I don’t mind that projects don’t get finished right away. I would however like if you would make a playlist with projects that were completed over time. So I can sit and watch them from beginning to end.
I personally dont care if you dont finish a project every week. Im just glad your channel exists. Thanks. Now come fix my bike. And get it done quickly, lol 😆
You forgot the number one rule when you are shipping something. After you shake the box, you have to say in a loud authoritative voice, " That ain't goin' nowhere."
I start my weekends with an episode of The bearded mechanic, a coffee and then I'm going to my garage to admire multiple unfinished project. Life is good.
OCC was officially the lowest point in US motorcycle culture. Imagine that at one point, the Tuetels were trying to expand into the second US based crap production motorcycle company.
@@truantray OCC only buy lot parts and build all together not more doing, and then junior fail art build many bike worst ride but beauty show bike , not can use road ,only show bike. parts have only cheap normal parts and all working normal, only worst has what idiot junior do all bike fail lot and stupid ideas lot destroy normal good bike him own stupid ideas.
Craig, if this is your first time cerakoting try their air dry selection instead of the one that needs to be baked. It is simple to work with and requires less experience. Taking it off is a legitimate nightmare so do not cut any corners in the prep. Their air dry coatings does hold up very well and even though it is less hard it is still waaaaayy more durable then paint.
Golf club boxes work best for shipping forks and shocks. Go to your local driving range, golf course or golf reseller and ask for any empty club boxes they have laying around. They are happy to get rid of them.
I love how you don't owe us an update but you provided us with an update. I'm seriously invested in your projects now. So is my girlfriend. And she doesn't know anything about bikes.
I don’t mind that it takes time for projects to get finished. It Gives us viewers more content to watch. I just enjoy the fact that you actually complete projects. Keep it up Craig and Dan!
I love you made an update on this. And it's an important one. To show, that while a finished video is half an hour maybe, there's gazilion arse-hours that go into it and even a simple washer can throw you back a week or a month. This is important to understand! Thanks!
Haven't been following for so long but I really do admire the commitment put into all the projects that are happening at once. Would like to send my best cheers for this time devotion. I will happily follow the progress whenever progress happens, content really does not have to show up regularly.
Take ur time, I got 4 old bikes on construction right now, and yes is a nightmare, got one honda shadow VT 600, a Kawasaki ninja EX 250 with a rebuild motor and stuff, full conversation to "Neo café". And s Honda XR200R ( Brasil version) rebuild completely. And yes it's a lot of time and money. U get problem after problem, after another problems, take it easy Craig ur the man
Hello, my first comment. All of us who restore old bikes and who order parts know that we will be missing something important when we put the bikes together. Perfect that you say it as it is and don't cut together a video where you have parts the next day👍 Things take time in the world of restoration👌 Regards Bjørn Bergset Norway. (I have also ordered specific springs for my upgrades on bikes from Race Tech and they have delivered every time👍)
I can't believe I doubted you. Those videos that almost disappointed me don't anymore. I look forward to your content. P.s. As long as you finish everything and ride it...
Its a small world and I already know what that BIG surprise is next week with the CX500. BHB let it out of the bag in his last video which was out yesterday. Looking forward to that one.
i know this all too well! i am in the middle of restoring a 70s honda z50 mini trail. every time i turn around i find something else i need to order.. and wait for.. patience is a virtue!
I can relate to the ordering parts trap. I had a dump truck in the shop for a month. I was waiting on parts to rebuild the steering column. Got those parts in and realized I needed more bearings. And they got delivered to the wrong place. 😮But I did get it done in the end
Im loving the fact that you arent slapping these bikes back together just to run enough for a video. You are actually taking the time to address the issues with them. Got mad respect for you, keep on rolling. It doesnt matter the projects are taking time, every guy/gal has an unfinished project thats been sat for too long or taking time 🤣
Take your time my friend. I don't even have a motorcycle and I watch all your videos. Keep doing what your doing. Get done what you can get done. We like watching the journey and we appreciate your honesty. Keep up the good work.
Honestly I would happily watch one build at a time from start to finish each week (progress allowing). They are all interesting on their own way, it's much easier to follow. I honestly forget which bikes you have in at the time week to week because of the gaps between working on them. Love the work that you are doing! Please come to the UK and fix my knackered 95k mile Honda NTV cheersthanksbye 😂
If you're going to use Cerakote, the prep is an absolute necessity to get right. If not you run the risk of it chipping off rather easily.. I've done a lot of paintball parts and once I nailed the prep, it comes out perfectly.
Happy to see your videos posted no matter what you are working on as I always learn a tip on what to or somtimes not to do in the video. You Are Appreciated.🙏😎👍
RaceTech hooked me up with springs for my KLX300 - I'm a heavy rider and really struggled trying to figure out what to do. Agree the website is A+ for knowledge.
This video is great because it shows what really goes on in shops. At least every shop/garage ive ever worked at. Keeping things straight is its own type of stress ontop of the actual mechanical work stress.
I, and i'm sure others didn't mean to rib too hard on project hell. I've got a few that are lingering longer than I'd like, so completely sympathetic. Your builds are great, looking forward to seeing these things wrapped up though in time!
I am in the same boat you are in, I kind of painted myself into a corner, way to many projects started and now I am overwhelmed not knowing what way to turn.
with the XR250, check between the valves and below the valve seats for cracks, this is common on these engines. The parts such as cam or followers still can be had new from CMS in the Netherlands
I am 100% with ya I have been working for years on my absolute dream bikes gpz900 cbr1100xx and zx11 and have been watching your channel for years love the show man have learned a lot
@@christianheidt5733 I wouldn’t have it any other way bro, if they made a pill that gave you hair tomorrow, I would never take it! 🤪 Take it easy my bald compadre!
I think the videos are great! I figure as long as you come back to finish a project, then take as long as needed! I’m seeing videos every week regardless. Thanks Craig! Have a good one!
I once got down to two elephants in my garage, that was a glorious day. Someone needs to make a nice leather seat and mount for that Geico bike, my a** hurts just thinking about riding that thing.
Definitely know how it goes, simultaneously working on 4 bikes at the moment (1x timing chain + full gasket/seal kit + a paint job, 2x crank bearings/seals, 1x new crank, bearings, and top end so 4 cases split all at once. Then also have one car to work on for a customer, my personal project car, and 2 other bikes I haven't even started on..just not enough time in the day or me's in the shop lol.
Thanks Craig great idea for a vid now we are all on the same page and know the status of all the projects. We ( the viewers ) need to learn patience and you learning so much more from the chopper adds to your knowledge base you can pass on. Dan have a wonderful time see you on your return.
You're really killing it lately Craig. I hope your channel grows so big, you and Dan can buy brand new Lamborghinis and race them against your brand new Ducatis.
I like the various ongoing projects. Its cool to see them move along in periodic episodes. Like following the different individual character stories within a novel or game. Hope Dan has fun on his Moon-kayak trip. Never seen Moon-kayaking before but it sounds cool
