When you replace the belt, pull the clutches off and seal the backing plate and put an OMC gasket on the belt box cover. It wont leak again from the belt box. They are notorious for leaking around the backing plate and the factory belt box seal is garbage

Is this issue more common with the renegades? Never had any issues out of the outlander with the belt box. Also I feel like the leak is coming from pretty high up, I’ll smoke test it soon!

@@BraydonPrice. they are hit and miss from the factory. The main leak on the renegade is the backing plate and clutch cover. There’s two seals that are directly behind the clutches. Use black RTV to seal them and seal the bolt holes as well. If you don’t get a OMC gasket for the belt box, use die electric grease instead of silicone for the lid. It makes it easier to remove. The way it’s leaking in the video, it’s gotta be the belt box leaking. Pull your clutches apart and clean it when you replace the belt as well. If your boots are tight, it shouldn’t be leaking from any of your boots. Other than the belt box leaking, there shouldn’t be any more issues from it.

I have a Suzuki 250 no fan or nothing doesn’t even get that hot but one of our 400s gets triple that heat in 5 minutes you got to have some sort of air forced into it once you get bigger motors
