Love TGTG. Morrisons is my fav but Greggs can be quite joyful. My Morrisons ones are nearly always fruit and veg. I get mine before doing a food shop and when I have some time to get things in the freezer. I enjoy the challenge of using it all and if there is something I don’t like, I give to my neighbours. Tried a few new recipes for me e.g. I got 2 large mangos before, put that into BBC Good Food search and made a delicious creamy mango chicken curry. I think you did really well.
Thank you .. i would love to try a greggs bag, but im trying to avoid cakes and pastries.. even though I love them .. maybe I'll treat myself one day 😌 🙂x
Bread freezes. Also you can cut up and make homemade croutons and those in an air tight bag or jar last! Just drizzle with olive Oil and spices and they toast up great! Blueberries freeze well too! And the oranges juiced, and then put into ice trays, are nice dropped into water!
That was a great bag! With the bagettes, I like to slice them in rounds and wrap the loaf in foil to stop freezer burn, then put it in a plastic bag or bread wrapper and freeze it. I can then grab a few frozen slices and make garlic toast or open sandwhiches or have them with soup. Bread will last 3 to 6 months or more in the freezer
I make croutons with extra bread. Also you can make Strata with toasted bread. It makes a delicious breakfast casserole. French onion soup for your homemade croutons and bread pudding. I’m so happy for you. I wish we had Too Good To Go in the United States. I’m a big fan of yours. I love your communication style!
Aww thank you .. thats a lovely thing to say 😊.. thats made me so very happy 😊.. Do you have other things in the USA that we don't where you could make saving? Croutons sound fab 👌 🙂
I'm a new subscriber what a great bag you got I have never had these myself but thats about to change I have ordered a Morrisons bag and a Morrisons cafe bag to collect this afternoon so fingers crossed I get some good items especially as money is very very tight now I'm on my own. I sadly lost my partner John he died very very suddenly on the 4th April we had been shopping and got home had lunch listened to some music then I found him in the bathroom on the floor unresponsive still cant get my head around how quick it all was he wasnt ill or nothing he was only 52 so since then my money has been cut so trying to get good bargains I will also have a look for the yellow sticker items too tonight see if there is anything there for me so i could always freeze it and if i get any bread i will freeze that too if its sliced if not i will slice it and put it into bags ready to pull out whenever great haul take care 😊
Bless you .. im sending you my deepest condolences on your very sad loss .. I cant imagine what that must be like. I do hope my channel brings you a little bit of help .. morrisons suprise bags have been amazing for me .. I had another one recently which was even better .. and the yellow stickers are great. Sending love and healing thoughts to you ❤️ xx
@@MoneyMadeMagic Awww thank you I'm never sure when the yellow stickers are on as I usually go in the morning time but rarely get anything so hopefully this time of 4.30 & 5pm will be good fingers crossed. Yes it's been horrendous I had to apply for help towards John's basic funeral which only covered the cremation costs and had to pay £350 on top so I started the gofundme page so I could raise the funds which luckily I did and my Auntie helped too I was totally devastated and even now every time I go in the bathroom I can see him lying there hopefully in time it will get easier we got engaged last November sadly not meant to be I miss him so much everyday he was a great help to me as I have mobility problems he was looking after me didn't realise how much he did for me now he is no longer with me so sad been a dreadful year x
Good haul! Lots of nice fresh stuff. Ive treid 2 bags and tbh, if i wasnt trying to keep off sugar and bread ( because of a pre diabetic diagnosis)it would have been lots of nice little treats. I would be very pleased with your bag though but i would give away the cakes and freeze the bread for those days when the call of peanut butter toast was just too great! Lol!
That is a fantastic bag. I always seem to be disappointed w TGTG. I've collected a TGTG meat bag from Spar tonight, which I've never seen b4. Spar is an expensive "corner shop" type, so prices are inflated more than what you would pay elsewhere. I got chicken in a garlic & herb rub, which I've frozen. Then there was 2 pork chops & a pack of belly pork for £15 of food, I paid £5. When I opened the pork chops, I could smell the meat, which put me off, but I've cut all the fat off, diced it & have frozen it. The belly pork I've thrown because it had a smell to it & I can't cut the meat from the fat & I need to eat lean meat. I always have in my head what I would like to get & it never works out that way. I've also never had a bag w fruit or veg in. I usually get stir fry, which i dont like, even though I love all vegetables. I always say TGTG is good for people who aren't fussy & I am a really plain eater. I've deleted my TGTG a/c again xx
That's the one thing I'm very cautious about with Too Good to Go .. I did worry I would get things I couldn't eat. Im so sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with it. 😕xx
