really no tension in the air, all of the other people there chilling. And honestly after the hidden inventory arc, you can see how they both went for different missions and gojo wasn't really fazed with that, they had very minimal interactions with each other, but gojo was fine, and geto would've been too but sadly his views changed.
From the position of his mouth it literally looked like he was saying "I love you" but... I don't know. After what you said, it seems even more fitting. I hope we find out someday because it's one of the things I'm most curious about in this series
yo quick theory in Avant music video by eve on 1:21 there is a subtitle that says, like being haunted by a memoryless monster, could it be alluding to sukkuna haunting yuji's body with no memories of himself? it could just be about rika and yuta tho
Hi Manganimist! I have 2 questions for you. 1)After the manga ends, can you talk about the set-ups/Chekhov's gun that were never fired/addressed in the series? 2)Among the three Boogie Woogie fake out Black flashes in the series(Vs Hanami, Mahito and Sukuna), how would you rank them(cathartisim, impact on the plot)
8440k thank you so much for the continued support man! I talk about this here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8s0zmELp7sg.html I'm curious as to which is your favorite?
@@ManganimistYT That’s hard to choose, the one against Hanami introduced is to the Black flash streak, the one against Mahito was the culmination of Yuji’s perseverance and to the Mahito and black flash against Sukuna was to pay homage to the other two black flashes! I’ll be greedy and switch all of the three!
i think without a doubt it was "i love you" the true meaning behind it being a expression of romantic or platonic love is up to the interpreter but i think there is no other choice for it to be considering the tone of volume 0, im personally swaying more towards it being a platonic thing but honestly if any mxm ship in jjk is real its this one
I think I love you fits especially with the theme of zero is love. Weather it was romantic or not it doesnt mater they had a close bond that those words would be fiting (also love/ like has alot of different words in Japanese so another reason it could fit.)
I think he says, "i miss you". Cause it's very sentimental and refers to both their past and their present circumstances. It also plays into Gojo's loneliness. However, I'm not sure if this phrase was said earlier in the film.
There's a saying in Japanese 高校の青春ぐらい青いな (koko no seiushin gurai aoi na) that translate to "as blue as high school day" that refers to the youth days So "Ao no sumika" where our blue is which reflects on their past youthful days I think that's a nice Easter egg
If a zenin and gojo clan member had a kid what do you think their abilities would be? Do you think a 10 shadows 6 eye user would be better than a 6 eye limitless user? Or what other combos of a abilities do you think would be possible? And lastly what do think the clans would do to that family and child?
‘Until next time, we’ll meet again’ might implied that Gojo would die soon and meet Geto in the after life. Though I think ‘I’ll be lonely’ would fit it better. And I remember that in the interview Gege implied that Gojo’s had said it in the JJK 0. So it’s not anyone’s words but Gojo himself said it before…. Or he could say ‘You’re too weak’ 😂
"I'll miss you, you were my one and only true best friend, I'm sorry" also possibly said "I love you" or "goodbye", geto is his best friend/brother. Remember in the dub how he relates it to yuta, the things he says.. If you go back to that, it gives us the real words❤
I love you fits perfectly. Geto thought gono didn't care after he left to train and do solo missions. This shows geto he was wrong all along and gono did care deeply thats why he couldn't kill him when Geto came to him the first time.
What if Gojo is dying was part of his plan, somewhat. A way to push his students to reach their potential. Gojo coming back seems likely, bringing the death of Yuji to end the cycle.
“Suguru…It’ll be lonely.” ***SPOILER WARNING*** We know Gege likes to make things cyclical, so what if what Yuji says to Megumi is also the same thing Gojo said to Geto
